Lions selected South Carolina DE Devin Taylor with the No. 132 overall pick.

Taylor (6-foot-7, 266) logged 18.5 sacks, 35 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles during his four-year Gamecocks career, bookending Jadeveon Clowney in his final two seasons. Taylor showed freakish straight-line athleticism with a 4.72 forty and 1.59 ten-yard split at the Combine, but he is painfully tight in the hips and a better athlete than football player. Taylor may need to adjust his game in the pros, focusing on power rushing. The Gamecock's length and straight-line speed should come in handy in the Lions' wide alignments.

ESPN Eagles reporter Tim McManus said fifth-round RB Wendell Smallwood should see "plenty of opportunities" this season.

McManus cautions Ryan Mathews should still be the lead back when healthy, but he correctly points out Mathews has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career. "There should be plenty of opportunities for Smallwood over the course of the season," McManus said, "and those opportunities will likely grow if he continues to produce like he did against the Steelers." Smallwood had 79 yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh. He is a great speculative add in deeper leagues.

ESPN Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson said Jordan Howard will be "more of a committee guy" once Jeremy Langford (ankle) returns.

Langford will be out at least another month, so this is not an immediate concern to Howard's fantasy value. More importantly, Langford was terrible before going down, so Howard could certainly win the starting job outright with good performances the next several weeks. He should start on the right foot against a banged up Lions defense this week.

Sam Bradford said Kyle Rudolph is "one of those guys as a quarterback that you can just trust."

"He’s just one of those guys who is kind of easy to develop chemistry with," Bradford said. "You know that if you put the ball in his area, he’s going to go up and he’s going to make a play and he’s going to get it." The veracity of that statement is certainly up for debate, but it is clear Bradford trusts his big tight end. Rudolph has 10 catches for 101 yards and two scores in two games with Bradford this season, and he is a good bet to keep the touchdown streak alive Monday night against the Giants.

WEEI's Kirk Minihane reports Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder, questionable) will start Sunday against the Bills.

Garoppolo was always going to start over Jacoby Brissett if healthy, so his shoulder was the only question. After getting in limited practices all week, it seems Garoppolo is ready to get back to work. Tom Brady will return from suspension next week.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo said Rashad Jennings (thumb) could be a "game-day" decision.

Jennings was limited again on Friday. The back said he hoped to have a better idea of his Week 4 status following Friday's practice, but there have not been any reports on what that idea is. It still is unlikely Jennings plays Monday night, but the uncertainty makes it tough to trust him or Orleans Darkwa in a tough matchup.

Bills placed WR Sammy Watkins (foot) on injured reserve.

Watkins was already ruled out for Week 4. His foot injury wasn't showing any signs of improving, though the reports were he was only dealing with pain management. Watkins will miss at least the next eight weeks on I.R, making Week 12 his earliest possible return. It's a huge blow to an offense that doesn't have any playmakers outside of LeSean McCoy. Buffalo signed Justin Hunter to add depth behind Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin.
Sep 30 - 5:30 PM

Michael Floyd (concussion) has been removed from the Cardinals' injury report.

Floyd was cleared after practicing fully the last two days. He'll be a low-end WR3 against a Rams secondary that can take away the outside. Floyd has caught just nine of his 24 targets this season.
Sep 30 - 5:16 PM

Tavon Austin (shoulder) is questionable for Week 4 against the Cardinals.

Austin returned to full practice on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. He'll be a boom-or-bust WR4 Sunday at Arizona.
Sep 30 - 4:40 PM

Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Most signs point toward Gronkowski playing against the Bills, although his playing time is uncertain. He will be a better fantasy bet if Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) can start, and a worse bet if Jacoby Brissett is under center.
Sep 30 - 4:17 PM

Jimmy Graham (knee, back) is questionable for Week 4 against the Jets after practicing fully on Friday.

Graham sat out Thursday's practice after being limited on Wednesday. The fact that Graham practiced fully in his Friday return suggests he is on track to start against the Jets, and Thursday's absence was a routine day off.
Sep 30 - 4:13 PM

Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) and Jacoby Brissett (thumb) are both listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Bills.

Garoppolo's status is entirely uncertain. Brissett is fully expected to be available for Sunday's game, but he won't start if Garoppolo is healthy enough to play. We only have to deal with this for one last week before Tom Brady's suspension ends. We'll find out the Patriots' Week 4 starter on Sunday morning.
