Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) is active and starting against the Saints on Sunday.

Heyward-Bey seemed to be on the wrong side of the questionable fence, but he is indeed giving it a go against the Saints. He was injured in Wednesday's practice and missed Thursday and Friday's sessions. At less than 100 percent, we don't feel good about DHB's chances of being a major contributor.

The Tampa Bay Times reports free agent Doug Martin is looking to "hit the jackpot" after finishing No. 2 in the NFL in rushing, and will hit the open market.

Bucs GM Jason Licht has claimed Martin and the team have a "mutual" desire to get a deal done, but beat writer Rick Stroud reports "the two sides aren't really that close in reaching an agreement." Martin is expected to ask for $8 million per year, roughly what DeMarco Murray received from the Eagles last offseason. "We'll have to see how it goes," Licht conceded. 27 years old and not much of an asset in the passing game, Martin is a candidate to get overpaid should he reach the market in March.

The Raiders have signed a one-year lease to remain in Oakland's O.Co Coliseum for the 2016 season.

The band aid deal gives the Raiders an official 2016 home as they shop around for a long-term solution. Las Vegas is the latest relocation rumor du jour, but Los Angeles could end up Oakland's most likely home for 2017. If the Chargers work out a deal in San Diego, the Raiders will be Hollywood bound.

Raiders re-signed S Nate Allen.

Allen's release ended up being a procedural move. His original $4.9 million salary was set to become guaranteed on Wednesday, an untenable sum for a methodically declining player who missed 11 games with a knee issue in 2015. The terms of the new agreement are unclear. Allen will be in the mix for a starting job, but it's far from a guarantee.

Bengals WLB Vontaze Burfict's three-game suspension for violating the league's policy on player safety has been upheld.

Burfict's ban was a candidate for reduction because it was so harsh, but the NFL has (rightfully) decided the punishment still fits the crime. Burfict was out of control late in the season, boiling over in a shameful display in the Wild Card round. He earned his ban the hard way. Absent a Bengals bye, he'll return in Week 4.

NFL draft insider Tony Pauline passes along "talk" from the Senior Bowl that the Titans may take Ole Miss LT Laremy Tunsil at No. 1 overall.

We'd go as far as to label Tunsil the early favorite for the Titans' No. 1 pick. Tennessee would probably prefer to trade down, but Tunsil would be a high-floor, high-upside fallback option. 6-foot-5, 305-pound Tunsil is considered a rare "dancing bear" athlete for the left tackle spot. In this scenario, current Titans LT Taylor Lewan would kick to right tackle, upgrading two positions.

NFL draft insider Tony Pauline reports Florida State DB Jalen Ramsey is the No. 1 overall player on the Cowboys' draft board.

The Cowboys have draft-board leaks seemingly every offseason. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds by the Seminoles, 21-year-old Ramsey profiles similarly to Antrel Rolle as a corner-safety hybrid with an affinity for run support. The Cowboys draft at No. 4 overall and have a legitimate chance at Ramsey, though he will also intrigue the Titans at 1, Browns at 2, and Chargers at 3.

Ex-NFL personnel man Bryan Broaddus compared Alabama RB Derrick Henry to famed Bears draft bust Curtis Enis.

Broaddus tweeted that he worries about 6-foot-3, 238-pound Henry "getting bigger and slower," and noted Henry's game tape reveals an oversized running back who "doesn't create," and needs "a lane to get going." Broaddus was hired by Hall of Fame GM Ron Wolf in Green Bay before spending time scouting for the Eagles, Jaguars, and Cowboys. The No. 5 overall pick in the 1998 draft, 250-pound Enis lasted just four seasons in the NFL, averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss believes free agent Matt Forte "could be a perfect fit" with the Patriots.

The price would have to be right -- the Pats aren't the sort of team to pay top dollar for a 30-year-old running back -- but on paper there isn't a better fit across the league than Forte in Foxboro. Reiss previously suggested the Patriots will "explore the possibility" of signing Forte. LeGarrette Blount is a free agent, while space back Dion Lewis is rehabbing a torn ACL.

Giants MLB Jon Beason announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons.

Word surfaced Wednesday morning that the Giants were releasing the 31-year-old. Instead of ending his career as a released player, Beason is opting for retirement. Beason was the 25th overall pick of the 2005 draft by the Panthers and spent the first six-and-a-half seasons of his career in Carolina before being traded to the Giants midway through the 2013 campaign. He appeared in all 48 games from 2005-2007 before injuries tore his career apart. Beason has battled numerous knee and foot issues and needed another knee surgery this offseason. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and one-time first-team All-Pro.

Browns OLB Armonty Bryant has been indicted on two counts of felony drug possession stemming from his December 25 arrest in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Former Browns DB De'Ante Saunders has been indicted for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. The two are scheduled to be arraigned in court on February 24. Highway patrol troopers found guns, ammo, and prescription drugs Adderall and Oxycodone in the car early Christmas morning. Saunders was released from the practice squad, and Bryant was benched for the final two games of the season after registering 5.5 sacks on the year.

ABC Philadelphia reports investigators are recommending the District Attorney's office file criminal charges against LeSean McCoy for his alleged assault.

Arrest warrants for McCoy and three other alleged assailants are expected to be served Wednesday or Thursday. McCoy is being accused of assaulting two off-duty police officers at a Philadelphia nightclub last Saturday night/Sunday morning. This has a long way to go, but it's possible McCoy serves time on the Commissioner/Exempt List. He could eventually become a candidate for in-season suspension, depending on what the investigation shows.
