FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, NFL Network's Mike Mayock, Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer, and CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora are now all predicting the Chiefs will draft Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher at No. 1 overall.

We can't leave out CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler, who's had Fisher atop his mock drafts since January. Meanwhile, USA Today's Lindsay Jones reported Wednesday evening that the Chiefs are still fielding trade calls regarding the No. 1 pick. The trade-down option is likely a fallback plan in case GM John Dorsey can't unload Branden Albert. We believe Dorsey will trade Albert to the Dolphins and either take Fisher or Luke Joeckel first overall.

Will Fuller caught 3-of-4 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in Houston's third preseason game.

Assuming he sits out Thursday's preseason finale, Fuller finishes the summer with eight catches for 144 yards (18.0 YPC) and two touchdowns. His fourth target today was a bad drop on what would have been a long gainer, but it was an otherwise mighty impressive performance from the No. 21 overall pick. Fuller was running right by Cardinals DBs (Patrick Peterson was held out), though he did get away with a bit of a push-off on his touchdown. Fuller's hands are a concern, but his role (starting) and skills (now evident on NFL film) are not. He's a WR5 who could give you some big weeks during byes.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported Colin Kaepernick faces an "uphill battle" to make the 49ers' roster.

Glazer said he would be "shocked" if Kaepernick lasted the entire season on the 49ers' 53, and suggested Kap "may not even be on (the roster) in the next two weeks." All of Kaepernick's $11.9 million salary is guaranteed, but he has created a toxic situation by refusing to stand for pre-game National Anthems, which is Kaepernick's right but is frowned upon to put it mildly by most observers.

Brock Osweiler completed 11-of-13 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s regular season dress rehearsal.

Osweiler would have been 12-for-13 if not for an embarrassing drop by Will Fuller. On Houston's opening drive, Osweiler took advantage of excellent field position with back-to-back strikes to rookie Braxton Miller, setting up Lamar Miller's goal-line TD. Later, Osweiler connected on a 35-yard dart to Fuller down the right sideline and found him again for a 26-yard touchdown before passing the baton to Tom Savage. Osweiler did lose 15 yards on a pair of sacks but it was still an impressive showing in his final regular season tune-up. Osweiler isn’t a re-draft consideration but certainly has the weapons to be a streaming option in plus matchups.

Eagles released WR Rueben Randle.

It's surprising in that Randle is a veteran in a weak wideout corps, but entirely unsurprising in light of Randle's summer and career arc. Randle caught only five passes for a pathetic 26 yards in three preseason games, and drew universal bafflement at his effort level. Randle seemed to take making the 53-man roster for granted. Randle is only 25 years old, and started all 16 games for the Giants last season, but both his film and buzz are that of a player who will have a hard time sticking on someone's roster in 2016.

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon will be sidelined four weeks with a torn MCL, but does not need surgery.

It's good and bad news. The bad being it's going to be a while before Dixon pushes for a role on offense, the good that he isn't out longer and has avoided surgery. Dixon had a strong camp and preseason. He isn't worth stashing in 12-team leagues, but should begin the year on watch lists. Baltimore has a volatile backfield where the pecking order could change multiple times in September. The four-week timetable has Dixon returning somewhere around Week 4 or 5.

Carson Palmer completed 5-of-9 passes for 64 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions in Arizona's third preseason game.

Both of Palmer's INTs were tipped passes. The second was housed for a touchdown by LB John Simon. Palmer took a cheap shot from DT Devon Still in the process, and appeared to chip his tooth. The Cards then held him out for the rest of the game. Palmer finishes the summer with zero touchdowns and three picks. The last time he appeared in a game that counted, of course, was the NFC Championship Game, where he gave the ball to the other team six times. Palmer remains a QB1 with elite weapons, but durability and turnovers are mounting question marks. Including the preseason, he has 13 turnovers in his past seven appearances.

Colin Kaepernick told reporters Sunday that he will "continue to sit" during pre-game National Anthems.

This assumes Kaepernick is on an NFL roster this season, and attending games at all. While it is certainly within his rights to sit when the National Anthem is played, it has caused a P.R. nightmare in San Francisco and will remain one for as long as Kaepernick is showing up on Sundays. Other teams likely now view him as toxic. It's no secret Kaepernick is disliked by teammates, even prior to the National Anthem thing. Combined with his poor play, Kaepernick's protestation could become a career-threatening decision.

Jets placed WR Devin Smith on the reserve/PUP list.

This clears a roster spot as the Jets begin their first round of cuts. The 37th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Smith tore his ACL in December last year and was always expected to go on reserve/PUP, costing him the first six games. Despite his high draft status, Smith is a fringe hold in Dynasty leagues.

Eagles released WR Chris Givens.

The Philadelphia Inquirer predicted this was coming last week. A 2012 fourth-round pick, Givens turned in a promising rookie campaign with the Rams (42-698-3), but his career has been in a tailspin ever since. It's an especially ominous sign for Givens that he couldn't crack one of the NFL's worst receiver corps.

The Dolphins are expected to start second-round CB Xavien Howard in Week 1 against the Seahawks.

Howard missed over three weeks of training camp following an offseason knee scope and hasn't played at all in preseason. He is expected to play in the exhibition finale. While Howard is supremely raw with next to no time in DC Vance Joseph's system, he can't possibly be worse than overmatched Tony Lippett. Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin & Co. should still be licking their chops.

According to owner Jim Irsay, Colts LG Jack Mewhort's knee injury will only sideline him 2-4 weeks.

NFL Network reported late Saturday that Mewhort was "believed" to have torn his ACL. The Colts are catching a huge break here, as Mewhort is their best offensive lineman and the anchor between struggling LT Anthony Castonzo and rookie C Ryan Kelly. It appears Mewhort escaped with a knee sprain. The 2-4 week timetable still makes Mewhort doubtful for Week 1 against Detroit.
