The Sideline View's Adam Caplan reports there are two to three teams showing some interest in restricted free agent Danario Alexander.

Caplan doesn't specify which teams, but adds that clubs don't want to waste their time if they think San Diego will match any offer sheet. The Chargers tendered Alexander at the original-pick level, leaving themselves vulnerable to being pick-pocketed since DX wasn't drafted. Teams have until April 19 to make offers to restricted free agents. The biggest-name restricted free agent is Victor Cruz, but the Giants tendered him at the first-round level.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (foot) expects to be ready for Week 1.

This is good news for their workhorse back. Foot and ankle injuries clearly hindered Fournette's rushing ability in his last season at LSU making this injury something to keep an eye on.

Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (ankle) says he expects to be ready for Week 1.

This is a great sign for Lee, who was previously thought to have a high-ankle sprain. He is already out of a walking boot and no longer needs crutches. Lee was by far the most efficient player for the Jaguars on short passes last season and an important part of their offense.

ESPN Lions reporter Michael Rothstein believes Ameer Abdullah will top 1,000 yards rushing this season if he stays healthy.

The if he stays healthy sounds like a big qualifier after last season, but Abdullah played all 16 games as a rookie despite suffering a shoulder injury late in the year and did not have injury issues in college. Rothstein admits touchdowns could be a concern and Theo Riddick will steal work in the passing game, but 1,000 yards would still be an accomplishment after just 12 backs managed the feat last season. Abdullah does not have the upside of people like Doug Martin or Mark Ingram, but he is still a fine pick in the fifth round.

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed Friday night that LT George Fant (ACL) is done for the season.

Carroll called it a "significant" ACL injury, and suggested there may have been more ligament damage. The injury indeed looked brutal on the field. The Seahawks turned to sometimes guard Rees Odhiambo as their first-team left tackle in Fant's absence. They could also look at LG Luke Joeckel as a left guard alternative, or give un-retired free agent Branden Albert a phone call.

Seahawks seventh-round RB Chris Carson turned six carries into 27 yards and one catch into 17 yards in Friday night's preseason game.

While Eddie Lacy plodded his way to 23 yards on seven touches, Carson exploded for 44 yards on his seven opportunities and looked clearly to be the more determined downhill back. Carson essentially earned an RBBC with Lacy, playing 9-of-22 snaps with the Russell Wilson first-team offense compared to Lacy's 13 first-team plays. Carson has played himself onto the radar in re-draft leagues.

Kasen Williams caught 2-of-4 targets for 28 yards and one touchdown in the Seahawks' second preseason game.

Building on his 4-119 line from last week, Williams ran exclusively with the Russell Wilson group, playing 11 of the first 15 snaps while making a 27-yard one-handed catch in Xavier Rhodes' coverage before then nabbing a one-yard touchdown on a fade. Williams could (should) have had another touchdown but dropped a 45-yarder that hit him in the belly. Williams is passing Jermaine Kearse for No. 4 receiver duties behind Doug Baldwin, Paul Richardson, and Tyler Lockett, and both Richardson and Lockett have big durability concerns.

Eddie Lacy rushed six times for 20 yards and caught his lone target for three yards in the Seahawks' second preseason game.

He has 30 yards on 10 preseason carries with the lone reception. Lacy started tonight only because Thomas Rawls is battling a mild ankle sprain, and even so merely shared first-team duties with rookie Chris Carson, who played 9-of-22 first-team snaps to Lacy's 13. Lacy has looked neither powerful nor explosive this preseason. We would advise avoiding him before the late rounds of drafts.

Dalvin Cook rushed seven times for 40 yards in Friday's second preseason game against the Seahawks.

He also caught 1-of-3 targets for 10 yards. In a little over one half of football this preseason, Cook has touched the ball 17 times. With Jerick McKinnon back for the exhibition, it was notable that Cook was the starter and played every snap with the ones before McKinnon came on late in the first half. The starting job is Cook's to lose, and he's done anything but that this summer. Cook's ADP is skyrocketing by the hour. He's now going in the third round of drafts.
Aug 18 - 11:51 PM

Russell Wilson completed 13-of-18 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' second preseason game.

And he did almost all of it against the Vikings' first-team defense. The unfortunate news was Wilson losing LT George Fant to a potentially serious leg injury. Wilson was as sharp as ever, hooking up with Kasen Williams and Doug Baldwin for big gains and showing complete command of the offense as both a rusher and passer. Wilson has fantasy overall QB1 upside in his sixth NFL season.

Seahawks LT George Fant exited Friday night's second preseason game with a knee injury.

Fant got rolled up from the side and behind via friendly fire from teammate C Justin Britt. Fant immediately grabbed his leg and had to be carted off the field in an air cast. He's certainly done for the season. Fant was drawing big praise for his development this offseason. It's a big loss to an already questionable line. 2016 third-rounder Rees Odhiambo replaced Fant.

Bills coach Sean McDermott confirmed he expects Tyrod Taylor to be the Week 1 starter.

"I have all the confidence in the world in Tyrod," said McDermott. It's a turnaround from the Bills after they were noncommittal on Taylor following Thursday's preseason game. It's possible Nathan Peterman could get some first-team reps this week, but Taylor remains the favorite to open the year as the starter.
