Vikings agreed to terms with No. 213 overall pick LB Michael Mauti on a four-year contract.

Mauti is recovering from the second tear of his left ACL in as many years, but "absolutely" expects to be ready for training camp. He was viewed as a potential day-two pick before going down last November. Mauti is considered a dark-horse candidate for the Vikings' middle linebacker job, but will most likely be limited to special teams as a rookie if he can avoid the reserve/PUP list.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is not practicing Thursday.

Eric Decker (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.

Decker was on the field, but he did not even stretch with the team. His absence is not surprising considering he was headed for an MRI after missing Wednesday's session. It is extremely unlikely he suits up this week. Quincy Enunwa should see a big bump in targets with Decker sidelined, and he is available in a ton of leagues.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said the team will "make sure" Brandon Marshall gets the ball.

"I’m sure (defenses are) paying attention to him; they were paying attention to him last year," Bowles said. "We just have to find better ways to get him the ball." Marshall does have 27 targets through three games, but he has caught just 12 of those for 160 yards and, most concerningly, zero touchdowns. With Eric Decker looking likely to miss some time with a shoulder injury, Marshall will have to be more effective moving forward.

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said the team has "thrown too much" in the last two games.

Jameis Winston has thrown 110 times total in the last two games after attempting more than 40 passes just three times as a rookie. "For our team to be successful," Koetter said, "we can't be throwing in the 50s and we can't be running in the 20s." Game scripts and the injury to Doug Martin have certainly played a role in the pass-heavy approach, but Koetter knows he needs to reel it in. After the Bengals had success running at the Broncos last week, the Bucs could try a similar gameplan on Sunday.

Jaguars OC Greg Olson vowed to "get this run game fixed."

Running backs have averaged just 2.24 yards per carry for the Jaguars this season, and it did not get any better in Chris Ivory's return last week. The running game has a theoretical "get-right game" against the Colts on Sunday, but Indy played much better against the run last week and are starting to get healthy. With the offensive line in shambles, the Jaguars will struggle to run the ball all season.

DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman expects Dwayne Washington to see "an uptick in carries" against the Bears.

Twentyman said Theo Riddick will still be involved, but the smart money is on Washington beginning to monopolize the early-down work. He was much more effective on the same number of carries last week and is a better fit for Ameer Abdullah's old role. Against a Bears front which has been decimated by injuries, Washington is a FLEX play with the upside for a lot more.

Cowboys WR Brice Butler said he is "more confident" in the offense this season.

The Cowboys traded for Butler after Dez Bryant broke his foot in the season opener last year. Butler did not do much while Bryant was out the first time, but he did manage eight catches for 134 yards over the final two weeks of the season. With Bryant likely to miss time again with a hairline fracture in his knee, Butler should get his chance in the starting lineup. He is an interesting sleeper against the 49ers.

Cam Newton said Kelvin Benjamin will not be held catch-less again after seeing just one fruitless target Week 3.

"That can’t happen. That can’t happen," Newton said. "And if I’m speaking for it, that won’t happen again. He’s too good of a player." OC Mike Shula has blamed himself for Benjamin's goose-egg and said the team has to "find a way to get him the ball more." With both the coordinator and quarterback set on getting him targets, Benjamin should see plenty of passes thrown his way against the Falcons.

Ben Roethlisberger hinted that Le'Veon Bell could be used more often in the slot this season.

"We’re not going to take RB off the front of his name and put WR," Roethlisberger said, "but I definitely think he is one of our best receivers." Roethlisberger added the Steelers will use packages which get both Bell and DeAngelo Williams on the field together. We heard similar things last year, but Bell easily out-touched Williams 125-to-14 in his five healthy games. Bell is going to be the focal point of the offense as long as he is on the field, and some snaps at receiver will do nothing but help his value.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it is a "long-shot" Dez Bryant (knee) plays this week.

Rapoport reports the Cowboys hope Bryant can play this week, but they are "aware" he could be looking at a "three-week injury." It would be surprising at this point if Bryant suited up against the 49ers, and he is questionable at best for Week 5 against the Bengals. Cole Beasley should see a ton of targets with Bryant sidelined, and Brice Butler is an interesting sleeper as well.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports Rashad Jennings (thumb) is unlikely to play Monday night against the Vikings.

Jennings' thumb has still not healed enough for him to catch the football or pass protect, so he will end up missing another week. Orleans Darkwa should get the start against Minnesota with Bobby Rainey handling some passing-down work. Rookie Paul Perkins could get involved as well. Even in a daunting matchup, Darkwa will be worth FLEX consideration this week.
