Coach Mike Tomlin said there won't be any changes to his running back rotation this week.

That means Jonathan Dwyer will start and be the feature back, Isaac Redman will be a third-down pass protector and Rashard Mendenhall will be inactive. Dwyer has managed just 211 yards, a 3.29 YPC average and one touchdown during the last five games, leaving him as a risky flex option in Dallas Sunday. Mendenhall has likely played his final snap as a Steeler.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan wouldn't commit to Josh McCown as the team's starting quarterback.

Maccagnan said that decision will be made by coach Todd Bowles. He added that it's "highly unlikely" the Jets will add another quarterback in free agency but acknowledged that drafting one is a possibility. McCown is still the odds-on favorite to start but it's a near certainty that his body will break down at some point. That would open the door for Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg to make starts later in the year.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports free agent Adrian Peterson is looking for $8 million in the first year of his new contract.

He can keep dreaming. That would make Peterson the third highest-paid running back in the league behind Le'Veon Bell and LeSean McCoy. Previous reports have suggested teams are reluctant to pay Peterson even $5 million annually, making his $8 million asking price downright laughable. Aging, fragile and fumble-prone, Peterson's stock has never been lower.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Packers "mulled" a visit with free agent Adrian Peterson but ultimately decided against it.

According to Fowler, Peterson's asking price is believed to be too high. One of the best running backs in the history of the league, Peterson doesn't seem to realize he's a 32-year-old running back in an NFL that is devaluing the position. He's not going to get top-end money. Peterson will likely have to settle for something around $5-6 million or he's going to be without a team.

Colts released DT Arthur Jones.

This move has been in the works seemingly forever. Signed to a "five-year, $33 million" deal in 2014, Jones appeared in just 17-of-48 games he was in Indianapolis. Chalk it up as another big whiff by ex-GM Ryan Grigson, and new GM Chris Ballard is trimming the fat. Jones turns 31 later this year and is coming off a groin injury and was also suspended four games in 2016 for PEDs. It's unclear how much Jones has left in the tank, but the Colts save $5.15 million with the move.

Redskins signed WR Brian Quick, formerly of the Rams, to a one-year contract.

The Rams reached for Quick at No. 33 overall in the 2012 draft, and it took him years to figure out the pro game coming out of small-school Appalachian State. Rams staffers were comparing him to Vincent Jackson and Terrell Owens coming out of college. Obviously, those comps never materialized, but Quick has good size at 6'3/218 and has a strong 14.3 career YPR average. Quick figures to slide in as the No. 4 receiver as long as Josh Doctson is healthy.

Panthers signed RB Jonathan Stewart to a one-year extension through 2018.

Stewart turned 30 earlier this week. There was some belief that the Panthers could release Stewart this offseason, saving $6.25 million as a post-June 1 cut, but GM Dave Gettleman apparently thinks there's more in the tank. Stewart averaged a career-low 3.8 YPC (minimum 100 carries) last season, though he did score a seven-year-high nine touchdowns, seeing more goal-line work with the Panthers trying to limit Cam Newton's rushing opportunities. Gettleman has already said he'll draft a running back this year. Leonard Fournette at No. 8 could still be in play.

Packers signed DL Ricky Jean-Francois to a one-year, $3 million contract.

Jean-Francois slides right in as a proven run stopper for a defense that started out hot on the ground last season, but faded as the year wore on. Headed into his age-31 season, Jean-Francois hasn't missed a game since 2013. He will be a valuable role player in Green Bay.

Jets signed WR Quinton Patton, formerly of the 49ers.

Coming off a career high 37 catches for 408 yards, Patton is reuniting with WRs coach John Morton, who coached Patton the first two years of his career under Jim Harbaugh. Not an explosive athlete, Patton makes his name with competence and sure hands. He'll fight for No. 3 or 4 duties in New York.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Julio Jones (foot surgery) is expected to be "full strength" for the start of training camp.

Jones' initial timeline had him questionable for the start of camp, but apparently a more optimistic estimate has emerged. Either way, the superstar figures to be babied through the summer, and perhaps even held out of the preseason. The only goal is having Jones ready for Week 1, which he should be.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports it's "increasingly likely" free agent Darrelle Revis signs with the Patriots.

Citing "numerous league sources," La Canfora reports New England is shaping up as perhaps the only place Revis would play. The Boston Globe advised four days ago not to "discount" the possibility of Revis in New England, but it does seem rather a stretch after Bill Belichick confidant Mike Lombardi opined for The Ringer that Revis has yet to find a new home because he "has not really taken care of his body" and "looked slow" on 2016 tape. Beyond speculation, there's been nothing concrete — like a visit — linking Revis to his former team.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Saints coach Sean Payton and Johnny Manziel met to discuss "a return to football" during Super Bowl week.

RapSheet has also reported Manziel drew "real interest" at the Combine and is still training for a return. While this report is likely true, it does not mean the Saints will rush out to sign a marginally talented quarterback with a troubling legal history, especially considering the city they play in and Manziel's issues with substance abuse. It still does not seem likely Manziel will get another shot in the NFL.
