The Cardinals' interest in free agent Reggie Bush is "significant."

As is Detroit's. It has the makings of a potential bidding war, though both teams likely have a price in mind that they will not exceed. For fantasy purposes, we'd much rather see Bush team up with Matthew Stafford and company than whomever the Cardinals are planning to trot out at quarterback.

Broncos GM John Elway said the team is "open to anything" when asked about adding a veteran quarterback.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said he overused Lamar Miller early in the season.

Miller logged 93 carries and 13 receptions in the first four games, putting him well over a 400-touch pace. Miller seemed to fell the effects of that workload as the season wore on, and he dealt with nagging injuries most of the season. O'Brien said the team will be more cognisant of Miller's early-season workload moving forward. That is not great news for his fantasy value, but perhaps a slightly smaller workload will allow Miller to maintain his level of play throughout the season.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said J.J. Watt (back) is "in great shape."

"He's doing very well," O'Brien said. "He'll probably participate, to a certain extent, in OTAs." Watt claimed to be "fully cleared" a month ago, but it sounds like the Texans plan to take it slow during the offseason program. He should be a full go in training camp.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said "we really want" to re-sign impending free agent CB A.J. Bouye.

"A.J. is a very important part of our team," O'Brien said. "He's a guy that has really worked hard to improve his own skill set." Houston did not place the franchise tag on Bouye, but longtime beat writer John McClain gives them an "80 percent" chance to re-sign him. O'Brien's comments seem to back that sentiment up by making it clear there will be a serious push to get him signed in the next week. Bouye is set to break the bank on the open market, however, which undoubtedly complicates the Texans' efforts.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Jets and Bears have "emerged" as suitors for free agent QB Mike Glennon.

It would be quite a disappointing consolation prize, especially for the Bears, who have been closely linked to Jimmy Garoppolo. With the Patriots apparently unwilling to trade Garoppolo, quarterback-needy teams will have to look elsewhere. Glennon, Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler, and Brian Hoyer figure to be the best of the bunch that will be available. Glennon has been connected to the Jets for a few weeks now. He's expected to net $13-15 million per year.

Free agent DE Chris Long announced that he won't be re-signing with the Patriots.

It doesn't sound like there's any bad blood between the two sides whatsoever, but Long "want(s) to get back to being the player I was before" and play a bigger role on his next team. After being an every-down player with the Rams the first eight years of his career, Long took more of a back seat in New England, playing just 15 snaps in the Super Bowl as a situational pass rusher. Turning 32 later this month, Long probably doesn't have more than a couple years left.

According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, teams covet free agent OLB Nick Perry.

Speaking at the Combine on Wednesday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy expressed numerous times how he wants the team to re-sign Perry, but if we're to take La Canfora at his word, it sounds like there's going to be plenty of competition. Perry was looking like an early-career first-round bust, but he had a solid 2015 before exploding with an even bigger 2016 that saw him shatter his previous career-high of four sacks with 11 last year. Perry, 27 in April, was also Pro Football Focus' fourth-ranked 3-4 outside linebacker against the run.

Steelers re-signed OLB James Harrison to a two-year, $3.5 million contract.

The soon-to-be 39-year-old (in May) appears to have found a second wind since re-joining the Steelers in 2014 following a one-year stint with the Bengals. He has 15.5 sacks over the past three seasons and was Pro Football Focus' No. 8-ranked 3-4 outside linebacker out of 59 qualifiers last season. Harrison's tenacity off the edge was key in turning Pittsburgh's defense around.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Bucs aren't expected to aggressively pursue free agent Adrian Peterson.

At this moment, Tampa Bay would prefer to take it slow with suspended Doug Martin after visiting with him last week. Per ESPN Bucs reporter Jenna Laine, the Bucs believe Martin looks refreshed and healthy following rehab and want to see what the next 6-8 months bring. If the Bucs are going to add running back help, it might come via a rookie and re-signing Jacquizz Rodgers.

The News Tribune's Gregg Bell reports the Seahawks are expected to contact free agent LT Russell Okung.

Speaking at the Combine on Wednesday, GM John Schneider said he'd be interested in talking with Okung. The Seahawks need to perform a number of upgrades on their offensive line. We're not sure Okung qualifies, but he'd be a steadying veteran presence and obviously has plenty of familiarity after spending the first six years of his career in Seattle. Okung turns 29 this year.
Mar 1 - 1:24 PM

Seahawks GM John Schneider doesn't expect restricted free agent RCB Deshawn Shead (ACL) to be ready for Week 1.

It's not a surprise after Shead tore his left ACL on January 14. It's also an untimely injury for Shead, who might have drawn interest on the restricted free agent market were he healthy. He'll now be easy for Seattle to retain. Schneider confirmed cornerback has become one of the Seahawks' top priorities.
