New GM John Idzik reportedly hasn't spoken to Darrelle Revis' representatives since being hired a month ago.

Per the Daily News, the Jets met with the agents for Santonio Holmes, Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland, Austin Howard, Shonn Greene, and LaRon Landry at the Combine. They did not meet with Revis, "avoiding" his camp altogether. It fuels speculation that owner Woody Johnson and Idzik -- thanks to their cap situation and Revis' ACL tear -- have no intention of making him the highest paid corner in the game. Trade talks could heat up if Revis proves his health over the summer.

Mark Sanchez was benched at Broncos practice on Friday after throwing a bad interception.

In a classic Sanchezian moment, he scrambled to his left, threw off target in the direction of Emmanuel Sanders, and was intercepted by Chris Harris. Sanchez was immediately pulled off the field, and Trevor Siemian closed out practice with the first-team offense. Coach Gary Kubiak insisted nothing should be read into it. "We're trying to go up there every night looking at an equal amount with each kid," said Kubiak. "That'll probably stay consistent here for a couple of weeks."

Raiders released RB Roy Helu.

Signed by Oakland to a two-year, $4.1 million deal last offseason, Helu couldn't stay healthy and required surgery on both of his hips this past February. The Raiders will move forward with DeAndre Washington behind Latavius Murray.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the Bills plan to turn Sammy Wakins (foot surgery) "loose" in a week.

Watkins opened camp on the active/PUP list but that was merely a precaution. The stud wideout claims his foot is 100 percent and he should be ready to roll in about a week or so. Obviously he'll be back in plenty of time for Week 1. Watkins could be a steal at his current ADP, though he won't be a bargain for much longer now that his health is no longer a question mark.

TMZ reports suspended Raiders OLB Aldon Smith has checked into a rehab clinic.

It's his second rehab stint after going in 2013 following two DUI arrests. Smith is currently serving a year-long substance abuse suspension. He also made headlines earlier this week after a Periscope video surfaced that may have showed Smith smoking an unknown substance. It's great that Smith is finally seeking help, but only time will tell if it's enough to resurrect his career.

Titans signed WR Andre Johnson.

Johnson loves the AFC South. After spending his first 12 seasons with the Texans, Johnson joined the Colts last year only to have easily the worst season of his career. Johnson appeared to lose all of his separation skills and found it very difficult to get open in Indianapolis. He eventually lost two-wide snaps to Donte Moncrief and finished with a 41-503-4 line. Johnson is joining a crowded receiving corps in Tennessee, but the Titans could be looking at him more for leadership purposes with youngsters Dorial Green-Beckham, Justin Hunter, and Tajae Sharpe in need of guidance. Johnson and Harry Douglas could be competing for one roster spot.

Lions signed CB Darius Slay to a four-year, $50.2 million extension through 2020.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the deal contains $23 million fully guaranteed at signing. A sort of late bloomer who emerged as a legitimate shutdown corner last season, Slay should get more opportunities to shadow enemy No. 1 receivers this year. He finished 2015 as Pro Football Focus' No. 2-rated cornerback behind only Tyrann Mathieu, shining both in coverage and run support.

ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky expects the team to use a "split" backfield between James Starks and Eddie Lacy to begin the season.

Demovsky's theory is that the Packers will share work between Starks and Lacy in the first half of the year, and "ride Lacy down the stretch." Demovsky said the team did "didn't give Starks $3 million a year to not play." Starks was re-signed to a two-year, $6 million deal in March. He became a major asset as a receiver out of the backfield last year and is a big threat to Lacy's PPR value.

Appearing on Mike Clay's Sirius XM Fantasy Show, ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky predicted Davante Adams will open the season as Green Bay's No. 3 receiver.

Demovsky did acknowledge Adams will "feel the heat" from Jeff Janis, Jared Abbrederis, rookie Trevor Davis, and perhaps eventually injured Ty Montgomery. Per Demovsky, Janis is "still a raw guy," and it "seems he's just not there yet." Adams ranked dead last in the NFL in yards per target last season, dropped far too many balls, and generated nothing after the catch. The Packers are still hoping the light flips on for their 2014 second-round investment.

Jay Cutler said he thinks second-year WR Kevin White is "going to be something special."

"It’s just a matter of him letting those athletic gifts come through and him getting comfortable with the system and the verbiage and the splits and everything else that he’s going to learn, and being at a place where he doesn’t have to think and can just go out and play football," Cutler said. "I think once we hit a fast-forward button and get to that point, he’s going to be something special." After missing all of last season with a leg injury, White participated in his first-ever training camp practice this week. By all accounts, he's looked tremendous dating back to the spring. White is currently being drafted as WR30 in MyFantasyLeague.com drafts.

Steve Smith Sr. (Achilles', PUP) revealed he suffered a "double rupture" of his Achilles' last November.

It was the first double rupture renowned foot doctor Robert Anderson had ever seen. It looked like "raw, shredded chicken," according to Smith's wife, and "89" admits the pain was unbearable. Smith Sr. said he was on Oxycontin for 12 days following surgery, and later admitted he had thoughts of giving up his comeback when rehabbing the injury this summer. At 37, it's going to be incredibly tough -- borderline impossible -- for Smith to regain his previous form.

Dolphins DE Dion Jordan has been reinstated from his year-long suspension.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jordan's reinstatement is conditional. He'll be in counseling and will be reevaluated ahead of the season. This at least gets him in the Dolphins' building and lets him practice and play meaningful preseason snaps after missing all of 2015. Miami is expected to hang onto Jordan and pay him a $1.69 million bonus he's due this week.
