ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ray Rice is not expected to play on Sunday against the Bengals with Baltimore already having clinched the AFC North division title.

Bernard Pierce will carry the load for the Ravens on Sunday, and fantasy owners that play through Week 17 need to adjust accordingly. Pierce should see upwards of 20 touches against Cincinnati and would be a very solid flex play. Anthony Allen is the No. 3 running back in Baltimore. This is the danger of having fantasy seasons that last past Week 16. Joe Flacco, Torrey Smith, and Anquan Boldin could see zero-to-limited action as well.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Carson Wentz will undergo ACL surgery "within a couple days," and Dr. James Andrews anticipates Wentz being sidelined 9-12 months.

Per Mortensen, Andrews hasn't spoken directly with Wentz, but the noted orthopedic specialist said expectations need to be tempered for ACL recoveries, saying repairs need 9-12 months. Wentz is almost certain to start next summer's training camp on active/PUP with a chance he misses the start of the season. The Eagles will roll with Nick Foles the remainder of the 2017 season.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy remained noncommittal on Monday when asked about Aaron Rodgers' (collarbone) Week 15 availability.

McCarthy said he's expecting a final decision to come from team Dr. Pat McKenzie on Tuesday. "In (Rodgers') mind, he's ready to go if you watch him process," said McCarthy. "But this is a medical decision. Dr. McKenzie is in touch with a number of medical experts." Rodgers underwent a CT scan on Monday, and doctors are still evaluating the results. Rodgers has reportedly impressed in practice, but he won't be cleared to play until his collarbone has fully healed.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero's "understanding" is that Chris Hogan (shoulder) will play "a lot" Monday night in Miami.

Pelissero cautioned Hogan may not play his usual, full complement of snaps, but it does sound like he'll be involved in most three-receiver formations along with Brandin Cooks and Danny Amendola. The Pats need Hogan in the red zone; despite so much missed time, Hogan is still tied with Rob Gronkowski for the team lead in targets inside the ten-yard line (7). Gronk, of course, is out tonight.
Dec 11 - 4:47 PM

Christian Hackenberg will take over as the Jets' No. 2 quarterback after Josh McCown's year-ending hand injury.

The Jets clearly know Hackenberg isn't ready to play, or else they'd be starting the 2016 second-round pick. We'd be skeptical at this point if Hackenberg ever became ready to play. Instead, Gang Green will trot out Bryce Petty for Week 15 at New Orleans. Petty did show a strong connection with Robby Anderson last year, although all Jets pass catchers inevitably take a major hit.
Dec 11 - 3:45 PM

Speaking Sunday, Lions coach Jim Caldwell declined to call Ameer Abdullah his starting running back.

Evidently cleared from his neck injury, Abdullah was inactive for Sunday's win over the Bucs. Caldwell was fuzzy on Abdullah's status going forward. It's a deserved benching, though Abdullah is certainly one of the Lions' 46 best players. He should return to a rotation with Theo Riddick, Tion Green and perhaps Zach Zenner. Abdullah's re-draft value is shot.
Dec 11 - 3:29 PM

Eli Manning will remain the Giants' starting quarterback for Week 15.

Davis Webb might get a look at some point, but interim coach Steve Spagnuolo has given no indication of when that might be. There are only three games remaining. Manning will be off the Week 15 streaming radar against the Eagles.
Dec 11 - 3:18 PM

Bears TE Zach Miller (injured reserve) had to undergo eight surgeries on his injured left leg.

According to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson, Miller has "no timetable to resume a normal life," but is confident it will happen. Miller hasn't given up on the idea of returning to football, but the 33-year-old tight end's career is likely over. From a contractual standpoint, Miller will be a 2018 free agent.
Dec 11 - 3:17 PM

Alvin Kamara (concussion) expects to return for Week 15 against the Jets.

Players are always extremely optimistic about injury timelines, but it's a good first step for Kamara ahead of the fantasy semifinals. Coming off the Thursday night game, Kamara will have had three extra days to get cleared. His status will be updated no later than Wednesday, when the Saints issue their first injury report.
Dec 11 - 3:06 PM

Josh McCown (broken left hand) needs surgery, and is officially done for the season.

It's a sad end to what had been an uplifting campaign for the 38-year-old signal caller. Speaking Monday, coach Todd Bowles said the two had yet to talk about McCown's future. McCown, whom many thought would retire last offseason, is headed back to free agency. Although he made it 13 games this season, McCown has always had a tough time staying on the field. Admirable though his 2017 campaign was, the Jets also need to be thinking bigger at quarterback.
Dec 11 - 3:04 PM

Cardinals placed LT Jared Veldheer on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season.

Coach Bruce Arians described Veldheer's ankle as "cracked." The Cardinals' normal right tackle, Veldheer had shifted to the left following D.J. Humphries' season-ending knee injury. Rookie fifth-rounder Will Holden will finish the year on the blindside. Like most Cardinals offensive linemen, Veldheer was mired in a bad season before going down. Due a $500,000 roster bonus in addition to his $6.5 million salary in the final year of his contract next season, it's possible Veldheer isn't brought back. He's slowly fallen out of favor in the desert.
Dec 11 - 2:11 PM

Speaking Monday, Bills coach Sean McDermott said Tyrod Taylor remains the team's starting quarterback when healthy.

McDermott also said Taylor's Week 14 deactivation was "mostly" based on his health, whatever that means. It appears there's a decent chance Taylor is back for Week 15 against the Dolphins. Nathan Peterman is in the concussion protocol. Despite his recent disappointments and health issues, Taylor will be on the streaming radar if he can give it a go.
