According to coach Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) "made all the necessary throws" in Wednesday's practice.

According to Tomlin, Roethlisberger had "good velocity" on his passes. It's a strong indication the Steelers expect him to return and start against the Chargers. How Roethlisberger feels on Thursday will be critical, but it appears there will be no drama this time around. Ben will be taking on a Bolts' pass defense that's been stung for 21 touchdowns in 12 games, and is allowing a weekly 241 yards.

The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley reports Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron will miss Thursday night's game against the Bengals because of a concussion.

Cameron has a long history with concussions, so it is possible this injury sidelines him for a while. Dion Sims should be close to an every-down player with Cameron out.

An MRI confirmed Redskins FS DeAngelo Hall tore his ACL Week 3 against the Giants.

Hall seemed to be holding out hope he escaped without a serious injury Sunday night, but doctors always suspected a tear. Hall had looked good in his transition to safety, so his loss is a big one for an already thin safety corps. Hall is owed $4.25 million in 2017, the final year of his deal.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Ryan Mathews' ankle "stiffened" Week 3 against the Steelers.

It explains why he played just eight snaps in the blowout win. Mathews has been dealing with an ankle injury since training camp, but he has not been on the injury report. He will get the bye week to heal up before facing the Lions in Week 5.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports Giants third-round FS Darian Thompson is not dealing with a Lisfranc injury.

Thompson is still likely to miss a few weeks, but it is good news considering the negative mood around his foot injury last week. Nat Berhe should continue to start while Thompson is sidelined.

Chargers ILB Manti Te'o will be sidelined the rest of the season after suffering a torn Achilles' Week 3 against the Colts.

This was the expectation after he went down without contact in coverage. Te'o is the third player the Chargers have lost to an Achilles' injury already this year. It is a really tough blow for Te'o, who is in the final year of his rookie deal. Already a limited athlete, the former second-rounder will likely have to settle for a prove-it deal.

Bears fifth-round RB Jordan Howard said he is "comfortable" playing a bigger role.

That is good news considering Jeremy Langford was carted off the field Sunday night and spotted in a walking boot after the game. Howard was already earning more work even before the injury, however, and was much more effective with his touches than Langford has been at any point this season. Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) should also have a role once he gets healthy, but Howard could run away with the starting job. He is a must-add in all formats.

Rashad Jennings (thumb) said he sat out Week 3 against the Redskins because of concerns about his ability to contribute in the passing game.

Jennings said he has no problem holding the ball in his right hand when rushing, but the thumb injury does affect his ability to catch and pass protect. Jennings said he is "going to do everything I possibly can" to be ready for Monday night's matchup with the Vikings, but it would not be surprising if he sat out again. Orleans Darkwa and Shane Vereen split work with Jennings sidelined.

Le'Veon Bell's three-game suspension has ended.

Bell will rejoin the team this week and should start on Sunday night against the Chiefs. DeAngelo Williams played well while Bell was suspended, but Bell will return to a massive workload as the clear lead back. He is a locked-in RB1 moving forward.

Pro Football Talk reports Cam Newton (ankle) "feels good" and is "ready to go."

Newton appeared to tweak his ankle in the Week 3 loss to the Vikings, but it does not look like it will be a concern moving forward. The real concern is the number of hits Newton has taken through three weeks behind a shaky offensive line, but the unit should have a much better day with the inept Falcons' pass rush next up on the schedule.

Zach Ertz (ribs) said he expects to be back Week 5.

Ertz has a displaced rib which could cause internal damage if not fully healed before he returns. He has yet to be cleared by doctors, but he has the bye week to get healthy. Trey Burton will get a good matchup against the Lions if Ertz is unable to play following the off week.

Dez Bryant will undergo an MRI on his knee Monday.

Bryant scored in the fourth quarter of Sunday evening's Bears shellacking, but evidently tweaked something. X-rays came back negative, but the Cowboys were compelled to do further testing. For what it's worth, owner Jerry Jones said he's "fine with it," but clearly nothing can be ruled out until the MRI results come back. We'll learn Bryant's status some time on Monday.
