Jaguars waived DE Austen Lane and CB Trey Wilson.

A fifth-round pick of the Jags in 2010, Lane managed just three sacks in his three seasons. He was buried on a defensive end depth chart that included Tyson Alualu, Jason Babin, Jeremy Mincey and Andre Branch. Wilson was an undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt.

Speaking at his introductory presser, new Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said the team would speak to Gus Bradley about the defensive coordinator position again on Tuesday.

Los Angeles is Bradley's best bet for a job right now, but there's been speculation he's waiting to see if Tom Cable gets the 49ers' job. Bradley coached alongside Cable in Seattle. San Diego, with its Joey Bosa-led defense, would be the much better career choice.

The Chargers will retain Ken Whisenhunt as offensive coordinator.

This was the expectation even before Anthony Lynn, himself an offensive mind, was hired. Whisenhunt coordinated Philip Rivers in 2013, earning himself a second chance as a head coach with the Titans. He failed spectacularly, and was back with the Bolts in 2016. Whisenhunt's 2016 unit was effective, but plagued by the typical inconsistency and chaos that's been a mainstay for the Chargers. Lynn's presence should be a huge plus for Melvin Gordon.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports impending free agent Danny Woodhead (torn ACL) is "six weeks" ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Reporter Michael Gehlken posted a video of Woodhead running with great velocity and even doing some cutting. Woodhead is four months removed from going down. He should still have at least 2-3 months of intensive rehab remaining, but it appears he could be close to 100 percent for training camp. One week shy of his 32nd birthday, Woodhead is one of the league's best pass-catching backs, but missed the majority of two of the past three seasons with injury.

USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports suspended WR Martavis Bryant has applied for reinstatement.

Bryant won't be returning for the AFC Championship Game or a potential Super Bowl appearance, but is trying to get his ducks in a row for 2017. Bryant was suspended a minimum of one season last March. As we've seen with Aldon Smith, it's not a guarantee the league will reinstate him simply because he's eligible. Bryant turned 25 last month.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Ladarius Green remains in the concussion protocol.

Green did not seem particularly close to playing in the Divisional Round, but Tomlin did say he has a chance. He will need to get in some practice reps early in the week to have any shot at returning. The Steelers could certainly use Green as they head to New England.

ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky reports Jordy Nelson is "a bit of a longshot to play" in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Demovsky adds Nelson "has a chance to play...but it's only a small chance." The receiver suffered broken ribs in the Wild Card Round, an injury which often requires a full month before a player even thinks about returning. Nelson will certainly give it his all in an effort to get back on the field, but the Packers have not sounded optimistic early in the week. Jared Cook stepped up in a big way with Nelson out against the Cowboys, and he will once again be in a good spot against the Falcons.

Jerry Jones said he has yet to decide what to do with Tony Romo this offseason.

"There's only one that can make that decision, and there's been no decision made," Jones said. "Don't think for one minute if you see something written or something said about what and where Romo is going to be, relative to our team, that there's any credibility to it." While he may be technically telling the truth that a final decision has yet to be made, there is almost zero chance Romo is back with the Cowboys next year. How he leaves and where he goes are the only real questions remaining.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports "it wouldn't be a surprise" if coach Bill O'Brien decides to take over the offensive coordinator position.

Houston is on the hunt for a new OC after "mutually parting ways" with George Godsey on Monday. O'Brien took over play-calling duties from Godsey early in the season before sharing those responsibilities down the stretch, so it would not be a big leap for him to take over as the primary play-caller in 2017. The Texans will almost certainly give someone the "OC" title, but O'Brien should run the show moving forward.

Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice reports the Eagles "are considering moving on" from C Jason Kelce.

It would be a surprising move which ultimately would not save the cap-strapped Eagles very much money. Philly would gain $3.8 million against the cap by releasing or trading Kelce, and that number would grow to $5 million if he is designated a post-June 1 cut. Neither total seems like enough to move on from one of the better centers in the game, even if he is coming off a down year. Kelce just turned 29 in November.

Coach Pete Carroll indicated Jimmy Graham will remain with the Seahawks next season.

With Graham owed $10 million including a $2 million roster bonus due on March 11, there had been speculation the Seahawks would decide to move on, but that idea always seemed far fetched. It is more likely Seattle looks to extend the 30-year-old, who had a remarkable year coming off a torn patellar tendon and should only get better as he gets further removed from the injury. Graham will be back for what suddenly has the makings of a high-powered passing attack.

Impending free agent CB Brandon Carr said he will consider retirement this offseason.

Carr made the statement after the Cowboys' Divisional Round loss to the Packers. Only 30, this is likely just a player venting some frustration in an emotional moment, but it at least is worth noting. Carr did not live up to his contract in Dallas, but he has been a solid, reliable starter. He will receive plenty of interest in free agency if he decides to keep playing.
