Updating a previous item, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Seahawks LCB Richard Sherman won his four-game PED suspension appeal.

Sherman originally tweeted out the news saying, "Thank you NFL for upholding the truth... I won." Schefter and multiple national writers have also confirmed the news, along with the NFL Players Association. Sherman hasn't denied that he tested positive for amphetamines, but he has indeed won the appeal based on the "specimen collector screwed up" argument. Any way you slice it, it's huge news for Seattle. RCB Brandon Browner will serve the final game of his four-game ban in Week 17 before the shutdown duo will be back on the field together for the first round of the NFL playoffs.

Jaguars C Brandon Linder (knee) is not expected to play in Week 3.

He got hurt on Wednesday. The Jaguars will also be without LT Kelvin Beachum (concussion). Jacksonville's offensive line completely failed to open run-game holes in the first two weeks when their line was at full strength, so we wouldn't expect any improvement from the decimated group Sunday against the Ravens.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Rashad Jennings (thumb) is expected to miss Sunday's Week 3 game against the Redskins.

It's a stunner as Jennings attended practice throughout the week and never looked to be in serious danger of missing Week 3. His thumb injury is obviously more severe than the Giants were letting on. He's week to week. It's unclear how the backfield will shape up in his absence, though Shane Vereen logged 17 touches with Jennings ailing against the Saints in Week 2. Vereen is suddenly a strong RB2 play in PPR leagues.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Dolphins are "treating Kenyan Drake as the starter today" in the absence of Arian Foster (groin).

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Brandon Marshall (knee/foot) is expected to play at Kansas City, but he will be on a snap count.

Schefter also tweeted something about the weather in Kansas City being "bad," although Weather.com has Arrowhead experiencing a 0-15 percent chance of rain with mild winds (8-10 MPH) and temperatures in the 70s during Sunday's game. We're not concerned about the weather at all. The snap-count concern should downgrade Marshall from a WR1 to a WR2/3, but snap counts do have a tendency to be thrown to the wind if a player starts hot. Schefter reported Marshall's knee "felt much better" on Saturday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Alshon Jeffery (knee) is expected to play Sunday night at Dallas.

Fantasy owners got a mild scare when Jeffery was held out of Thursday's practice, but he returned to a limited session Friday and should be loaded into fantasy lineups. Jeffery's outlook is barely hindered by the Bears' "loss" of Jay Cutler, who was playing poorly. Brian Hoyer can do just as well as Cutler did.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Sammy Watkins (foot) will not play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Watkins tweeted something Saturday night suggesting he was planning on playing, but it sounds like he failed to receive medical clearance. Schefter reports the Bills will turn to one-trick speedster Marquise Goodwin opposite Robert Woods. Losing Watkins is a huge downgrade to Tyrod Taylor's outlook in an already-tough matchup. Watkins can only be considered week to week. Battling a recurring foot injury, he'll likely be week to week for the rest of the year.

ESPN New York expects Brandon Marshall (questionable, knee/foot) to play Sunday.

Marshall only got in one limited practice, but the missed reps aren't a huge concern to his Week 3 status. Marshall clearly isn't fully healthy despite playing through his knee injury last week and remains a game-time decision. He's trending toward being active.

A Saturday night tweet from Sammy Watkins (foot, questionable) indicated he plans to play Sunday against Arizona.

The tweet -- linked below -- reads, "Ready to go out there and compete at the highest level." CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported earlier in the day the Bills were "still holding out some hope" Watkins would give it a go against the Cardinals, despite Rex Ryan's Friday statement that chances were "not real good" Watkins would be able to play. If Watkins does play, he'll be a low-floor WR3 option against Patrick Peterson. The Bills' offense matches up poorly with the Cardinals' defense, which can shut down No. 1 receivers and the running game. Buffalo doesn't have much beyond that.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Bills are "still holding out some hope" Sammy Watkins (questionable, foot) can play Sunday.

It's not much of an update. Watkins will go through pre-game warmups, but signs point to him sitting out. Marquise Goodwin will start in base sets if Watkins doesn't play, with Charles Clay the favorite to lead Buffalo in targets.
Sep 24 - 5:21 PM

Willie Snead (questionable, toe) is a game-time decision for Week 3 against Atlanta.

Snead's status is up in the air after missing most of the practice week. He's "hopeful" of playing, but knows it'll come down to how he feels Monday. Even if Snead starts, the late game and possibility of a setback make him a risky WR3 play.

Packers officially ruled out OLB Clay Matthews and S Morgan Burnett for Week 3 against the Lions.

Both Letroy Guion (knee) and Datone Jones (knee) were downgraded to doubtful after being listed as questionable on the initial injury report. With Sam Shields (concussion) also out, the Packers will be without four starters and one important rotational player on defense against the Lions.
