The Giants announced that David Wilson is starting at Atlanta in Week 15 with Ahmad Bradshaw (knee, foot) inactive.

The coaching staff still doesn't trust Wilson to know his assignments in blitz pickup, so Kregg Lumpkin will play on passing downs. The explosive Wilson, capable of grinding between the tackles and breaking off long runs to the edge, remains a good bet for 15+ touches as the primary early-down back. It's an excellent matchup against a Falcons defense allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing backs. We consider Wilson a viable RB1 option this week.

Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence is getting x-rays on his right foot and ankle after being forced from practice Tuesday.

Lawrence went down awkwardly on his right ankle while working against Tyron Smith in a one-on-one drill. He struggled to put weight on the leg after the injury, and eventually had to be helped off the field. The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the loss of Lawrence could be a devastating one for a Dallas defense already desperate for pass rushers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Josh Gordon will argue in his appeal hearing that his positive marijuana test was the result of second-hand smoke.

The news comes to light after it was revealed that Gordon's positive test was barely above the NFL's strict threshold. Gordon would have tested negative for marijuana in Major League Baseball, the Olympics and even the federal government. It shines a light on just how odious the NFL's marijuana policy is. Gordon's appeal will be heard on Friday.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Lions are willing to let walk-year DT Ndamukong Suh reach the open market next offseason.

Per Rapoport, the Lions want an "informed" Suh to "sign a deal he’s happy with." It's a bizarre tact, one that would all but assure Suh leaves as a free agent. Players of his caliber almost never hit the market. It's possible the Lions are simply tired of the Suh experience, but he's an irreplaceable presence up front.

Marshawn Lynch has accrued $455,000 in fines for his holdout.

Lynch is drawing $30,000 in daily fines, while his sixth day of holding out on Tuesday triggered a $275,000 fine under terms of the CBA. Coach Pete Carroll has expressed a desire to come to a resolution. That will likely include forgiving Lynch's fines.

A San Antonio official confirms the city has had relocation talks with the Raiders.

"I was asked to meet two weeks ago with the owner of the Oakland Raiders, Mark Davis, and members of his staff," were the words of city manager Sheryl Sculley. "Mr. Davis has expressed interest in a possible relocation of his NFL team to San Antonio and we are engaged in preliminary due diligence." Davis has admitted he was in San Antonio on the weekend of July 18, but claims it was to attend the induction of former Raider Cliff Branch into a "local Hall of Fame." At the very least, Davis is looking to leverage San Antonio against Oakland in the sides' stadium battle.

Steven Jackson is out indefinitely with a left hamstring injury, but is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Coach Mike Smith claimed Tuesday the injury isn't serious, but was vague on Jackson's timeline, only saying he's expected to be ready for Week 1. It's not the same hamstring that cost S-Jax four games in 2013, but it's up for debate whether that's good or bad news. No matter how serious, it's a big blow for a player who had reportedly looked "rejuvenated." It's a reminder that Jackson's advancing age (31) and recent health woes make him a dicey RB2. Rookie Devonta Freeman is worth a draft flier in all formats.

David Wilson will undergo tests after suffering a neck "burner" in Tuesday's practice.

NFL Network's Kimberly Jones reports the Giants "will be careful" with Wilson, which is probably the understatement of the century. It's extremely bad news for Wilson to have any issues with his surgically-repaired neck so shortly after being cleared. If drafting early, make Wilson a late-round flier at your own risk.

A source informed Profootballtalk that suspended WR Josh Gordon's failed drug test barely generated a positive, and it would have been a negative had luck been on Gordon's side.

Gordon was summoned for a urine sample. Those samples are split into two bottles, one marked "A" and the other "B." It's completely random which one is marked "A" and which is labeled "B." "A" is tested first, and if it generates a positive test, then "B" is tested. The limit is 15 nanograms-per-milliliter. Gordon's "A" bottle showed a concentration of 16 ng/ml, while his "B" registered a 13.6 ng/ml. The result was a failed test. If urine sample handlers would have by chance marked the "A" bottle "B" and the "B" bottle "A," then Gordon would be free to play. Gordon is appealing the ban, and his hearing will be held on Friday. There seems to be a decent chance he wins.

Jets RBs coach Anthony Lynn confirmed Chris Ivory is the favorite to be the Jets' goal-line back this season.

"If we were playing tomorrow, Chris Ivory would be on the goal line, obviously," Lynn said. "Sometimes in those situations you have an extra defender that you can’t block, and you need a back that can take him on." Ivory weighs over 220 pounds and will serve as the short-yardage vulture while Chris Johnson operates as the Jets' lead back between the twenties. Ivory may still struggle for weekly start-ability in fantasy leagues barring a CJ?K injury.

Odell Beckham (hamstring) will miss at least another week after his MRI came back negative for a tear on Monday.

While it's good he doesn't have a tear, Beckham's strain has lingered since the spring and become a fairly major concern early in training camp. The Giants hope he'll be back by their second preseason game. OBJ is competing for snaps with Jerrel Jernigan behind Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle. If he can't kick the injury, it's conceivable Beckham would open the season as the Giants' No. 4 receiver. We don't see much reason to take a flier on OBJ in re-draft leagues.

Cardinals OLB John Abraham was arrested and charged with DUI in Atlanta on June 29.

This may explain why Abraham, 36, has yet to show up to Cardinals camp. He was previously busted for DWI in 2003 while with the Jets, so Abraham may be staring down a suspension once the legal process plays out. Considering how long it takes for these matters to be resolved, it may not even affect Abraham during the 2014 season. Abraham led Arizona with 11.5 sacks last year.
