Ravens UDFA OG Antoine McClain is recovering from surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot.

The Clemson product expects to return by training camp, but this may torpedo his roster chances. McClain was already on the wrong end of the roster bubble.

A.J. Green exited Week 16 against the Broncos with an arm injury but returned after missing eight snaps.

Green got popped by T.J. Ward on Andy Dalton's pick-six on the Bengals' fourth offensive play of the game. Dalton threw the ball high, and Ward delivered the blow. The trainers wrapped Green's bicep with some sort of padding. He's not 100 percent, but owners can breathe with fantasy titles on the line.

Peyton Manning (thigh) and Emmanuel Sanders (illness) are both active for Monday night's Week 16 game against the Bengals.

As expected. Despite being listed as questionable, both players were never in any real doubt for the Monday night finale. Inactive for the Broncos are RB Ronnie Hillman, LB Brandon Marshall, OT Paul Cornick, CB Tony Carter, OT Michael Schofield, TE Dominique Jones, and DE Quanterus Smith.

Coach Chuck Pagano stated Monday that the Colts will play their starters in Week 17 against the Titans, despite the fact that they can't improve or hinder their playoff seeding much.

Pagano, understandably, believes the Colts "need to build some steam" entering the postseason after Sunday's 42-7 loss to Dallas. Indianapolis is locked into either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the AFC. They've obviously locked up the AFC South, but can't get a first-round bye. Andrew Luck & Co. will be in play for fantasy leagues still going on in Week 17, and in DFS formats.

Johnny Manziel (hamstring) is done for the season, Browns coach Mike Pettine announced Monday.

It ends a highly disappointing first NFL season for Manziel, who failed to beat out career journeyman backup Brian Hoyer in training camp and fell flat on his face when given late-season opportunities to play. Manziel's arm is average, and he looses all semblance of zip when he doesn't deliver passes with proper technique. He is also not close to being an even passable pocket quarterback. Barring dramatic offseason improvement, we don't see Manziel as particularly likely to open 2015 as the Browns' starter.

NFL suspended Lions C Dominic Raiola one game for stomping on Bears DT Ego Ferguson in Sunday's win over Chicago.

It sounds like he'll just lose one game and one game check for the clearly-dirty move, which was caught on video. Raiola has the right to appeal, but being available for the playoffs should remain his top priority. He could still appeal in an attempt to delay the one-game suspension until next season. Raiola deserves to miss Week 17, and he should know it. He ought to accept this.

Jimmy Clausen has been diagnosed with a concussion, and will be sidelined for Sunday's finale against the Vikings.

Clausen took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Lions RE Ziggy Ansah in Sunday's loss, and apparently suffered "delayed" symptoms. He didn't miss a snap, but ended up going to the hospital on Sunday evening. The league still has a long way to go with concussions. Clausen's injury means Jay Cutler will be back under center for Week 17, and backed up by sixth-round rookie David Fales. The timing couldn't be worse for Clausen, who didn't put anything persuasive on film Sunday. There's no guarantee he'll get a No. 2 job for 2015.

CBS' Jason La Canfora reports Brian Hoyer suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Panthers, and is day to day.

The team has yet to confirm, but it would up the chances Johnny Manziel (hamstring) is back under center for Week 17. That, of course, would depend on Johnny Football's health. The Browns don't have a third quarterback, so it's uncertain what they'd do if neither Hoyer nor Manziel could go. The most likely option would be promoting Connor Shaw from the practice squad.
Dec 22 - 2:30 PM

Speaking Monday, coach Bruce Arians confirmed the Cardinals are "leaning" towards starting Logan Thomas against the 49ers.

Drew Stanton (knee) isn't ready and Ryan Lindley has looked completely overwhelmed, so Arians doesn't have much of a choice as the Cards jockey for playoff seeding. Arians did say Thomas would have to practice well to earn the nod, and that he'd be on a short leash on Sunday. Stanton is hardly a capable NFL quarterback, but the Cards will be one-and-done in the playoffs if he isn't ready to go.
Dec 22 - 2:12 PM

According to ESPN's Vaughn McClure, Steven Jackson (quad) should be back for the Week 17 game against the Panthers.

Jackson strained his quad during the second quarter of Sunday's win at New Orleans and didn't return. That allowed Devonta Freeman to get some extra touches, turning one of the them into a 31-yard touchdown run and adding a 3-48-0 line as a receiver. The 31-year-old Jackson is averaging 3.72 YPC this season as the Falcons' feature back. If the Falcons beat the Panthers, they'll win the NFC South with a 7-9 record.

A source tells PFT that the Cardinals will not release Larry Fitzgerald this offseason.

Fitzgerald carries an exorbitant $23.6 million cap number for 2015 as part of the eight-year, $128.5 million contract he signed in 2011. Per PFT, the future Hall of Famer could be traded, restructure his deal or lower his cap number via an extension of some sort -- but he won't be cut. Of course, this could be a leverage leak from the team looking to maintain some kind of trade market for a 31-year-old receiver who has just 61 catches, 755 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games this season.
Dec 22 - 8:33 AM

Coach Chip Kelly said Mark Sanchez, not Matt Barkley, will start Week 17's meaningless finale against the Giants.

With Sanchez's one-year contract set to expire, there's been a lot of talk in Philadelphia that Barkley should start Sunday so the Eagles can see what they have. Kelly doesn't want to hear it. It's both an indictment of Barkley and affirmation that Kelly is going to play this game to win -- not evaluate. The Eagles have lost three straight games under Sanchez, getting eliminated from the playoffs while Week 1 starter Nick Foles (collarbone) continues to rehab. Foles' rookie deal is up after the 2015 season.
