Jets coach Rex Ryan admitted it's "certainly a possibility" Santonio Holmes (foot surgery) is limited in training camp.

"The main thing is, I just hope he's ready for opening day," Ryan said. "That's going to be the goal." Reporter Rich Cimini believes Holmes could be placed on the "LaRon Landry Plan," taking limited reps all throughout camp. Missed time would be missed opportunities for Holmes to get comfortable in new coordinator Marty Mornhinweg's offense. Holmes has never played in a West Coast system before.

NFL Network's James Palmer reports the Patriots and Rob Gronkowski are working on a contract restructure.

Gronk cannot officially do another restructure which includes incentives until May 24th, one year after his last restructure, which also happens to be the date of New England's third OTA workout. The fact that it has yet to happen suggests it will contain incentives like the ones Gronk used to boost his salary to $10.75 million last season. Gronkowski is currently owed $17 million in base salary over the final two years of his deal.

Cowboys signed third-round WR Michael Gallup to a four-year contract.

Dallas now has their entire draft class under contract. Especially following Terrance Williams' arrest over the weekend, the Cowboys are desperate for help at receiver. That should allow Gallup to contribute right out of the gate, and he is talented enough to be a long-term factor in Dallas. Gallup is a great value in the second round of Dynasty rookie drafts.

Ereck Flowers worked as the first-team right tackle during OTAs.

It is a sign of support by the coaching staff after Flowers skipped much of the offseason program and the team reportedly tried to move him during the draft. In addition to Flowers, the Giants had Nate Solder at left tackle, Patrick Omameh at left guard, Brett Jones at center, and John Greco at right guard to start OTAs. Second-round OG Will Hernandez worked with the second-team.

Sports Business Journal's Daniel Kaplan reports the NFL will award the 2023 Super Bowl to Glendale, Arizona and the 2024 Super Bowl to New Orleans.

It will be made official at the owners meetings this week. In the past, cities would bid for the Super Bowl, but the system was changed. Now, the NFL selects a target city, negotiates the terms, and then puts the city up to a vote. Arizona and New Orleans are the first two locations to receive a Super Bowl under the new system.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Aaron Donald will not participate in OTAs.

It is not a surprise considering he held out through training camp last year in search of a new deal, one which he has yet to be awarded despite earning Defensive Player of the Year honors last season. Donald is scheduled to make $6.892 million in the final year of his rookie deal.

The Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich writes the Browns "plan" to use sophomore TE David Njoku as a "full-time starter."

A first-round pick last year, Njoku played just 46.8% of the offensive snaps as a rookie and ceded targets to Seth Devalve. While free-agent addition Darren Fells will have a role as a blocker, Njoku should get the bulk of the passing-game work this season. He faces stiff competition for targets from the likes of Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry, but Njoku has the talent to put up a TE1 season if he gets the looks.

The Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich believes fourth-round WR Antonio Callaway will push Corey Coleman for the No. 3 receiver job.

Clearly out of favor with the new front office, Coleman is reportedly on the trading block, and it would not be surprising if he is dealt this summer. Even if he sticks around, he will face stiff competition from Callaway, a talented receiver who fell in the draft because of off-field concerns. With Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry atop the depth chart, Coleman's Dynasty owners should hope he gets moved.

ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports Julio Jones "hasn't been seen" at the start of OTAs.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Jones was expected to skip last week. The receiver is reportedly looking for a "correction or update" to his current contract. Jones is scheduled to make $34.4 million over the final three years of his deal.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Tom Brady will not participate during OTAs this week.

It is not a surprise as ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported Brady is expected to skip a large chunk of the offseason program to "spend more time with family and body coach Alex Guerrero," but that is unlikely to stop the speculation about his future. Brady also whipped up a storm by answering, "I plead the Fifth," when asked if he feels appreciated by the Patriots earlier this month. Despite the offseason storylines, Brady is fully expected to be ready when it matters.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the NFL is expected to award the 2019 NFL Draft to Nashville.

Nashville has long been the favorite, and the owners are expected to award them the event during this week's meetings. Chicago hosted the draft in 2015 and 16, it was in Philadelphia in 2017, and Dallas hosted the even this year.
May 21 - 8:33 AM

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Dalvin Cook (ACL) is expected to participate during OTAs.

"We're excited about where he's at," Zimmer said of Cook's recovery. The coach added Cook will be limited until training camp, but the fact he is participating at all is a great sign. With his health seemingly not in question, Cook heads into draft season as a back-end RB1.
