Cardinals hired Todd Bowles as defensive coordinator.

The hiring is largely a formality, as the Cardinals were widely expected to bring in Bowles following the release of Ray Horton. Bowles has experience with multiple defensive schemes from his time in Miami (2008-11) and Philadelphia (2012), but this is his first non-interim coordinator job. After last year's mess in Philly, Bowles is coming into a much better situation in Arizona.

Odell Beckham (ankle) reported for the Giants' voluntary minicamp.

This is not a surprise after he reported for voluntary workouts a couple weeks ago, but it is worth noting with the two sides seemingly no closer to a long-term deal. Beckham will participate in walkthroughs, but he will sit out practice as he continues to recover from a broken ankle.

Mike Williams (back) said he feels "100 percent."

The No. 7 overall pick last year, Williams tweaked his back in rookie minicamp and never really recovered, catching a grand total of 11 passes in 10 games. He is healthy now, however, and out to prove he is not a bust. "I’m excited about this year to not only prove to everybody else, but prove to myself that I know who I am and what I can be," Williams said. "I’m looking to redeem myself and show everyone what I’m capable of doing." The sophomore will compete with Tyrell Williams for targets behind Keenan Allen.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Giants have had trade talks about OT Ereck Flowers.

After being replaced in free agency, Flowers has been a no-show for the offseason program to this point. His time with the Giants seems up, and it would not be surprising to see him moved this weekend during the draft. If he sticks around, Flowers is expected to compete for the right tackle job.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was told Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield is "definitely" in the running to be the No. 1 overall pick.

The Browns are keeping their cards close to the vest, so it is tough to tell what they will ultimately do with the first pick. They have been strongly linked with USC QB Sam Darnold, Wyoming QB Josh Allen, and now Mayfield, who Browns consultant Scot McCloughan has banged the drum for since last year. Even if Mayfield is not taken No. 1, he is expected to come off the board in the first five picks, with the Jets strong suitors at No. 3.

On his GM Street podcast, The Ringer's Mike Lombardi suggested Georgia RB Sony Michel could slip in the draft for medical reasons.

"There's a lot of teams telling me there's a medical concern here, so he could slip a little bit," said Lombardi, a longtime NFL executive who most recently worked for the Patriots. "His medical grade is a little iffy." Lombardi admitted he doesn't know exactly what the medical issue is. On tape, Michel is arguably the second-best running back in this class behind only Saquon Barkley.

The girlfriend of Cowboys DT David Irving has retracted domestic violence allegations she made against him.

Frisco (TX) police took the girlfriend's allegations seriously enough to launch an investigation, which will likely continue despite the woman's retraction. "I was very upset and made some allegations that were false," the woman clarified on Monday. "David did not put his hands on me at any time." Irving already has a checkered off-field history and is playing 2018 on a one-year tender.

ESPN New York's Rich Cimini expects the Jets to decide between Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen at the No. 3 overall pick.

Conventional pre-draft wisdom is that the Jets are zeroed in on Mayfield, but Cimini passes along "some support" for Rosen inside the organization. The Jets likely have similar grades on Mayfield, Rosen, and Sam Darnold, explaining why they were comfortable moving up to No. 3 in the draft. They'll simply take whichever quarterback falls. With Darnold expected to be drafted at No. 1 and Saquon Barkley favored to go to the Giants at No. 2, Gang Green's decision will likely come down to Mayfield-versus-Rosen.

Per NFL Network's Jane Slater, the Cowboys envision Boise State LB Leighton Vander Esch as "(Brian) Urlacher 2.0."

It's an aggressive comparison to the first-ballot Hall of Famer, but not an uncommon one. NFL draft insider Tony Pauline passed along rumors Vander Esch was drawing Urlacher comparisons from scouts shortly after the college season. In addition to wide receiver, the Cowboys have a big need at linebacker. They want to keep Sean Lee on the weak side, move Jaylon Smith to the strong side, and find a true three-down "Mike."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Monday that the Bills are unlikely to trade up to No. 2 in the draft, but may make a move to No. 5 or 6.

The Bills, of course, are in the quarterback market and have two first-rounders, two second-round picks, and two third-rounders to use as trade bait. "From what I understand, it's not going to be one of those things where they just sell out and (trade) all the way to No. 2 with the Giants," Rapoport said. "I would be at this moment surprised if that happens." Rapoport considers a deal with the Broncos at No. 5 or Colts at No. 6 much more likely.

Chargers GM Tom Telesco confirmed Melvin Gordon's fifth-year option will be picked up.

Gordon averaged below 4.0 yards per carry in each of his first three years, but the Bolts are comfortable with his progress in the passing game and ability to handle a near-full workload. Gordon is again on track to be a first-round fantasy pick, although the Chargers have openly stated they are interested in adding a running back. Gordon turned 25 earlier this month.

Raiders signed CB Daryl Worley, formerly of the Eagles.

Worley was cut by the Eagles after being arrested for DUI, violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, and disorderly conduct fighting on April 15. A 2016 third-round pick of the Panthers, Worley put some promising moments on tape as a rookie but struggled last season and fell into a rotation for snaps.
