Dez Bryant (finger) is active for Week 15 against the Steelers.

CB Morris Claiborne (concussion) is out. It became clear as the week progressed that Bryant would suit up, but the question remains his effectiveness. The Cowboys hope a combination of tape and a pain injection will enable their white-hot WR1 to catch passes, but it's still possible he could be reduced to glorified-decoy status. Nevertheless, Bryant has simply been playing too well to be benched under any circumstance. Also inactive for the Cowboys are RB Phillip Tanner, G Kevin Kowalksi, C David Arkin, OT Darrion Weems, DT Jay Ratliff and S Charlie Peprah.

Leonard Fournette (ankle) is inactive for Week 7 against the Colts.

Fournette told reporters he expected to play this week, but the Jaguars are playing it safe with an upcoming bye. Chris Ivory will start and is a plug-and-play RB2, with Corey Grant likely to see more snaps on pass downs. Fournette looks on track to return in Week 9.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer expects Browns CB Jason McCourty (questionable, ankle) to be inactive for Week 7 against the Titans.

He tweaked his ankle at Friday's practice and per Cabot, it "wasn't looking good for him" this morning. McCourty has been the league's top cover corner according to PFF's grades this season, so this would obviously be a major blow to the Browns' secondary. It would also be an upgrade for all Titans pass-catchers including Rishard Matthews and Eric Decker.

ProFootballTalk reports the Texans are open to trading holdout LT Duane Brown.

Brown has skipped the first six games over a contract dispute. There's speculation he'll return in Week 8 to avoid his deal from tolling, but it's not clear if the Texans want him back. Brown is one of the bigger names that could be moved ahead of the trade deadline. The Seahawks and Cardinals are contenders that need an upgrade at left tackle.

Updating an earlier report, Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is out for Week 7 against the Vikings.

Maclin was originally expected to play but had a setback during pregame warmups. This will be his second straight absence. With Breshad Perriman (concussion) also out, Mike Wallace and Michael Campanaro will work as the Ravens' lead wideouts on Sunday.
Oct 22 - 11:01 AM

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he "would love" if Adrian Peterson saw 25 carries per game.

He added they could get Peterson involved in the passing game now that he has more of the playbook down, something they may need with Andre Ellington unlikely to play against the Rams. Peterson is a must-start this week in a great matchup.
Oct 22 - 10:58 AM

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports Willie Snead (hamstring) will be inactive for Week 7 against the Packers.

Snead must have had a setback after seeing just three targets last week in his season debut. His absence will open up snaps for Ted Ginn while cementing Mike Thomas' status as a top-shelf WR1. Consider Snead week to week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports C.J. Prosise (ankle) will either be inactive or play "minimal snaps" Week 7 against the Giants.

This is a surprise. A full participant in practice both Thursday and Friday, Prosise was fully expected to return after sitting out two games and the bye with a bum ankle. With Prosise expected to be at best limited, J.D. McKissic should retain a role in the passing game, but neither is worth starting in fantasy. Prosise is not a must-hold in shallow leagues.

Ezekiel Elliott is scheduled for a hearing in front of a New York judge on October 30.

His case will be heard by Judge Katherine Failla in the Southern District of New York. Elliott is hoping for a preliminary injunction against the NFL, which would further delay his six-game suspension for violating the league's code of conduct. The NFL is pushing to have the hearing on October 27, which would put Zeke's status in jeopardy for Week 8 against the Redskins. On the field, Elliott hasn't been as productive as he was during his rookie season but still ranks seventh in rushing yards per game (78.6).
Oct 22 - 9:35 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Sterling Shepard (questionable, ankle) will play Week 7 against the Seahawks.

Shepard was expected to be a game-time call, but apparently he showed enough to get the green light from New York's medical staff. It's a bad matchup but with Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall both out with season-ending ankle injuries, Shepard should see plenty of looks from Eli Manning. Shepard's return could come at the expense of Evan Engram, who led the G-Men with 82 yards on seven targets a week ago.
Oct 22 - 9:03 AM

Jeremy Maclin (questionable, shoulder) is expected to play Week 7 against the Vikings.

The Ravens are also expected to have Mike Wallace (back) and Ben Watson (knee). Maclin got in a limited week of practice after sitting out against the Bears in Week 6. Despite his name recognition, Maclin has averaged just 24 yards during his three-game touchdown drought and should be avoided against a stout Vikings secondary.
Oct 22 - 8:59 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms Jordan Matthews (questionable, thumb) is expected to play Week 7 against the Buccaneers.

Matthews is returning two weeks sooner than expected after going down with a broken thumb in Week 4. He'll play with a splint over his glove to stabilize his thumb. J-Matt has an enticing home matchup against the Bucs and should see a steady workload Sunday with Charles Clay (knee surgery) sidelined. That's enough to put him on the WR3 radar.
