LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick have both passed their concussion tests and been medically cleared to resume practicing.

Vick won't be playing on Thursday night, but McCoy might have a chance. Both players may return to practice on Tuesday. If McCoy does rejoin the lineup -- and we may not know for sure until the inactives for Bengals-Eagles are announced Thursday evening -- it would be an obvious blow to Bryce Brown's Week 15 fantasy outlook. Stay tuned. The Eagles have benched Vick in favor of Nick Foles, but they've made no such commitments in their offensive backfield.

Bears placed WLB Lance Briggs (groin) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Briggs was hoping to make a late-season return, but will be shut down with only five games remaining. He's struggled to stay healthy the last two years and isn't expected to be re-signed. 34-year-old Briggs graded out as a top-five outside linebacker against the run and should draw free-agent interest. Rookie Christian Jones will take over for Briggs on the weak side.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Matt Vensel considers the Vikings' Week 13 backfield distribution "unclear" with Jerick McKinnon (back) not playing against the Panthers.

Joe Banyard was the only Vikings back left who played last week, gaining 45 yards on eight touches in a loss to Green Bay. He outplayed McKinnon, while Matt Asiata (concussion) was inactive and Ben Tate didn't play at all. Asiata is probably the favorite for playing time against Carolina, but Banyard arguably earned more work. Tate is superfluous on the roster at this point.

Updating a previous item, the Cardinals listed Larry Fitzgerald (questionable, knee) as a "limited" participant in Friday's practice, and are calling him a game-time decision for Week 13.

Reporters didn't see Fitz on the practice field to open the session, so it was assumed he didn't participate. The Cardinals are claiming he did. "If he goes, he goes," coach Bruce Arians said, insisting Fitzgerald wouldn't be "limited" in Sunday's game at Atlanta if he's active. "That’s the only reason he would play, because he can play." Arians added Fitzgerald is "progressing nicely" off his MCL sprain. He'll be a dicey WR3 option in a late-afternoon game.

Free agent Ray Rice has won his appeal and will be reinstated to the NFL.

He's free to sign with any team. Unfortunately, finding a taker is an even bigger hurdle for Rice than winning his appeal, which was expected. A team interested in the declining 28-year-old (in January) would likely have to embrace a major public relations hit after Rice was suspended for socking his drunken then-fiancee in an elevator. Rice hasn't been effective on the field in quite some time. There's no guarantee he is still capable of helping a team.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien reiterated Friday that he expects Arian Foster (groin, questionable) to play Sunday against Tennessee.

Foster's fantasy owners should be doing cartwheels right now because the Titans have arguably the leakiest run defense in the league. Foster participated in practice on some level every day this week, and the Texans' medical staff wouldn't be letting him back in the fold if he weren't close to full strength. He'll be a top-shelf RB1 in this cupcake matchup.

Julius Thomas (ankle) missed his third straight practice Friday.

Thomas appeared on the side of Friday's practice, but did not participate. He may officially be considered a game-time decision against the Chiefs, but we suspect Thomas will not play. With Julius out for Week 12, Jacob Tamme didn't even play 50 percent of Denver's offensive snaps. Demaryius Thomas took over as the red-zone dominator and scored three touchdowns.
Nov 28 - 2:02 PM

Jerick McKinnon (back) said Friday he will not play in Week 13.

He's officially listed as doubtful, but will be inactive. It's a major missed opportunity for McKinnon against a porous Panthers run defense. The Vikings will turn to some combination of Joe Banyard, Matt Asiata, and perhaps Ben Tate against the Panthers. Tate didn't play a snap last week, while Banyard played 30 and was effective on limited touches. Asiata is due back from his concussion and is the odds-on favorite to lead this backfield in playing time.

Falcons coach Mike Smith said Friday he is "confident" Roddy White (ankle, questionable) will play Sunday against the Cardinals despite missing every practice session this week.

It does look like White will be out there against the Cardinals, but in the past Roddy has cautioned against starting him in fantasy leagues when he's unable to practice. "He did work with our (athletic performance) people today and got good reports on where he was in terms of moving around," said Smith. "I feel confident, still, that he'll play on Sunday." Fantasy owners have a tough decision to make. The matchup won't be easy for White against red-hot LCB Patrick Peterson, and especially not if Roddy is short of full health.

Coach Rex Ryan said Friday he "anticipates" Geno Smith starting at quarterback for the Jets' final five games.

Asked whose decision it was to start Geno, Rex replied, "It's a Jets decision." It was obviously Jets GM John Idzik's decision, as he wants to get more evaluation time on Geno after drafting him in last year's second round. Per beat reporter Manish Mehta, Ryan, OC Marty Mornhinweg, and QBs coach David Lee all believe Michael Vick would give New York a better chance to win.
Nov 28 - 1:48 PM

Jordan Cameron (concussion) is listed as questionable for Week 13 at Buffalo.

Cameron was limited in practice all week. He may have to clear one more hurdle in the NFL's concussion protocol to receive clearance to face Buffalo. If Cameron does play, we wouldn't expect there to be any limitations on his snap count after he missed the previous four games. Despite a disappointing 2014 season, Cameron will reemerge as a fantasy TE1 when he gets the green light.
Nov 28 - 1:45 PM

Dwayne Allen (ankle) remained sidelined at Friday's practice and has been ruled out for Week 13.

Coby Fleener will play the vast majority of the snaps against Washington, with Jack Doyle serving as the blocking tight end. Despite last week's clunker, Fleener is squarely in the mix as an upside TE1. Allen has now missed two games. It's worth wondering if he indeed has a high ankle sprain.
