Marcus Lattimore (knee surgeries) believes he's physically capable of practicing right now.

When Lattimore shredded his ACL, PCL and MCL nine months ago, some doctors said he wouldn't walk for a year. Now he's running steps and sprinting up hills. Lattimore will almost certainly start his rookie season on the reserve/PUP list and use 2013 as a redshirt season, but he's far ahead of schedule. Dynasty leaguers should take note.

Rex Burkhead (ribs) is not practicing Wednesday.

Burkhead was forced to leave Week 2 against the Saints after scoring a first-half touchdown on five touches. Dion Lewis played more in his absence.

Rob Gronkowski (groin) is practicing on Wednesday.

Gronkowski has already said the groin injury he suffered in the Week 2 win over the Saints is minor. He's fully expected to suit up against the Texans on Sunday. Danny Amendola (concussion) is also practicing Wednesday.

Isaiah Crowell said he talked to coach Hue Jackson about getting him more carries.

Crowell has opened the season against a pair of tough run defenses in the Steelers and Ravens and has managed just 70 rushing yards on 27 carries (2.59 YPC) along with 33 yards on two catches. Jackson wants to get him the ball more, but we've heard him say this before. The good news is the schedules softens a bit with the Colts, Bengals, and Jets on deck for the Browns, even though the Colts are second in the league in run defense after two weeks.

Coach Mike Zimmer said Sam Bradford (knee) "felt better" on Tuesday and remains day to day.

"We'll just see how he’s doing as we move forward day to day," Zimmer continued. Bradford is reportedly dealing with a bone bruise and no ligament damage. Case Keenum was completely inept at moving the offense in Week 2, averaging 4.5 YPA despite not turning the ball over. The Vikings' skill guys like Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen need Bradford back in the lineup ASAP.

ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan thinks "this might actually be the week" New York features Orleans Darkwa instead of Paul Perkins at running back.

The Giants are considering major changes on offense after their 0-2 start. Coach Ben McAdoo is considering giving up play-calling duties, there may be an offensive line shakeup, and Perkins could get benched. Perkins has managed a pitiful 26 yards on 14 carries (1.86 YPC) through two games, while Darkwa has 31 yards on six carries (5.2 YPC). Darkwa clearly needs more reps.

Dolphins acquired LB Stephone Anthony from the Saints in exchange for a 2018 fifth-round pick.

It's a flier for the linebacker-needy Dolphins and a dump for the Saints. The No. 31 overall pick of the 2015 draft, Anthony flopped badly in New Orleans. He struggled as a rookie and was benched as a sophomore. He's currently recovering from a high-ankle sprain. He'll be a warm body for the Dolphins once he gets back to full health.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo could surrender play-calling duties.

McAdoo toyed with the idea in the offseason before deciding against it. The G-Men have averaged an abysmal 17.9 points in 18 games with McAdoo as head coach, so a change is arguably overdue. OC Mike Sullivan would likely take the reins were McAdoo to relinquish them.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo says the team is "absolutely" sticking with Ereck Flowers at left tackle for Week 3.

Flowers got his soul owned on Monday Night Football, single-handedly ending Ziggy Ansah's pass-rushing slump. He was whipped for three sacks, more or less torpedoing the Giants' offense. Flowers was just as bad in Week 1, as well as the preseason. The G-Men are running low on viable alternatives, but are likely nearing "anyone but Flowers" territory.

Jaguars claimed WR Jaelen Strong off waivers from the Texans.

Strong had worn out his welcome in Houston, but is still only 23, and just two years removed from being the No. 70 overall pick of the draft. The Jaguars have nearly nonexistent receiver depth behind Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns. It could be a nice fresh start situation for Strong, though it's ultimately hard to see what will be different from his time in Houston.

Dolphins suspended SLB Lawrence Timmons indefinitely for violating team rules.

Dealing with a personal situation, Timmons went AWOL from the team on Saturday night. He was reportedly back with the club on Monday, but the Dolphins have decided the transgression must be punished. "Indefinite" team suspensions have a way of lasting only a game or two, but Timmons' situation is extremely murky. Anything from one week to the Dolphins moving on completely is on the table. Under the CBA, four weeks is the max length of Timmons' suspension. The ban should void the $4.5 million guaranteed in Timmons' deal.

Browns placed WR Corey Coleman on injured reserve with a broken hand.

Coleman underwent surgery on his broken right hand Monday. The second-year pro is expected to be one of the Browns' "return" players. He can resume practicing in six weeks and return to game action in eight. That timeline pretty much takes him off the table as a hold in 12-team leagues, though Coleman should make an impact upon his return. He was off to a solid start, and the Browns have a dire situation at receiver.
