Titans agreed to terms with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, formerly of the Bills, on a two-year contract.

The Titans trade out 37-year-old Matt Hasselbeck for 30-year-old Fitzpatrick. Although obviously more talented than Hasselbeck at this stage of their respective careers, Fitzpatrick isn't a threat to Jake Locker's job. FitzMagic will take most of the first-team reps this spring as Locker recovers from shoulder surgery. Fitzpatrick started all 16 games for the Bills in 2012, completing 60.6 percent of his passes for 3,400 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He also lost six fumbles. The numbers don't look bad, but "FitzMagic" has a backup-caliber arm and is prone to mind-bogglingly poor decision making. He's still an upgrade on Hasselbeck as a potential Locker fill-in.

Zac Stacy is getting most of the first-team reps at training camp, as expected.

There was some offseason coachspeak coming out of St. Louis suggesting Stacy would have to fight for his starting gig at camp. We never bought it. Rookie Tre Mason has almost no experience in pass protection and Benny Cunningham only earned 47 carries in 14 games last year. Stacy has borderline RB1 appeal thanks to projected volume as the centerpiece of a Rams team built to pound the football.

Joique Bell (knee) is cutting and accelerating "with ease" at Lions camp.

Bell rested his sore left knee by sitting out OTAs and minicamp, but it was never a real concern. He's been back to 100 percent since early July, and has not been limited at camp. Bell, who was just handed a three-year contract by the Lions, has a realistic shot at leading the team in carries this season. There's some value in his current fifth-round ADP.

Second-round pick Marqise Lee is lining up "all over the field" at Jaguars camp, and OC Jedd Fisch is "finding ways to feed him the ball."

"Marqise has that speed factor," coach Gus Bradley observed. "He has a chance to break one and is extremely quick. He’s freakish in his skill set in some of the things he does." With Allen Robinson at X receiver and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) on the shelf, Lee is working as the Jags' movement Z wideout and getting reps in the slot. He's got a legitimate shot to lead the team in 2014 targets.

Josh Gordon's appeal will be "all or nothing," either resulting in no ban at all or a full-year suspension.

NFLPA spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed to PFT that when the league's disciplinary penalties were established 20 years ago, "the union expressed the strong view that they needed to be stated and mandatory to ensure that all players be treated the same regardless of position, experience, level of ability, or competitive considerations." If the hearing officer determines the violation was "established," Gordon will be "bound" to the one-year suspension. In other words, Gordon's ban could not be reduced to six, eight, or ten games. If the hearing officer finds there was a violation of the league's drug policy, Gordon's one-year ban will stand. If no violation is established, Gordon will be free to play a 16-game schedule barring a short ban related to his July DUI arrest.

Bills signed RB Fred Jackson to one-year, $2.6 million extension through 2015.

The extension comes as somewhat of a surprise. The NFL's oldest running back at 33, Jackson is now signed for roughly $5.24 million over the next two seasons. The arrival of Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon -- as well as a healthy C.J. Spiller -- will almost certainly prevent Jackson from getting the 252 touches he saw last season, but this contract suggests he will remain a big part of a run-first offense. He is well worth selecting as an RB2/flex at his ninth-round ADP.

Cowboys signed LT Tyron Smith to an eight-year, $98 million extension.

Smith is now set to make $109 million over the next ten years, making him the second highest paid tackle in the league. Still only 23, Smith has already established himself as one of the preeminent tackles, and will anchor a Dallas offensive line that could be the best in the NFL this season. The Cowboys will now turn their attention to locking up Dez Bryant, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Packers signed GM Ted Thompson to a multi-year contract extension.

Thompson, 61, took over as the Packers' general manager in 2005 and has spent 18 years in the organization with a five-year stint in Seattle in between. Since taking over, the Packers have gone 86-57-1 and have won four NFC North titles and one Super Bowl. Thompson is one of the top decision-makers in the league.

NFL suspended Bills LB Nigel Bradham one game for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

It likely arises from his 2013 marijuana arrest, so the Bills knew this was coming. Being counted on for every-down duties in new DC Jim Schwartz's 4-3 defense, Bradham has emerged as the favorite to replace Kiko Alonso in the DeAndre Levy role. When Bradham returns in Week 2, he'll be a candidate to lead the Bills in tackles. Levy had 119 of them last year, and six interceptions.

Sports Illustrated's Robert Klemko reports "at this stage" Darren McFadden has the "starting edge" over Maurice Jones-Drew in the Raiders' backfield.

Klemko, however, does allow that this "should be a committee backfield considering McFadden's injury history." While McFadden may get the "starts," Jones-Drew leading the Raiders in carries is probably the safe bet. McFadden is certainly the more talented runner, but he's never played a full 16-game slate. This is going to be a timeshare. MJD and DMC are currently going in the seventh and eight rounds of fantasy drafts, respectively, as RB3/FLEX options.

Brandon Bostick worked mostly with the Packers' starting offense on Wednesday.

Third-round rookie TE Richard Rodgers drew all the hype during the spring, but that partly had to do with Bostick being sidelined as he recovered from foot surgery. Now healthy, Bostick is getting the bulk of the reps with the ones. By all accounts, he's looked impressive. Bostick capped off a two-minute drill with a fourth-down touchdown to close out practice Wednesday. The best athlete of the bunch at tight end in Green Bay, Bostick needs to be watched closely.

Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence has been diagnosed with a broken foot, and will be sidelined 8-10 weeks.

The injury requires surgery. It's a crippling blow for a defensive line that was already the worst in the league, and a terrible bit of luck for the No. 34 overall pick of May's draft. Lawrence suffered the injury getting "slammed to the turf" by LT Tyron Smith in individual drills. Lawrence was all but assured of starting right end duties. The job will now fall to retread Jeremy Mincey, who has only five sacks over his past 26 games. The Cowboys don't have a pass rush.
