Eagles released DT Cullen Jenkins.

Jenkins' time in Philadelphia ends just two years into a five-year, "$25 million" deal. The Eagles are still on the hook for $1.5 million guaranteed in Jenkins' contract, but the move saves $4.1 million in cap space. Part of the Eagles' ballyhooed 2011 free agent class, Jenkins ended up tallying 9.5 sacks in 32 games. He registered seven sacks in 11 contests for the Packers during his walk year in 2010. The emergence of Fletcher Cox and the Eagles' abandonment of the "Wide 9" made Jenkins wholly expendable. Still a decent enough pass rusher, 32-year-old Jenkins should draw interest as a role player. We wouldn't rule out a return to Green Bay.

Chargers FS Eric Weddle skipped the first day of voluntary workouts Monday and is in search of a new contract.

Weddle, 30, is owed a $7.5 million salary in the final year of his deal. "I feel highly, highly disrespected," he said. "... There is no reason for me to put out any more effort." The Chargers have been trying to reach out to Philip Rivers about an extension and, to this point, ignored Weddle's requests. Weddle is a three-time Pro Bowler and the Chargers' defensive captain.

Former Cardinals SS Adrian Wilson announced his retirement from football.

Wilson spent training camp time with the Patriots and Bears late in his career, but never played a snap for either team. He was a career Cardinal, and on Monday signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the team. One of the NFL's premier box safeties in his heyday, Wilson earned five Pro Bowl trips and one first-team All-Pro berth. He finished his career with 27 interceptions, 16 forced fumbles, and 25 1/2 sacks. Wilson's bust is unlikely to be enshrined in Canton, but he's very much deserving of a place in the Cardinals' Ring of Honor.

Philip Rivers is in attendance for the start of the Chargers' offseason program.

Chargers GM Tom Telesco will hold a pre-draft press conference later this week, at which point he'll have an opportunity to shoot down Rivers trade rumors. (Or be non-committal.) Entering a contract year, Rivers has no plans to sign a long-term extension with the Chargers, but his future beyond 2015 is entirely up in the air.

Sources tell FOX Sports Antonio Brown is seeking a new contract and is mulling a holdout.

Brown signed a six-year, $43.04 million contract in July of 2012. Since, he's been the most productive wideout in the league, racking up 305 catches for 3,984 yards with 26 touchdowns. But his average annual salary of $8.39 million ranks 13th among receivers, so Brown won't attend offseason workouts and is also considering a holdout from both mandatory minicamps and training camp. Brown is absolutely invaluable to the Steelers, and he'll likely get a raise if he really digs his heels in. It's now a question of how long the saga will drag out.

Eagles agreed to terms with QB Tim Tebow on a one-year contract.

Although the move will generate countless headlines, Tebow is a flier signing as the Eagles begin their offseason program. Sam Bradford is the penciled-in starter with Mark Sanchez backing him up, and G.J. Kinne and Matt Barkley likely vying with Tebow to be third string. The Eagles have tried trading Barkley, but found no takers. Tebow has not played in the NFL since 2012. He spent the 2013 preseason with the Patriots, completing 11-of-30 passes for 145 yards (4.8 YPA), two touchdowns, and two interceptions, taking seven sacks among 37 dropbacks. He did rush 16 times for 91 yards (5.7 YPC). Tebow turns 28 in August.

According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, it would take "at least a first-round pick and more compensation" for the Vikings to consider trading Adrian Peterson.

That's quite a haul for a 30-year-old running back who hasn't played since Week 1 of last season. The "compensation" the Vikings are looking for is a starting cornerback, a position they're expected to address in the draft. The Vikings' front office feels the team is "so much better" with Peterson and they're absolutely right. Peterson is a foundational runner and an ideal complement to rising sophomore quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Jaguars signed C Stefen Wisniewski, formerly of the Raiders, to a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

Recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, the deal is of the "prove it" variety after Wisniewski struggled to find the money he was looking for. Barely 26 and with four years of above-average tape already in hand, Wisniewski is a great bet to rehab his value and come back in a stronger negotiating position next offseason. Wisniewski should slide into center beside LG Zane Beadles and RG Brandon Linder with Luke Joeckel starting at left tackle and newly-signed Jermey Parnell holding down the right side. The Jags suddenly have the makings of a solid offensive line. After flirting with DeMarco Murray in free agency, expect Jacksonville to use an early-round draft pick at running back.

Antonio Gates said his comments indicating he would like a reduced role in 2015 were misunderstood.

"I ain't asking to play less," Gates said. "Every time I'm in a game, I feel like I have the opportunity to make a play. Why would I want to be on the sideline? That defeats the purpose." Gates told Sports Illustrated he played more than the Chargers expected him to in 2014, but he still saw over 200 fewer snaps than in 2013 and was far less involved as a blocker. That usage allowed Gates to stay fresh late in the season and will likely be the blueprint moving forward. Gates' days playing 900 snaps a season are likely over, but he will still be involved enough in the passing game to be a strong fantasy asset.

In an interview with HBO's Bryant Gumble, Russell Wilson claimed the Texas Rangers want him to play baseball.

Wilson added, "I know I can play in the big leagues." Straight out of the John Elway school of negotiation, Wilson's baseball comments are likely just a leverage ploy in his ongoing contract discussions. A .229 hitter in his short stint in the Rockies' minor-league system, Wilson does not have the bright baseball future he might imagine. Wilson will be the quarterback of the Seahawks for the foreseeable future, and the two sides should come to an agreement sometime before the start of the season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Georgia RB Todd Gurley's medically-repaired knee "checked out fine" at the NFL Combine medical rechecks.

Gurley declined to have his knee examined at the Combine, but he passed through the recheck process with no issues. There have been reports Gurley will begin the season on the PUP list, but Rapoport added the "hope" is Gurley will be ready for training camp. He will only be eight months removed from the injury when camps begin, so it may be nothing more than "hope." Either way, Gurley looks to be on the right track in his recovery and is a great bet to come off the board on Day 1.

CSN Philly's Andrew Kulp would be "mildly surprised" if Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks is not traded "before or during the draft."

Kulp is just connecting dots, but he draws a very interesting picture. Even though Kendricks is entering the last year of his rookie deal, the Eagles have yet to approach him about an extension. They did extend DeMeco Ryans and traded for Kiko Alonso. Chip Kelly seems to be on a mission to rid his roster of players acquired by ex-GM Howie Roseman. Kendricks is a budding star, but Kelly has proven willing to part ways with star players at the drop of a hat.
