Raiders reinstated MLB Rolando McClain from suspension.

It doesn't mean McClain will immediately resume playing. CBS' Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that the Raiders are capable of voiding the remaining guaranteed money in McClain's rookie contract based on the fact that he was suspended. McClain is due a total of $3.6 million guaranteed for the 2013-2014 seasons. McClain has pocketed $20 million already from the Raiders.

Chiefs OLB Tamba Hali expressed frustration with his 2016 role.

Hali made multiple grievances on his status with the Chiefs in a Saturday tweetstorm. He questioned his late season workload, and is still disgruntled over his lack of playing time in Kansas City's Divisional Round loss to the Steelers. Hali was productive despite starting just two games last year, ranking as a top-15 outside linebacker at PFF. With Dee Ford on the rise, there's unlikely to be a major snaps increase in his age-33 season.

Texans rookie RB D'Onta Foreman tested negative for marijuana.

Foreman was arrested for marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon in Austin last Sunday. His attorney has been trying to clear his name since, though this doesn't change much in his legal situation. Foreman has been trending in the wrong direction after reporting to rookie camp out of shape. He'll enter training camp behind Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue.

Free agent Ronnie Hillman worked out for the Cowboys on Thursday.

He was joined by ex-Jaguars running back Denard Robinson. The Cowboys are looking to stock their backfield in case of an Ezekiel Elliott suspension, which has now become a foregone conclusion. Hillman bounced around the league last season, making stops in San Diego and Minnesota after being dropped by Denver at the end of training camp. Hillman would give Dallas some backfield depth behind Elliott and Darren McFadden.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports free agent Anquan Boldin will visit the Bills on Monday.

Boldin had planned to sign with a team just prior to training camp and it looks like he'll have a chance to do just that. The Bills are thin at receiver outside of injury-prone Sammy Watkins and pursued Jeremy Maclin and Eric Decker before those players signed elsewhere last month. Boldin has a history with Tyrod Taylor, who was his teammate in Baltimore for two seasons. Entering his age-37 season, Boldin isn't as explosive as he was early in his career but he's still a savvy possession receiver with a nose for the end zone. He pulled in 67 catches for 594 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns with the Lions last season.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL will not announce any discipline for Ezekiel Elliott this weekend.

That means Elliott's situation will remain unresolved when the Cowboys open training camp on Saturday. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday that the NFL is nearing the end of its investigation into Elliott's troubling off-field behavior including a domestic violence incident from last year. It was reported by Schefter last week that Elliott is bracing for at least a "short suspension." That makes Zeke a risky fantasy choice inside the top five.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the NFL's investigation into Ezekiel Elliott's 2016 domestic violence incident is "nearing completion."

In cooperation with the NFL Players Association, Elliott and his representatives have responded to the NFL's investigation, answering any lingering questions that had previously been unanswered. The NFL has reportedly shared its findings with Elliott as well as the NFLPA, though those familiar with the investigation are saying that the league has yet to make a recommendation on any kind of punishment. The investigation into Elliott, who has been involved in a seemingly endless string of off-field incidents since entering the league, began all the way back on July 22, 2016. Most reports are suggesting at least a short suspension for last year's NFL rushing leader, so stay tuned.

Free agent RB Denard Robinson worked out for the Cowboys on Friday.

Dallas appears set atop their running back depth chart with Ezekiel Elliott, Darren McFadden, and Alfred Morris, but an Elliott suspension could be coming down the chute. Robinson is a "name" player who has shown little game at the pro level. The Cowboys could simply be doing due diligence here. Robinson turns 27 in September.

NFL suspended Bengals CB Adam Jones one game for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Jones pleaded guilty to a second-degree misdemeanor in May stemming from an early January incident at Cincinnati hotel. With that settled, the soon-to-be 34-year-old will miss the season opener against the Ravens. Involved in plenty of off-field drama early in his career, Jones has settled down in his years with the Bengals and remains an above-average cover man, even at his advanced age.

Chiefs signed first-round QB Patrick Mahomes to a four-year, $16.4 million contract.

With Mahomes' signing, only five first-rounders have yet to ink their contracts. The Chiefs' quarterback of the future, Mahomes is expected to begin the year on the sideline behind Alex Smith, but we would expect him to make rookie starts. The days of first-year first-rounders learning on the bench have gone the way of Brett Favre. A gunslinger who looks to create big plays, Mahomes could be too aggressive for his own good as a young player, but has monster upside for a team that's been saddled with arch-conservative quarterback play the past four seasons.

Panthers released/failed physical OT Michael Oher.

The Panthers' former left tackle, Oher entered the concussion protocol last Week 4 and has remained there since. "The brain is a scary thing," Oher posted on social media following the announcement. "You have to be careful with it." The Panthers spent the offseason preparing for life after Oher, lavishing money on LT Matt Kalil and using a second-round pick on Taylor Moton. Oher, whose career was stalling before he surprisingly emerged as the Panthers' blindside protector, turned 31 in April. His NFL future is looking bleak.

Panthers signed RG Trai Turner to a four-year, $45 million extension through 2021.

The deal includes $20.5 million guaranteed, and makes Turner a top-three guard in terms of average annual salary. Interim GM Marty Hurney immediately got to work on what had been one of ex-GM Dave Gettleman's goals. The No. 92 overall pick of the 2014 draft, Turner has turned in back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns, though Pro Football Focus charted him as having a down 2016. He dealt with both knee and ankle injuries last season. Turner turned 24 in June.
