Cowboys agreed to terms with LB Justin Durant, formerly of the Lions, on a two-year contract.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal won't become official until the Cowboys can clear some more cap space. Recent estimates have had Big D barely $100,000 below the cap. Coming off a 103-tackle campaign for the Lions, Durant will book-end Bruce Carter on the outside, leaving Sean Lee to man the middle. Durant graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 18 4-3 outside linebacker last season. It's a cost-efficient, if low-impact signing for the cap-strapped Cowboys.

Carson Wentz (knee) threw during individual drills at OTAs.

The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports Terrelle Pryor suffered an ankle injury this offseason.

This explains why he was absent during OTAs on Tuesday. Pryor ended last season on injured reserve with an ankle issue which required surgery in November. Mehta did not say if this injury is to the same ankle, but it is a massive setback either way. Playing on a one-year deal, Pryor needs to be healthy and productive this season to cash in next spring.

Christian Hackenberg worked as the No. 4 quarterback during OTAs.

It was a distant fourth, as well. Hackenberg did not see many reps during individual drills behind Josh McCown, Teddy Bridgewater, and Sam Darnold, and he was blanked completely during the early part of team drills. Jets GM Mike Maccagnan seems intent on keeping the Hackenberg dream alive, but his days on the roster are numbered.

New Panthers OC Norv Turner believes he can help Cam Newton become more efficient.

Newton is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but it is not because of his accuracy. Cam has completely 60 percent or more of his passes in just two seasons, and he has not managed the feat since 2013. Despite that, his new coordinator has high expectations. "I see Cam as a guy that can be in the mid- to high-60s in the completion percentage," Turner said. "We're working hard in terms of scheming and getting the ball out quick. ... We want a good mix of dropback, play-action." High-60s sounds like a pipe dream, but it would not be surprising to see Newton become a more efficient passer in a better system with better weapons around him.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur said Odell Beckham (ankle) wants to do more than they are letting him during OTAs.

"He’s champing at the bit wanting to get out and do more than we’re allowing him to do at this point," Shurmur said. "But I think we’re just trying to make sure that everything is healed to the fullest before we put him out there." It is a sensible approach considering how important Beckham is to New York's offense. The comments also suggest Beckham is close to full health. He should be a full-go by training camp.

Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (ankle) is participating in OTAs.

It is something of a surprise after coach Ron Rivera sounded pessimistic about Samuel's health at the end of March. While it is not clear if he will participate in team drills, he appeared to be moving well as he ran routes in individual work. Coming off essentially a lost rookie season, a full offseason would be huge for Samuel.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Ryan Tannehill (knee) will "do everything" during OTAs.

The Miami Herald had a similar report last week. Near full health if not already there, Tannehill should have a full offseason to get ready for his first game action since December of 2016.

Rams fifth-round OLB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo recently underwent foot surgery and will be sidelined until training camp.

Okoronkwo tumbled to the fifth round where the Rams traded up with the Broncos to take him at No. 160 overall. At 6'2/253, Okoronkwo won Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Big 12 last season and is a plus athlete at his position. He enters an EDGE spot in L.A. where the Rams are in an overhaul, replacing 2017 starters Robert Quinn and Connor Barwin. Okoronkwo missing important practice time this summer lessens his chances of making an early impact.

Franchise player Le'Veon Bell will not report for the start of Steelers' OTAs on Tuesday.

OTAs are voluntary, so Bell has every right not to attend. This also comes as no surprise whatsoever with Bell remaining without a long-term deal and franchise-tagged for the second consecutive year. Bell skipped all of OTAs, minicamp, and training camp last year while on the tag before reporting in September.

Free agent OG Richie Incognito informed the Bills he will not retire before they granted his release on Monday.

Some teams in the Bills' position wouldn't budge after feeling a player turned his back on them, but Buffalo quickly allowed Incognito to move on and begin engaging other teams. Although he's a short-term fix going on age 35, Incognito is plenty capable of helping a team at guard. The Ravens with ex-Bills OC Greg Roman make sense. The Bengals could also use another upgrade inside.

Bengals signed No. 21 overall pick C Billy Price to a four-year contract.

Price moved from guard to center as a senior at Ohio State and dominated there, winning with strength and explosiveness off the snap. An intense competitor with four years of high-level performance on film, Price is about as "pro ready" with a "high floor" as college offensive linemen get. Price is currently recovering from a torn pec suffered at the Combine but is expected to be ready for Week 1.
