Sources tell the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Eagles have pulled out of the Darrelle Revis trade talks.

The Jets are reportedly in talks with the Bucs and another mystery team. That unknown organization is not the Eagles. Although they have a need at corner and plenty of cap space, GM Howie Roseman is clearly wary of breaking the bank in the free-agency market once again after the failed "Dream Team" experiment of 2011. He made a sharp, cost-effective deal with former Rams corner Bradley Fletcher on Tuesday night.

Matt Forte (hamstring) returned to team drills on Tuesday.

He hadn't practiced since late last month. This gives Forte a little less than three weeks to dust off the cobwebs for Week 1. Stuck in a committee with Bilal Powell and playing for one of the league's worst offenses, the 31-year-old's fantasy arrow is pointing in the wrong direction.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said there's still no "timeline" for Andrew Luck's (shoulder) return.

Per Stephen Holder of the Indy Star, the Colts have just two practices next week and four the week after before heading off to Los Angeles for Week 1 against the Rams. That means that even if Luck is activated off PUP in the next week, he'll have just six practices to shake off the rust before the regular season gets underway. Simply put, Luck is running out of time. Mike Chapell of IndySportsCentral "doubts" Luck will be ready for Week 1 while suggesting Week 3 against Cleveland as a more realistic timeframe. None of this comes as good news for fantasy owners invested in Luck, T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief or Jack Doyle.

Cardinals activated ILB Deone Bucannon (ankle) from the active/PUP list.

He's not ready to resume practicing but has been cleared to join the team for walkthroughs. The 2014 first-rounder still aims to be ready for Week 1.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said LeGarrette Blount will be "a big part of our offense."

"The guy's a beast of a runner," the coach added. Despite preseason struggles, reported "weight issues," and rumblings about his roster spot, it looks like the coach plans to enter the season with Blount as his starter and short-yardage back. Perhaps that changes if Wendell Smallwood shows well coming off an injury this week, but Blount remains the best fantasy bet for now.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Tom Savage "is our starter."

"He's had a good camp," O'Brien added. It is not a surprise after Savage looked good in the second preseason game, but Deshaun Watson brings playmaking ability the offense sorely needs. The rookie is going to make starts at some point this season.

ESPN's Mike Reiss does not think the Patriots have a real running back depth chart.

"Any running back could be featured at any given time," Reiss writes, "as it's a deep, talented group." Mike Gillislee was the early fantasy favorite because of his expected role at the goal line, but he has been sidelined the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. Rex Burkhead has been impressive while James White and Dion Lewis will get touches as well.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Cam Newton (shoulder) is on track to play Thursday night against the Jaguars.

Newton has been throwing in team drills this week, and he has apparently looked comfortable enough to send him out for the "dress rehearsal." It would not be surprising if he played fewer snaps than the rest of the starters, however. There was not really any doubt before, but Newton will obviously be ready for Week 1.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr. expects sophomore Tyler Boyd to be the Bengals' second most productive wide receiver.

With No. 9 overall pick John Ross in a limited role to start the season, Dehner thinks Brandon LaFell will get the official No. 2 designation, but he expects Boyd to be more productive. Ross' role is expected to grow as the season goes on, however, and A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert should dominate targets as long as they are healthy. Despite the positive news, Boyd is not a fantasy option in standard-sized leagues.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr. expects No. 9 overall pick John Ross to have a limited role early in the season.

Dehner expects the team to "create packages" for the speedster early while expanding his role as the season goes along. It is not surprising considering Ross sat out the entire offseason program and the first two-plus weeks of training camp. With Ross limited, Dehner expects sophomore Tyler Boyd to be the second most productive receiver behind A.J. Green.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Jordan Matthews (chest) is expected to be ready Week 1.

After getting in limited work on Sunday, Matthews also expressed confidence he will be ready. Considering he was hurt during his first practice with the team, there is reason to worry about how integrated Matthews will be in the offense come Week 1, but Anquan Boldin's retirement means he should have the slot role all to himself. Despite the injury, Matthews is a value pick at his current 10th-round ADP.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said LT Cordy Glenn (foot) is on track for Week 1.

McDermott had expressed some concern about the lingering foot injury, but the Bills never took any real action to bolster the left tackle spot, suggesting they always expected Glenn to be on the field Week 1. Glenn will participate on a limited basis during Tuesday's practice.
