The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says Andrew Quarless will get a chance to battle for the Packers' starting tight end job in 2013.

Beat writer Bob McGinn says Quarless will get a shot whether Jermichael Finley stays or not. Quarless missed the entire 2012 season after tearing his ACL and MCL in December of 2011, but his blocking prowess will keep him around. He hasn't shown much as a receiver in his two seasons, though.

Despite returning to practice Friday, Mark Ingram (toe) was noncommittal when asked about his Week 13 availability.

"We'll see," said Ingram, adding that his Wednesday and Thursday absences from practice were due to "soreness" in the toe. Ingram said the toe "felt good" during Friday's practice. Still, it's conceivable his role is scaled back a bit on Sunday, with Tim Hightower shouldering more of the load. Reports on Ingram's toe will be worth monitoring closely into Sunday morning.
Dec 2 - 2:52 PM

Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 13 against the Redskins.

Mathieu has sat out practice the last two days after opening the week as a limited participant. Coach Bruce Arians is calling Mathieu a "game-time decision," but it would be a major upset if he plays on Sunday. Things are looking up for Jamison Crowder and Vernon Davis with Mathieu absent from the slot this week.
Dec 2 - 2:48 PM

According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advanced Media, Jordan Matthews (ankle, questionable) is a "true 50/50 game-time decision" for Week 13 against the Bengals.

He was downgraded to DNP at Friday's practice after returning to a limited session on Thursday. The Eagles are desperately thin at receiver and will probably wait as long as they can to see if Matthews can give it a go. Fortunately the Eagles play at 1 PM ET on Sunday, so fantasy owners will have time to make changes if he can't get the green light. Nelson Agholor was benched last week but will probably have to suit up for this one with Matthews hobbled.
Dec 2 - 2:20 PM

Mark Ingram (toe) returned to Saints practice Friday.

Ingram sat out Wednesday and Thursday's sessions. His Friday return is a strong indication Ingram will be good to go against the Lions, where he has earned borderline RB1 treatment by averaging over eight yards per carry over his last four games. Tim Hightower will stay heavily involved, and could even out-touch Ingram on Sunday. The Saints have been riding the "hot hand" in games.
Dec 2 - 2:16 PM

Tyrell Williams (shoulder) returned to Chargers practice Friday and said he will play Sunday versus Tampa Bay.

"I should be 100 percent by Sunday," Williams said. The San Diego Union-Tribune confirmed Williams is dealing with a torn labrum in his shoulder, so he isn't going to be 100 percent. "I feel good so far," Williams said. "I feel fine. I feel fine." Added coach Mike McCoy, "He’s played with this before," referring to Williams' labrum tear in college. "He understands what he’s dealing with. He knows what he can and can’t do."
Dec 2 - 1:57 PM

The Dolphins expect LT Branden Albert (wrist) and LG Laremy Tunsil (shoulder) to play in Week 13 at Baltimore.

The Dolphins really could have used these guys last week against the 49ers, when Jay Ajayi struggled to run between the tackles without them. Miami still won the game and should now have both back against a far stouter Baltimore front.
Dec 2 - 1:43 PM

Jordan Reed (shoulder) is out for Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Reed hasn't practiced since separating his shoulder in Week 12 and won't be making the trip to Arizona. Vernon Davis will fill in at tight end. The Cardinals defend tight ends well but Davis should be involved enough to warrant TE1 consideration. Consider Reed week to week.
Dec 2 - 1:36 PM

The Broncos will start rookie Paxton Lynch at quarterback in Week 13.

The talented Jaguars pass defense has been tough on quarterbacks this season, allowing just one opposing signal caller to top 280 yards against them on the year. Lynch struggled against a weaker pass defense at home against Atlanta in Week 5, managing 223 yards on 35 attempts with one touchdown and one pick. He took six sacks behind a sub-par Broncos offensive line. Lynch will be a low-end two-quarterback-league play in Jacksonville.
Dec 2 - 1:25 PM

Jets C Nick Mangold (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice.

It puts him on track to start against the Colts, significantly upgrading Matt Forte's outlook. An interior difference maker, Mangold has been out since Week 7.
Dec 2 - 1:19 PM

Bills LCB Ronald Darby (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Darby would have spent most of Sunday's game on Michael Crabtree, so this is an improvement to Crabtree's matchup. The Bills will either trot out burnable Corey White at left corner, or move sixth-round rookie Kevon Seymour to left corner with Nickell Robey-Coleman reentering at slot corner after being benched earlier in the season. Either way, it's a great spot for Crabtree.
Dec 2 - 1:14 PM

Trevor Siemian (foot) didn't practice Friday and is out for Week 13 against the Jaguars.

While the Broncos have said Siemian could play without practicing, it's clear he has a significant injury and won't be playing against the Jags. It's a shame as Siemian is coming off his best game of the season. He's dealing with a sprained left foot and it's unclear how long the injury will linger. First-round rookie Paxton Lynch will take the reigns at quarterback.
