The shoulder injury that will prevent USC QB Matt Barkley from throwing at this week's NFL Combine is a Grade 3 separation.

The separation is in Barkley's throwing arm, so it's understandable that he doesn't want to test it out until it's back in peak condition. A source told PFT that Barkley remains confident he'll display a "bigger and a stronger arm than anyone can imagine" at his late-March Pro Day. If Barkley performs well on March 27, his stock could hit an upswing heading into all-important April.

Browns RBs coach Kirby Wilson believes Robert Griffin III will help the team's struggling running game.

Isaiah Crowell has found zero success behind a crumbling offensive line over the two months, but we have seen Griffin's mobility positively impact the running game in the past. It is possible we see a similar situation play out in Cleveland, but the way Griffin helps the running game is by being a threat to keep the ball himself, and it is unlikely the Browns want to put the brittle quarterback in that situation too often. That said, Kevin Hogan had some success running the zone read against Cincinnati the last time these two teams met. Even so, Crowell will remain a low-floor RB3.

Bills coach Rex Ryan said Sammy Watkins (foot) and Robert Woods (knee) will be "ready to roll" Week 14 against the Steelers.

Both were listed as questionable, but there really is not much doubt about either's status. Watkins will be an upside WR3 play as his snap share continues to grow, and Woods will be a low-ceiling WR4 against the Steelers.

Allen Hurns (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Vikings.

Hurns will miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury. Marqise Lee will serve as the No. 2 with Bryan Walters handling the slot duties.

Chris Ivory (hamstring) is questionable for Week 14 against the Vikings.

Ivory got in limited work all week, and coach Gus Bradley said he will be a game-time decision. Even if Ivory is back, T.J. Yeldon should take on the bulk of the work. Denard Robinson (ankle) is out.
Dec 9 - 11:15 AM

Julius Thomas (back) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Vikings.

Thomas has not played since Week 11. Neal Sterling has nine targets in the last two weeks, but he is not a realistic streaming option.

Ryan Mathews (knee) was listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Redskins.

Coach Doug Pederson labeled Mathews "ready to go" on Thursday. Mathews should return to his lead role, but the Eagles have been unable to establish a running game while being blown out the last two weeks. Mathews will be a risky FLEX play in his return.
Dec 9 - 10:55 AM

Jordan Matthews (ankle) was listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Redskins.

He should play after being upgraded to full in Thursday's practice. The Redskins have struggled against slot receivers this season, and Matthews is one of the few reliable options in the passing game. He is a solid WR3.
Dec 9 - 10:53 AM

Robert Woods (knee) practiced again on Friday.

Woods should return this week, although his role is questionable with Sammy Watkins getting closer to full health. Woods will be a low-ceiling WR4 against the Steelers.
Dec 9 - 10:52 AM

Sammy Watkins (foot) participated in Friday's practice.

Watkins will likely be listed as questionable on the final report, but he is fully expected to play. He could also see a larger snap share after increasing his practice reps this week. Watkins is an upside WR3.

NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes wrote "there's no guarantee" Jets OC Chan Gailey will be back next season even if coach Todd Bowles keeps his job.

Gailey, 64, said has no plans to retire or resign, so the only way he is not running the offense next season is if he is fired. The calls for that exact scenario have picked up in the second half of a dreadful offensive season, but Gailey said he is not concerned. "I've been through this enough times," Gailey said. "You can't let it affect who you are, and what you're trying to get done." A proven coordinator whose offense overachieved last season, firing Gailey would be a short-sighted decision.
Dec 9 - 9:50 AM

Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) admitted he is not 100 percent healthy.

We did not need the confirmation after watching him on the field the last couple weeks, but Bennett said he plans to keep playing through the issues. "I never thought about [sitting out]. I just keep going," Bennett said. "I’m like the Energizer Bunny. I just try to find a way." At less than 100 percent and being asked to do less in the passing game, Bennett is a risky option in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
