Cardinals signed No. 103 overall pick DE/OLB Alex Okafor to a four-year contract.

First-rounder Jonathan Cooper is now the Cardinals' lone unsigned draft pick. Okafor was a pass-rushing force at Texas, but has only average explosion (4.89 40-yard dash) and doesn't boast a variety of moves. Okafor should see decent snaps behind starting OLBs Sam Acho and O'Brien Schofield, but will be mostly roster depth as a rookie.

Eagles RT Lane Johnson has cleared the concussion protocol.

He practiced on Tuesday and is on track to return on Monday against Washington. Johnson getting back on the field is a big boost to Carson Wentz and the entire offense.

Ezekiel Elliott has a hearing in New York Tuesday afternoon regarding his request for a temporary restraining order.

We are as confused about all of this as you, but we think Elliott is pursuing an injunction similar to the one which allowed him to play the first five games, an injunction thrown out last week by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Even though the hearing is on Tuesday, it is unclear if Judge Paul A. Crotty will issue a ruling before Sunday's game against the 49ers. Elliott's outlook remains as clear as mud.

Wendell Smallwood (knee) expects to play Week 7 against the Redskins.

Smallwood has been sidelined two weeks because of a knee injury, but he was able to get in some work in practice Tuesday. We should get a better idea of his status when the Eagles issue their first injury report of the week on Thursday. If he is active, Smallwood will be worth FLEX consideration.

Luke Kuechly (concussion) did not practice Tuesday.

Kuechly was out on the practice field, a positive sign as he works through the protocol, but he did not take part in the session. His status for this week remains completely up in the air.

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said Jameis Winston (throwing shoulder) will not attempt to throw until late in the week.

That is if he does at all. Despite that seemingly ominous outlook, Koetter seemed reasonably optimistic Winston will be ready to face the Bills on Sunday. "The way I understand it, he will be cleared medically to play," Koetter said. "I think it's going to be more of, 'Does Jameis feel like he can play at the level he needs to play at?'" Ryan Fitzpatrick will handle most of the work this week in practice and will start in Buffalo if Winston cannot play.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said he plans to "actively expand" Josh Doctson's role.

"He didn’t get as many reps as I would like at the end of the day when you look at the numbers," Gruden said. "We have got to get him in there more and expand it." Doctson caught his second touchdown in three games on Sunday, but he played just 26 percent of the snaps. With both Terrelle Pryor and Jamison Crowder struggling to produce, it makes sense to get the sophomore more work. He is a solid bench stash in all leagues.

Tyreek Hill (neck) was listed as a full participant on the Chiefs' practice report Monday.

The Chiefs only conducted a walkthrough, but this is notable both because it confirms Hill did not suffer a concussion and puts him on track to play Thursday night against the Raiders. He will be an upside WR2 in that matchup.

Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie's suspension has been lifted.

So the "indefinite" ban ended up lasting just one game. Suspended after walking out of the facility, Rodgers-Cromartie and coach Ben McAddo apparently smoothed things over in a meeting last week. This will hopefully be the last we hear of the incident.

Jaguars released K Jason Myers.

Josh Lambo was signed to replace him. Myers missed two kicks including a critical one late in the loss to the Rams on Sunday, his third and fourth misses of the young season. Reasonably solid his first two years with Jacksonville, Myers will likely get a shot somewhere else down the line.

Marlon Mack rushed two times for 18 yards in the Colts' Week 6 loss to the Titans.

He failed to catch either of his two targets. Mack exploded for a 22-yard run on his first attempt, but lost four on the next carry in the first quarter and never touched the ball again. He's now had 12 carries go for zero or negative yards. Mack is the definition of boom or bust. The Colts said they wanted to get Mack more involved after his strong Week 5, but it didn't happen at all. Frank Gore was running well and turned 12 touches into 67 yards, while Robert Turbin chipped in 40 yards on seven touches before leaving with an elbow injury in the final quarter. Mack is worth a bench stash, but the Colts love their old guys like Gore, who never gets hurt.
Oct 17 - 12:03 AM

T.Y. Hilton caught just 1-of-4 targets for 19 yards in the Colts' Week 6 loss to the Titans.

The Titans came into this one bleeding fantasy points and production to opposing receivers, but Hilton was unable to get much going at all. He's had two massive games at home this season -- 7-153-1 vs. CLE and 7-177 vs. SF -- but has been real quiet on the road with 3-57-0, 3-30-0, and now 1-19-0 lines. His home-road splits have been a story his entire career, and things only get worse without Andrew Luck in the lineup. The Colts head back out on the road in Week 7 against Jacksonville's No. 1 pass defense. Hilton will be a borderline WR3/4 for that matchup.
