ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL 32 that Roddy White and the Falcons are planning a "Brett Favre strategy" with free agent Tony Gonzalez, who was leaning toward retirement late in the season.

"Roddy White today revealed that they plan the Brett Favre strategy with the Vikings," said Mort. "Which is, go to California where Tony lives, recruit him, get him on a plane, and drag him back to Atlanta eventually." Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff is adamant that he wants Gonzalez back for his age-37 season. Gonzalez has plenty of gas left in the tank and the Falcons will return as Super Bowl contenders. We wouldn't be surprised if Gonzo is lured back.

Colts RCB Vontae Davis (groin) is listed as doubtful for Week 3.

Davis was able to get in some practice reps this week and looks on track to return in Week 4 barring setbacks. DeShone Kizer is a sneaky Week 3 streamer.

Amari Cooper is no longer listed on the Raiders' Week 3 injury report.

Cooper was limited in Wednesday and Thursday's practices with some sort of knee ailment, which was the case in Weeks 1 and 2, as well. Just as he was in Weeks 1 and 2, Cooper will be all systems go for Week 3 against Washington.
Sep 22 - 3:21 PM

According to ESPN Titans reporter Cameron Wolfe, Derrick Henry is expected to get a "significant workload" regardless of whether or not DeMarco Murray (questionable, hamstring) plays against the Seahawks in Week 3.

Per Wolfe, Murray "appears more likely to be out than to have a full workload" on Sunday, even after getting in a limited practice session on Friday. Wolfe said he'd be comfortable firing up Henry as a fantasy RB2 regardless of Murray's status and said he'd even consider bumping him into the RB1 tier if Murray is inactive. Henry out-touched Murray 14-10 in last week's victory over the Jaguars while compiling a career-high 92 rushing yards. It's not an ideal matchup for Henry but his workload should be strong enough to warrant starting consideration in all formats.

Jordan Howard is no longer on the Bears' Week 3 injury report.

Howard was "limited" in early-week practices, but he returned for a full session on Friday and should start against the Steelers. Howard has devolved into a touchdown-or-bust RB2 with Tarik Cohen out-snapping him in the Bears' backfield.
Sep 22 - 3:00 PM

According to ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reiss, Rob Gronkowski (groin) is "good to go" for Week 3 against the Texans.

"Yeah, I'm good to go," he said. "I'm ready." Gronkowski exited Week 2 with a groin injury and missed practice Wednesday with the same ailment, but there was never much concern about his status. Coming off a 100-yard game against New Orleans, Gronk will be the top play at tight end this week.
Sep 22 - 2:15 PM

Jordan Reed (chest, shoulder, toe) is questionable for Week 3 against the Raiders.

Reed considers himself a "game-time decision" after putting in two limited practices this week. He's dealing with a variety of injuries including a broken toe that's hampered him since training camp. With the Redskins playing on Sunday Night Football this week, Reed owners need to have a backup plan in place. Jared Cook is available in most leagues and would make for a decent streaming option if Reed can't go.
Sep 22 - 2:13 PM

Kelvin Benjamin (knee, ribs) wasn't listed on the Panthers' final injury report for Week 3 against the Saints.

Benjamin was absent for Wednesday's practice but returned to full sessions on Thursday and Friday. He has an enticing matchup against New Orleans this week and should lead the team in targets with Greg Olsen (foot) on the shelf.
Sep 22 - 2:12 PM

DeVante Parker (ankle) returned to Dolphins practice on Friday, getting in a full session.

Parker sat out Thursday's session, but beat reporters all along insisted he was in no danger of missing Week 3. He will be a high-ceiling play against the Jets.
Sep 22 - 2:05 PM

Case Keenum will be the Vikings' Week 3 starter against Tampa Bay.

Keenum struggled mightily in last week's start against Pittsburgh, finishing as the QB31 in fantasy. He was outscored by Browns in-game reliever Kevin Hogan, who played fewer than 20 snaps. Keenum also didn't target any member of the Vikings' pass-catcher corps more than six times. The Bucs' D/ST is in play.
Sep 22 - 2:01 PM

Jay Ajayi (knee) returned to a full practice on Friday, but he "seemed to have a slight hitch when running."

The Miami Herald also reports Ajayi had a black sleeve on his right knee. Ajayi entered the NFL with concerns about his knees, and slipped to the fifth round of the draft when his college tape and athleticism both suggested he should have gone early on day two. We expect Ajayi to play against the Jets, but his health is now a real concern. Damien Williams is his direct backup.
Sep 22 - 1:47 PM

Cam Newton (ankle, shoulder) is questionable for Week 3 against the Saints.

Beat writer Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer called his questionable listing a "technicality." Despite getting in limited practice reps, Newton will be a full-go for Sunday's game against New Orleans. It's a great spot for Newton, though he'll be without his favorite target Greg Olsen (foot).
