Panthers waived OL Jeremy Bridges.

The 32-year-old wasn't in football shape after riding the pine in Arizona in the first half of the season. "We brought Jeremy in to be a starter," interim GM Brandon Beane said. "Unfortunately, it just didn't work."

Cody Kessler believes he improved his arm strength this offseason.

Coach Hue Jackson agrees, saying Kessler "is stronger" and his "ball has more zip on it." Arm strength is never going to be a calling card for Kessler, but being able to force the ball into tighter windows and throw a better deep ball certainly will not hurt. Kessler is the favorite in the Browns' quarterback battle.

Danny Woodhead (ACL) said he is practicing with "no restrictions."

"I’m just playing football now," Woodhead added. "I haven’t been thinking about needing to do stuff to rehab it because I’m healthy now." Woodhead tore his ACL on September 18, so he is a full eight months removed at this point. The Ravens may still baby him through the offseason program, but he should be a full-go for training camp. A great receiving back who is also a factor in the red zone, Woodhead is likely to be undervalued in both PPR and standard formats this year.

Jerick McKinnon opened Vikings OTAs handling "most of the first-team reps" in the running back corps.

It's not a surprise since Latavius Murray (ankle) is on the shelf and Dalvin Cook is a rookie. With that said, McKinnon has no Rotoworld blurbs since January 1, and his outlook has changed dramatically in the past few months. McKinnon offers scheme experience and receiving skills, but Cook is a far superior inside runner, and Murray is making nearly $4 million this year. McKinnon is in danger of slipping to third string on the depth chart.

Laquon Treadwell has run with the first-team offense at Vikings OTAs.

The 23rd overall pick in last year's draft, Treadwell managed one reception during his rookie campaign. The Vikings are just trying to build his confidence by running him in three-receiver sets with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, but perhaps it'll work. A GIF circulated Wednesday of Treadwell beating Xavier Rhodes for a long catch from Sam Bradford in OTAs. The Vikings signed Michael Floyd as a fallback option should Treadwell not make a sophomore leap.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Bears third-year WR Kevin White has spent the last several months "working to align his stride" when running.

White missed his rookie season with a fractured left tibia, then missed all but four games of his sophomore campaign with a "fibular spiral fracture" and "severe ankle ligament damage" in the same leg. Per the Tribune's Rich Campbell, the Bears simply "don't know" whether White will regain his explosiveness. White is nothing more than a late-round flier in 2017 fantasy drafts.

Philip Rivers indicated Branden Oliver (Achilles') has looked as good as new at Chargers OTAs.

Oliver is coming off a brutal injury, but he suffered it last August and will be over a full year removed for Week 1. "It’s been great (having him back)," Rivers. "Gosh, we had really such high expectations for him going into last year. ... He looks good. He looks explosive. I know it’s early, but I think he really is a great complement to Melvin (Gordon). Their styles are different, but similar. (We) have two backs who can run all the same plays." Oliver is a handcuff to remember entering the 2017 fantasy season.

The Kansas City Star expects Spencer Ware to return as the Chiefs' starting running back.

ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher previously projected rookie Kareem Hunt as the team's likely leader in 2017 rushing attempts and running back catches. Ware has averaged 4.63 yards per carry and 11.6 yards per reception over the past two seasons, however, and the Chiefs shouldn't be in any hurry to pull Ware off the field. This will be a camp battle to monitor closely.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase suggested Jay Ajayi could see as many as 350 carries this season.

This assumes his health cooperates, of course, and that the Dolphins lead on the scoreboard enough to feed Ajayi the nearly 22 carries per week required to approach 350 attempts. Regardless, it's clear the Dolphins' offense is now built around Ajayi and not on Ryan Tannehill's arm. "I'm ready for it," Ajayi said when asked about his feature back usage. "I prepare myself every season to take a huge workload and be able to carry the team, and I think I'm ready for that." Ajayi is one of the highest-upside running back picks in the second round.

Cowboys RBs coach Gary Brown insisted Wednesday that Ezekiel Elliott does not have a concussion.

Elliott is sitting out OTAs after suffering a head injury in a Sunday night car accident. The Cowboys claim he merely took a "hit to the head," and isn't concussed, experiencing only "neck stiffness" and "body stiffness." Zeke is reportedly being held out of practice as a "precaution." Elliott is expected to resume practicing next Tuesday. Strangely, Zeke has been involved in two automobile accidents already this year.

Browns hired former Colts GM Ryan Grigson as Senior Personnel Executive.

Grigson was fired in January after a disastrous five years with the Colts. He's reuniting with VP of Player Personnel Andrew Berry, over whom Grigson was the boss in Indy. The Browns had an opening after national scout Lake Dawson left for Buffalo. While his hire will undoubtedly be poorly received, Grigson adds a veteran scouting presence to an unproven front office.

Patriots signed WR Andrew Hawkins to a one-year contract.

Hawkins says he left money on the table in order to win a championship with the Patriots. Hawkins played a minor role with Cleveland over the last three years, and only finished with 33 catches in 2016. A slot man-only, the 31-year-old has his work cut out to make the Patriots' 53-man roster. Hawkins would likely have to outplay Danny Amendola in training camp to do so.
