Bengals agreed to terms with No. 156 overall pick OT Tanner Hawkinson on a four-year contract.

Hawkinson made 48 consecutive starts at left tackle for Kansas, but will likely be fighting for fourth-tackle duties in training camp. Standing in at 6-foot-5, Hawkinson weighs "just" 298 pounds, and managed only 13 bench-press reps at the Combine. He needs to bulk up.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports "no one" with the Ravens seems "overly concerned" with Joe Flacco's back injury.

Some reports have had Flacco bracing for a 3-6 week absence, but the team is saying Flacco may only need one "rest" week before he begins practicing. La Canfora has heard the latter, and reports Flacco's Wednesday MRI "looked clean," and the Ravens "seem confident" Flacco's back discomfort will "dissipate in short order." Per La Canfora, the Ravens think they "caught this early."

The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are only committing to "a week of rest" for the disk injury in Joe Flacco's back.

Beat writer Jeff Zrebiec reports Flacco has experienced back discomfort "for a little while," prompting doctors to "take a look" on Wednesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Flacco's back injury occurred while he was lifting. Either way, the Ravens are hoping a full week of rest will "calm the symptoms down." Zrebiec also called reports Flacco is bracing to miss 3-6 weeks "a longer absence than I've been told." This remains a huge concern for the Ravens.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Kelvin Benjamin has looked "leaner" and "quick off the ball" early in Panthers camp.

The observation comes one day after coach Ron Rivera stated Benjamin is back "where he needs to be" from a weight and conditioning standpoint. Benjamin has been falling to the seventh and sometimes eighth rounds of July drafts and could prove a value pick there based on his touchdown ceiling.

Joe Flacco is expected to miss the first 3-6 weeks of training camp with a disk injury in his back.

It's a wide timeline, but the negative end of the estimate would jeopardize Flacco's availability for Week 1. Per NFL Network, Flacco will be out "at least a week or two." The Ravens' season opener is September 10 at Cincinnati, just over six weeks from now. Downgrading from Flacco to Ryan Mallett for any amount of time would deal Baltimore's offense a mammoth blow.

Bucs rookie RB Jeremy McNichols (shoulder) has been cleared for training camp.

A popular sleeper in the metrics community for his high-end combination of college production, receiving skills, and Combine measurables, McNichols will now play catch-up after missing all of spring practices recovering from shoulder surgery. Doug Martin's three-game suspension to begin the season opens opportunity for McNichols to compete with Jacquizz Rodgers, Charles Sims, and Peyton Barber. Sims and McNichols play similar roles.

Chargers acquired QB Cardale Jones from the Bills for a conditional seventh-round pick.

The writing was on the wall after Jones saw limited offseason reps behind Tyrod Taylor, T.J. Yates, and Nate Peterman. Jones reunites with ex-Bills OC Anthony Lynn in Los Angeles, where he'll battle Kellen Clemens and Mike Bercovici to back up Philip Rivers. Jones is a raw project that struggled in his lone 2016 appearance. The Bills are left with only a quarterback that was out of the league last year (Yates) and a fifth-round rookie (Peterman) behind Taylor.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports contract talks with Devonta Freeman may have "hit a snag."

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff was hoping to have a something done with Freeman before the start of training camp. Talks "aren't going as smoothly as anticipated" after his agent reportedly left Atlanta without a deal. Freeman is still fully expected to be extended, but it may not come until closer to the regular season.

FanRag's Geoff Mosher believes the slot role is Nelson Agholor's to lose.

Agholor shined filling in for Jordan Matthews (knee) at OTAs. With Torrey Smith not showing much, it should be an easy decision to keep Agholor in three-wide sets if his strong play carries into training camp. Agholor has the most invested-draft capital of the Eagles' wideouts, so there's incentive to start him despite a disappointing first two seasons. The competition for Philly's No. 3 receiver job will be one of the more interesting battles this summer. It's unclear where Agholor assuming the slot role would leave incumbent slot WR Matthews, who hasn't practiced in seemingly forever due to "knee tendinitis."

Redskins placed TE Jordan Reed (toe) on the active/PUP list.

Reed is dealing with "pain and soreness" in his big toe, and is "undergoing further evaluation," per ESPN's John Keim. It sounds like a minor issue, but the Redskins are playing it safe given Reed's injury history. Reed will be reevaluated later this week to determine whether he'll be cleared to practice.

Broncos acquired OL Allen Barbre from the Eagles for a conditional 2019 seventh-round pick.

The Eagles planned to release Barbre, but were able to get some value for him. They'll still save his entire $2.1 million cap number with the trade. Barbre is a solid fit in Denver as a veteran that can play multiple spots. He'll likely compete with Max Garcia at left guard.

Jets claimed WR/KR Lucky Whitehead off waivers from the Cowboys.

The Colts, Chiefs and Saints also had interest in Whitehead. It's a nice landing spot after Whitehead's controversial release from Dallas. The Jets don't have any proven options at kick returner, with Jalin Marshall Whitehead's only competition. Adding Whitehead is a low-risk veteren flyer. None of his $615,000 salary is guaranteed.
