Redskins signed sixth-round FS Baccari Rambo to a four-year contract.

A ballhawking center-field safety at Georgia, Rambo is a poor tackler and has off-field issues, which caused him to slip deep into the third day of the draft. He could still be a steal there for a Washington team in desperate need of free safety help. Rambo will battle fellow rookie Phillip Thomas to be a starter.

The Cincinnati Enquirer expects Tyler Eifert (ankle) to be "healthy the first few weeks of the season -- if not the opener in New York."

Eifert only recently resumed jogging, so this seems like an optimistic take. We're a little over two weeks away from the Bengals' Week 1 game against the Jets. Still, the optimism is good to hear regarding a player who was a fantasy difference maker last season, and now has a clear avenue toward a target increase with Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu out of the picture. Eifert has been slipping into the eighth and ninth rounds of most fantasy drafts.

The Cincinnati Enquirer expects the Bengals to "swing back closer" to a power-running offense featuring Jeremy Hill this season.

With Tyler Eifert healthy and Marvin Jones opposite A.J. Green, the 2015 Bengals incorporated more spread-passing concepts under ex-OC Hue Jackson. The Enquirer's Paul Dehner says "the success of (Andy) Dalton and abundance of passing-game weapons didn't play into Hill's strength last year." Under new OC Ken Zampese, Dehner forsees Cincinnati resuming a rushing-oriented approach with Hill behind FB Ryan Hewitt. Dehner is also buying the narrative that Hill's "razor focus and desire to return to rookie form are very real this offseason."

After Ezekiel Elliott reportedly visited a marijuana dispensary in Seattle prior to Thursday night's preseason game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones deemed Elliott's decision "not good."

TMZ reported Elliott visited a weed shop named "Herban Legends" just "hours" prior to the game. Although recreational marijuana use is legal in Seattle, marijuana remains a banned substance by the NFL. The website's sources did say Elliott "didn't buy or smoke anything in the store." It sounds like Elliott was being a typical tourist. "Well, I think that in and of itself the reason we are talking about is in a way part of the learning process," Jones said of Elliott's decision to visit the weed shop. "But it's not good. It's just not good. It's just not good."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Falcons first-round SS Keanu Neal needs a knee scope and will be sidelined 3-4 weeks.

It's good news considering Neal went down with a non-contact knee injury in Thursday night's preseason game. He seems certain to miss Week 1 and possibly Week 2, but Neal should be back sometime in September. Coach Dan Quinn's next Kam Chancellor, Neal offers big-time tackle upside.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the Browns were asking for a "second-round pick and then some" in exchange for suspended WR Josh Gordon.

No team is going to give that up for Gordon, who is suspended for the first four games and is another strike away from an indefinite ban. The Browns have denied they're looking to deal Gordon. They'd be lucky to get more than a conditional fourth- or fifth-round pick. After missing the early part of camp due to a pulled quad, Gordon will make his preseason debut Friday night.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Chiefs holdout S Eric Berry will report to the team next week.

Speaking Friday morning, coach Andy Reid said he'd have no problems inserting Berry into the Week 1 lineup, even if he shows up that week. It'll be interesting to see what kind of shape Berry is in when he arrives to the facility. Once he reports, Berry will be locked into a one-year, $10.8 million deal.

C.J. Prosise rushed four times for 23 yards in his preseason debut Thursday night.

Although he didn't quite stuff the stat sheet, this was a big step forward for Prosise after an injury-plagued spring and beginning to camp. He worked as the Seahawks' first-team third-down back behind Christine Michael, and also mixed in on some second-and-long plays. Neither Michael nor Thomas Rawls is adept in the passing game, so Prosise could have a Week 1 role. Prosise should be owned in all Dynasty leagues and belongs on re-draft watch lists.

Dak Prescott completed 17-of-23 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' third preseason game, adding two rushes for 12 yards.

Through three exhibition contests, Prescott is 39-of-50 passing (78.0 percent) for 454 yards (9.08 YPA) and a 5:0 TD-to-INT ratio with 53 yards and two more scores on seven carries. That makes seven all-purpose touchdowns for Dak, compared to zero turnovers. The sample size remains small and Prescott has been put in consistently favorable situations by Dallas' coaching staff, but he also warrants recognition as one of the NFL's best preseason stories. He particularly excelled under pressure in Thursday night's game at Seattle, keeping the offense on the move despite the absence of Dez Bryant (concussion).

Tyler Lockett caught 3-of-3 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game.

Lockett's score was a nine-yard grab where he worked himself open in the end zone for a scrambling Russell Wilson. It was the kind of big play that's become Lockett's signature, though he still appears to be third on the depth chart behind Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. He was even out-snapped by Paul Richardson with the first-team offense. Lockett is one of the league's most dynamic playmakers, but the Seahawks could be reluctant to overexpose him on offense because of how dangerous he is on special teams. Lockett is going to have some big fantasy weeks, but could be too unpredictable to be a reliable WR3.
Aug 26 - 12:15 AM

Seahawks WR Paul Richardson caught 2-of-3 targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's third preseason game.

His touchdown came from eight yards out on a rainbow from Russell Wilson. A 4.4-flat speedster whose first two NFL seasons were washed out by injuries, Richardson was a second-round pick in the 2014 draft. He played more first-team snaps than Tyler Lockett in Thursday's exhibition game and looks to have secured a role in Seattle's receiver rotation. Richardson is worth stashing in deep Dynasty leagues. He is a threat to Lockett's 2016 re-draft value.

Christine Michael rushed seven times for 58 yards in the Seahawks' third preseason game Thursday night.

A resurgent C-Mike now has 24 preseason carries for 157 yards, good for a 6.5 yards-per-carry average. He has both grinded out tough yards and showed big-play ability this August while earning the trust of the Seahawks' coaching staff. If you aren't taking Michael serious by now, your head is in the sand. Michael has dominated first-team snaps with Russell Wilson. Even if it isn't as the Seahawks' starter over Rawls, Michael has earned a meaningful early-season role in Seattle's post-Marshawn Lynch backfield.
