Patriots signed RB George Winn, formerly of the Texans.

An undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati, Winn initially signed with the Texans but was waived immediately after rookie minicamp. In New England, Winn will be a camp body as No. 3 tailback Brandon Bolden nurses a foot ailment.

Khiry Robinson (forearm) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Packers.

Robinson referred to his injury as "a little boo-boo" earlier in the week, but the Saints' medical staff clearly disagrees. As Pierre Thomas has also been ruled out, New Orleans' backfield will be dominated by Mark Ingram and Travaris Cadet versus Green Bay's No. 31 run defense. The stars have aligned for a bounce-back game for Ingram after last week's clunker against Detroit.
Oct 24 - 4:33 PM

Shane Vereen is listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Bears after missing Friday's practice with an illness.

Twitter freaked out when Vereen wasn't seen at Friday's practice, but players often miss practice with illnesses and are all systems go on game days. Check back Sunday for updates, but Vereen's outlook shouldn't have changed.
Oct 24 - 4:13 PM

Vincent Jackson (ribs) is listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Vikings.

V-Jax practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and is expected to play against Minnesota. His status will be worth rechecking Sunday morning, however. On the off chance Jackson were unable to suit up for Week 8, the Bucs would turn to Mike Evans and Louis Murphy as their starting wideouts.
Oct 24 - 3:03 PM

A.J. Green (toe) is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

Green missed every day of practice this week, only working off to the side with rehabbing players. Mohamed Sanu will stay in the No. 1 wideout role for Sunday's clash with Baltimore. Sanu struggled to create separation last week, being asked to win on the perimeter. Cincinnati's passing game is likely in for a long day Sunday. They better get their running game kick started.
Oct 24 - 1:38 PM

Owen Daniels is out indefinitely after having his knee scoped on Friday.

The Ravens are only saying Daniels will be out "at least one game," but he's much likelier to miss more. It's another big blow to OC Gary Kubiak's offense, which already lost Dennis Pitta for the season. Mostly a blocker to this point in Kubiak's offense, third-round rookie Crockett Gillmore will now take over as the Ravens' starting tight end, perhaps with FB Kyle Juszczyk and/or WR Marlon Brown taking on bigger roles in the passing game.
Oct 24 - 1:25 PM

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner guesses Tyler Eifert (elbow) will return from the injured reserve/designated for return list in Week 11 against the Saints.

Eifert is worth rostering for forward-thinking fantasy owners in need of tight end help. He was a big part of OC Hue Jackson's game plan in Week 1, before dislocating the elbow, racking up three early catches for 37 yards. Jermaine Gresham has done nothing to instill confidence as a pass catcher during Eifert's absence, while A.J. Green (toe) is now hobbled and Marvin Jones (foot) is on I.R. Eifert could flirt with TE1 stats down the stretch.
Oct 24 - 1:18 PM

Trent Richardson (hamstring) is questionable for Week 8 against the Steelers after missing practice every day this week.

He's going to be a game-time decision. Richardson is already sluggish at 100 percent, so he'd be nothing more than a borderline RB2/3 at less than full health. If he can't play, Dan Herron is expected to handle some of Richardson's workload. "Boom" is a north-south runner who showed he's hard to bring down in the preseason. Ahmad Bradshaw would gobble up a few extra looks.
Oct 24 - 1:01 PM

Reggie Wayne (elbow) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Steelers.

The 5-2 Colts sit comfortably atop the AFC South and Wayne was looking tired in recent weeks. He then landed awkwardly on his elbow last Sunday against the Bengals and missed the entire practice week. Look for Griff Whalen and Donte Moncrief picking up extra work behind T.Y. Hilton. Moncrief may be the biggest beneficiary. He was already eating into Hakeem Nicks' snaps and has gobs of upside. He's not an advised re-draft start, but worth a dart throw in daily leagues. Wayne will eye a Week 9 return.
Oct 24 - 12:53 PM

A.J. Green (toe) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

That's another clean sweep of DNPs for Green, which will likely rule him out for Week 8 against the Ravens. Green has strictly been doing conditioning drills on a side field all week. After last week's debacle against the Colts that saw three-and-out after three-and-out for the offense, the Bengals better figure out how to run the ball against Baltimore. Mo Sanu will dominate targets in the pass game.
Oct 24 - 11:11 AM

Calvin Johnson (ankle) is questionable for Week 8 against the Falcons.

Megatron will "truly be a game-time decision," according to Tim Twentyman of the Lions' team website. Johnson got in three limited practices this week and began cutting and running routes on the sprained ankle. At least we'll know Johnson's status early, as the Lions and Falcons kick off at 9:30 AM ET Sunday.
Oct 24 - 10:39 AM

Reggie Bush (ankle) is doubtful for Week 8 against the Falcons.

We can't trust anything Bush says. He declared himself 100 percent ready for Week 7, and Bush was barely used in the second half. This week, he said he's going to play against Atlanta in London. That appears unlikely. It'll be Joique Bell and Theo Riddick in the backfield for Detroit. Bell is our No. 17 running back.
