A source tells Phillymag.com that Michael Vick "came away very high" on Chip Kelly following a couple meetings.

By the end of last season's debacle, Vick sounded like a man ready to move on from Philadelphia. But after talking to Kelly, he's changing his tune. Perhaps he's even willing to accept a major slash in pay, especially after he realizes his market value will be lukewarm. All Kelly has said is that he "really liked his meeting with Michael," declining to give any hints as to his plans for the quarterback position. Kelly's decision between Vick, Nick Foles and possible outside reinforcements will be one of fantasy's biggest storylines over the next 2-3 months.

Coach Mike McCarthy emphatically shot down any possibility of the Packers signing free agent Colin Kaepernick.

"Is there any idea of bringing in Colin Kaepernick to compete for that backup job?," a reporter asked McCarthy, who fired back, rhetorically asking, "Did you just listen to any question I just answered!? I got three years invested in Brett Hundley, two years invested in Joe Callahan. The quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be." He's not interested; not that we expected them to be.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Redskins K Dustin Hopkins (hip) is week to week.

He's out for Week 7 against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, so the Redskins will be signing a kicker. Hopkins has turned into one of the better fantasy kickers since settling in with the Redskins in 2015.

Coach Dirk Koetter confirmed Jameis Winston has a sprained AC joint in his right (throwing) shoulder and is day to day.

A sprained AC joint sent backup QB Ryan Griffin to I.R. over the summer, but his was more severe and came with a 4-6 week timeline. Koetter says Winston's is far more minor, and he could even play Week 7 against the Bills as long as he's able to drive the ball down the field. Winston is unlikely to throw on Wednesday, so we may not have a good feel for his status until later this week.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy revealed Monday that Aaron Rodgers needs surgery on his broken right collarbone.

It's to his throwing side. McCarthy didn't give an exact timetable, but the fact that Rodgers needs surgery almost certainly knocks him out for the season. Brett Hundley will be the Packers' new starter with Joe Callahan behind him.

Chiefs re-signed RB C.J. Spiller.

Spiller has been off and on Kansas City's roster since the preseason; he's now been signed four different times by the Chiefs this year. Spiller's return is an indication Charcandrick West (concussion) will miss Thursday night's game.

Raiders signed ILB Navorro Bowman, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year, $3 million contract.

He never even made it to Dallas. Still a useful run defender, Bowman will add toughness to a weak Oakland inside linebacker corps. He is a liability in pass coverage, however, and had been losing passing-down snaps before the 49ers released him. The Raiders play on Thursday Night Football this week, but we wouldn't be surprised to see Bowman log significant snaps right away.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Monday he is not satisfied with Julio Jones' usage to this point in the season.

"No," said Quinn when asked if he's satisfied with how often Julio is getting the ball. "No, I'm not." Jones has topped 70 yards in three of his last four games, but he has one red-zone target and zero touchdowns on the year. He whipped Dolphins CB Xavien Howard badly on Sunday, yet was only targeted seven times. Jones draws another favorable matchup this week against the Patriots.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Trevor Siemian's shoulder injury is "minor," and that he will likely play Week 7.

It's not surprising after Siemian played through the issue against the Giants, though he underwent a Monday MRI to confirm the nature of the injury. Siemian's play has been in steady decline since a strong start, and he'll be without Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) against the Chargers. Siemian's streamer relevance has come and gone.

Redskins K Dustin Hopkins is dealing with a hip issue, and the team will work out kickers this week.

Hopkins sounds day to day, but in legitimate danger of missing Week 7. He's been the No. 12 fantasy kicker by average points through the season's first six weeks.
Oct 16 - 3:12 PM

NBC Denver reports Emmanuel Sanders has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, and will miss at least Week 7.

The same is true of fifth-round rookie WR Isaiah McKenzie (ankle). Sanders avoided a fracture, but it sounds like he came away with a high-ankle sprain, which would cost him multiple games. The Broncos have already had their bye, and spend the next three weeks on the road. With Sanders out, the Broncos have zero depth behind Demaryius Thomas. Bennie Fowler is going to be forced into heavy targets.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Vikings plan to activate Teddy Bridgewater (knee) from the PUP list and have him return to practice on Wednesday.

Bridgewater gained practice clearance on Monday, and the 4-2 Vikings aren't going to waste any time as they search for answers under center. Sam Bradford's (knee) status remains murky, and Case Keenum is barely cutting it. Sidelined since last August, Bridgewater is going to need more than three practices to be ready to return, but the Vikings have little to lose by getting the ball rolling as soon as possible.
