Ravens CB Jimmy Smith underwent sports hernia surgery Thursday morning.

Smith is expected back before the end of the season, but it's another blow to the Ravens' ravaged secondary. Smith had stepped in for No. 1 corner Lardarius Webb, who is out for the season with a torn ACL. Now Corey Graham and Chykie Brown will have to step into major roles while Cary Williams holds down the No. 1 corner spot. Fantasy owners shouldn't be afraid of the Ravens' pass defense.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins' coaching staff is meeting Monday afternoon to "weigh" benching Ryan Tannehill for Week 4.

Per reporter Armando Salguero, a change "is not certain," but a real possibility. Coach Joe Philbin was simultaneously blunt and evasive in Monday's presser, declining to say he was planning to bench Tannehill, but also refusing any opportunity to throw a lifeline his quarterback's way. Tannehill has regressed instead of progressed this season, but the Dolphins would be better off committing to the run instead of going with backup Matt Moore. Tannehill is struggling, but he's still easily the Dolphins' best bet to manage games.

FOX Sports reports Vincent Jackson suffered a "small fracture in his wrist" during last week's 56-14 loss to the Falcons, but plans to play through it.

Jackson apparently suffered the injury on the Bucs' second series, which was before either of his two catches. It's obviously far from ideal, but it shouldn't be an issue that knocks V-Jax any farther down the fantasy ranks. With Mike Glennon likely taking over for Josh McCown (thumb) in Week 4, Jackson is a boom-or-bust WR2.

NFL.com's Albert Breer reports Kyle Rudolph (groin) needs surgery, and will be sidelined "about" six weeks.

He's undergoing a sports-hernia operation. It's a brutal blow for the Vikings' Adrian Peterson-less offense, and removes a big target for rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Rudolph has looked sluggish this season, and likely hasn't been at 100 percent all year. Considering the current league-wide depth at tight end, Rudolph can be dropped in 12-14 team re-draft leagues. The Vikes will roll with a combination of Rhett Ellison and MarQueis Gray.

Jonathan Stewart has a "severely" sprained knee, and will not be re-evaluated until Friday.

He's been all but ruled out for Week 4. It's unclear if the Panthers have received Stewart's MRI results, but it appears they have. Going on what we know now, Stewart should be considered week to week. With Mike Tolbert (leg) out for Week 4, the Panthers are down to DeAngelo Williams (thigh), Fozzy Whittaker (quad) and practice-squad signee Darrin Reaves. Carolina could be in the market for a veteran runner this week.

Panthers RB Mike Tolbert has been diagnosed with a "hairline fracture" in his leg, and ruled out for Week 4.

He's week to week. Tolbert took a big hit late in Sunday's loss, but it was unclear how serious it was since the game was almost over. With Jonathan Stewart battling a "severely" sprained knee, DeAngelo Williams could have the Panthers' backfield all to himself for Week 4 if he can get over his thigh injury. If not, the Panthers will be down to Fozzy Whittaker (quad) and Darrin Reaves. It's a big concern for a banged up Cam Newton.

Speaking Monday, Arian Foster (hamstring) called himself "day to day"

Players are typically bubbling over with enthusiasm when they expect to return, so Foster should be considered highly questionable for the time being. Foster hasn't exactly been the most enlightening with the media of late, however, so it's possible this is just his form of a non-answer. Coach Bill O'Brien will update his status in Monday's presser. For now, Foster owners need to keep Alfred Blue on speed dial for Week 4.

Eric Decker (hamstring) remains a true game-time decision for Monday night against the Bears.

"Even if he plays, you have to wonder how effective he'll be," said beat writer Manish Mehta. Decker did get a limited practice in on Saturday, giving owners some hope. He'll likely test the hammy out in pregame with trainers before making a final call. If Decker can go and is anywhere near 100 percent, he'll have a very tasty matchup against a Charles Tillman-less Bears secondary.

Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch tore his left ACL during Sunday's win over the Packers.

Tulloch suffered the injury in humiliating, Bill Gramatica fashion: Celebrating a sack with an attempt at a discount double-check. The sturdy veteran had previously never missed a game in his nine-year career. "It's unfortunate, man, you're passionate about the game," Tulloch said. "You want to get up and celebrate and it happened." The Lions compensated Sunday by moving DeAndre Levy to the middle and inserting Tahir Whitehead at weak-side linebacker.

Eagles C Jason Kelce needs surgery to repair a sports hernia.

It's the latest blow to a mangled Eagles offensive line. Kelce will reportedly be out 6-8 weeks, leaving David Molk to step in at center. This is a unit that was already without RT Lane Johnson (4-game suspension), RT Allen Barbre (ankle) and stud LG Evan Mathis (knee). An offensive line that was nothing short of dominant last season is now playing at a bottom-five level.

The Bears remain optimistic that Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) will play in Monday night's game against the Jets.

The Bears have been expecting each of their starting wideouts to play all week. In fact, there's reason to believe they're healthier now than they were against the 49ers when they combined for eight catches, 95 yards and three touchdowns. We'll have official word around 7pm ET.

The Bucs are reportedly confident that Doug Martin (knee) will return for Week 4 against the Steelers.

Martin was a late scratch last Thursday night, giving Bobby Rainey a chance to run toward the lead of this committee. Instead, Rainey lost two fumbles, averaged 3.72 YPC and the Bucs got whipped 56-14 by the Falcons. In other words, things couldn't have gone much better for Martin owners. If truly healthy, he'll likely start against a Steelers defense that is both shaky and injured.
