According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Alabama RT D.J. Fluker is "one of true rising players in draft."

Fluker is universally considered a first-round talent, but questions about his athleticism have some projecting him as a guard. Checking in at 6-foot-5, Fluker has shed 16 pounds from his Senior Bowl weight of 355. According to NBC Sports' Ross Tucker, at least one team picking in the top-ten "loves" Fluker.

Lamar Miller (ankle) is absent from the Week 3 injury report.

Miller tweaked his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss, but it wasn't serious enough to limit his reps this week. Taking over as the No. 1 back in the absence of Knowshon Moreno (elbow), Miller has RB2 appeal in the Dolphins' newly run-heavy offense.

Bengals OC Hue Jackson says he "doesn't have a number" in terms of how many carries he'll distribute to Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard on a game-by-game basis.

This Bengals' backfield is trending toward a full-blown RBBC. "It’s how the game is flowing and how the guys are flowing in the game," said Jackson, who admitted he was mistaken to give Hill only four carries in Week 1. Hill handled 17 touches in Week 2, totaling 96 yards and a touchdown. "Last week I think I improved in that area, making sure (Hill) was out there and he made some plays," said Jackson. "... That’s why we drafted him ... whatever their name is, whatever it is they want to (call) themselves after, they’re just a tandem." Jackson did make it clear Bernard "is the starting tailback on this football team ... until he proves that he can’t or the other guy proves that he’s better."

According to ESPN New York, Eric Decker (hamstring) remains "on pace" to play in Monday night's game against the Bears despite missing Wednesday's practice.

Coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday he's "confident" Decker "will be ready ... but I should say I guess I’m hopeful that (Decker) will play." Decker may get in very little practice time ahead of Monday night's game, but the extra day to prepare should help. Although Decker has been a WR2 to this point, he should be treated more along the lines of a WR3 option this week due to the injury.

The Akron Beacon Journal suggests Jordan Cameron (shoulder) "probably has a good shot at playing" in Week 3 against Baltimore.

Cameron returned to a limited practice Wednesday after sitting out all of last week. "[My shoulder] feels good," Cameron said after the practice. "It feels better. ... I’m going to wake up in the morning, and we’ll take it from there." Cameron aggravated an August shoulder injury on a 47-yard reception in the Browns' opener. Cameron finished 2013 with 80 catches for 917 yards and seven touchdowns, going to the Pro Bowl as a 25-year-old first-year starter. When healthy, he is an elite fantasy tight end.

Cardinals deactivated RB Jonathan Dwyer for Week 3.

Dwyer was arrested on charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault for two incidents in July. Stepfan Taylor will take over as the Cardinals' No. 2 back.
Sep 17 - 7:49 PM

Vernon Davis (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Davis remains on crutches, and appears to be highly questionable for Week 3 against the Cardinals. He didn't suffer any structural damage last Sunday night, but Davis is dealing with a deep bruise. Fantasy owners need to be making other arrangements. Jared Cook, Travis Kelce, and Niles Paul are all options.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports Austin Davis got the "lion's share" of the Rams' first-team quarterback reps at Wednesday's practice.

Shaun Hill (thigh) participated in individual drills and remains day-to-day. Case Keenum received a couple of reps with the starters in 11-on-11 drills. But Austin Davis is the clear favorite to start against the Cowboys after leading the Rams to a 19-17 win over the Bucs last Sunday. The Rams will pound the ball on the ground and let Davis "manage" the game with short passes. He's a low-end QB2/3.

ESPN Falcons reporter Vaughn McClure says there's "no doubt" Roddy White (hamstring, questionable) will play Thursday night against the Bucs.

McClure has been on top of the Roddy White news all week. Although the 32-year-old hasn't practiced at all, there are no concerns about his availability for Week 3. White is a rock-solid WR2 even against Bucs LCB Alterraun Verner.
Sep 17 - 3:59 PM

Cecil Shorts (hamstring) returned to a limited practice Wednesday.

That's the good news for the Jaguars. The bad news is that Marqise Lee was forced to leave practice early after re-tweaking his hamstring injury from last week. Both should be considered highly questionable for Week 3 against the Colts. UDFA Allen Hurns (ankle) missed practice altogether on Wednesday. If none of the three can play, Allen Robinson and Mike Brown would be the starters.
Sep 17 - 3:50 PM

Doug Martin (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Falcons.

Despite the questionable tag, Martin practiced all week and is expected to play. He ran with the first-team offense and appears on track to start. Martin will be an RB2/3 against the Falcons' bottom-ten run defense.

Panthers placed RE Greg Hardy on the NFL's exempt/commissioner's permission list.

As expected. After the Vikings used the exempt list to banish Adrian Peterson while his child-abuse case is resolved, it gave the Panthers an avenue to use on Hardy. The 26-year-old Pro Bowl pass rusher was convicted of domestic assault in July. The Panthers are a little late to the party after Hardy was allowed to play Week 1, but the NFL also has done absolutely nothing to punish Hardy. He'll now stay away from the team for an undetermined amount of time while collecting his $13.116 million guaranteed salary. The Panthers will roll with a combination of Kony Ealy and Mario Addison opposite LE Charles Johnson. No. 3 DE Frank Alexander has two more games left on his four-game suspension.
