The Jets are still expected to release Tim Tebow following this month's draft.

The Jets are still going through the motions of trying to trade everyone's favorite punt protector. As a player under contract for the next two seasons, Tebow will report to voluntary offseason workouts on Monday. But he's not a true part of the quarterback derby headed by Mark Sanchez and David Garrard. Once the Jets fail to trade Tebow at the draft, he'll finally be granted his freedom.

Broncos claimed RB Justin Forsett off waivers from the Lions.

The move became necessary insurance when Kapri Bibbs suffered a high ankle sprain, but it's not out of the question that Forsett assumes a legitimate role in Denver's backfield in the near future. Devontae Booker has struggled mightily in five straight games (2.80 YPC), while Forsett has full knowledge of Kubiak's offense after playing for him in Baltimore and enjoying the best year of his career with Kubiak coordinating the Ravens' 2014 offense.

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall (hamstring) is expected to miss Week 14 against the Titans.

It's not an ideal week for Marshall to miss with DeMarco Murray on the docket. The Broncos will turn to Corey Nelson next to Todd Davis at inside linebacker.
Dec 5 - 3:47 PM

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports suspended Raiders OLB Aldon Smith hopes to meet with the commissioner to discuss his possible reinstatement.

Per Rapsheet, Smith is "setting up" a meeting to meet with Roger Goodell or another "high-ranking official." Smith was supposed to have already learned his status, but the league is apparently hedging. Smith would be returning from an indefinite ban for multiple arrests/violations of the league's substance-abuse policy. He'd be a major weapon for the Raiders down the stretch.
Dec 5 - 3:27 PM

Speaking Monday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Trevor Siemian (foot) is doing a "lot better."

NBC Denver has reported there's "hope" Siemian returns against the Titans. He has shed his walking boot. The Broncos desperately need Siemian back. Paxton Lynch isn't ready for prime time, to put it mildly. Siemian's status will be updated no later than Wednesday, when the Broncos return to practice.
Dec 5 - 3:15 PM

Redskins activated LT Trent Williams from the reserve/suspended list.

Ty Nsekhe held his own during Williams' absence, but coach Jay Gruden confirmed the obvious that Williams will immediately slide back in on the blindside. Williams is one of the best players in the league.
Dec 5 - 3:06 PM

Falcons LT Jake Matthews has been diagnosed with a sprained left knee, but the team is "hopeful" he can practice on Thursday.

Matthews didn't return after going down in the first half on Sunday. Thursday will be a test to see how far along he is, with how he feels on Friday likely determining his Week 14 status. Injuries are really starting to take a toll on the Falcons, who will be in both divisional and wild card dogfights down the stretch. Tom Compton is the next man up.
Dec 5 - 2:45 PM

Julio Jones is dealing with a case of turf toe, but is expected to be fine.

Speaking Monday, coach Dan Quinn stressed the issue wasn't believed to be serious, but allowed it will be "monitored." Turf toe can be extremely tricky. Jones barely played down the stretch of Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, and was in clear discomfort on the sideline. It's definitely not a settled issue. Jones' practice reps figure to be extremely limited this week, though as of now, we can take Quinn at his word that Jones will probably suit up for Week 14.
Dec 5 - 2:40 PM

The Cardinals will try to limit John Brown to 20 weekly snaps as they work to figure out his sickle-cell issues.

Brown played 21-of-76 snaps against the Redskins, failing to corral his lone target. The Cardinals have had a difficult time getting to the bottom of Brown's problems with his sickle-cell trait. They weren't known to be an issue his first two years in the league. Brown won't be fantasy viable down the stretch.
Dec 5 - 2:30 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs are "optimistic" Jeremy Maclin (groin) will return from his four-game absence on Thursday Night Football.

Speaking Monday, coach Andy Reid claimed ignorance on Maclin's status, but this is a pretty strong indication he will finally return. Travis Kelce has emerged as the Chiefs' No. 1 receiver in Maclin's absence, and been a much more dangerous weapon than Maclin was before going down. Maclin's return could still curb Kelce's upside, but we wouldn't consider Maclin more than a WR4 against the Raiders.
Dec 5 - 2:21 PM

LSU RB Leonard Fournette will forego his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

Fournette is considered an elite running back prospect, one who could go in the first five picks. He had injury issues in 2016, and racked up a ton of mileage in the rugged SEC, but is a truly rare size/speed/power prospect.
Dec 5 - 2:19 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports there's a "real chance" Robert Griffin III (shoulder, injured reserve) is the Browns' Week 14 starter.

Griffin has yet to even be formally activated off injured reserve, but most signs are pointing toward him starting against the Bengals. The lost-year Browns might as well take a four-game look — if Griffin can stay healthy that long — headed into the offseason. We'd consider the odds heavily stacked against Griffin being the team's 2017 quarterback.
