Jets RB Joe McKnight was arrested in New Jersey last week for outstanding warrants after police pulled him over for speeding and changing lanes without signaling.

McKnight was arrested on July 30, on a Jets day off from camp. Police found he had blown off a $200 ticket for failing to produce an insurance card, and another $120 fine for failing to observe a traffic signal. Apparently, McKnight obeys traffic law about as well as he plays running back. He suffered a concussion at Friday's practice, and has not participated in training camp since.

Chris Russell of ESPN 980 Washington, D.C. reports the Redskins are "planning on having" DeSean Jackson (shoulder) active for Week 3 against the Eagles.

Russell adds that "for now," this is the plan. Jackson remains a game-time decision. The Redskins will put him through an extensive pre-game workout and make a decision afterward. Multiple reports have been that Jackson's shoulder remains a definite issue. There's a chance he could play a very limited role.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen said he expects Wes Welker to be a third-down or role player in Sunday's Week 3 game at Seattle.

It's Welker's first game off suspension and first game since suffering his latest concussion. The Broncos project to stick with the two-tight end sets they've been featuring a lot of so far, only bringing Welker in on pass downs for now. He'll eventually get on the WR2/3 map, but this is not the week to use the slot machine. He already had a terrible matchup playing at CenturyLink Field.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jordan Cameron (shoulder) is expected to play against the Ravens.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora has a similar report. After sitting out Week 2 in an effort to get his shoulder some rest, Cameron will be back in the mix as a mid-range TE1 as the Browns' No. 1 pass-game option. The Ravens have allowed just nine catches for 88 yards to opposing tight ends through two games.

Appearing on GameDay Morning, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Jamaal Charles (ankle) is not expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins.

Rapoport reported earlier in the morning that Charles had a "real chance" to suit up against Miami. The Chiefs will put Charles through a pre-game workout, so he's still a true game-time decision. The situation remains fluid. If Charles can't go, Knile Davis will be dropped into his role as an every-down workhorse.
Sep 21 - 9:36 AM

The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson is "hearing some rumblings" that Bernard Pierce's (thigh) availability is in "serious doubt" for Week 3 against the Browns.

Signs have been pointing against Pierce the past couple days. He was added to the injury report Thursday. We never like mid-week injuries. The Ravens then signed RB Fitzgerald Toussaint off the practice squad Saturday. If Pierce can't go, Justin Forsett and darkhorse rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro will carry the load.

Appearing on GameDay First, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Arian Foster (hamstring) is a "long shot" to play against the Giants on Sunday.

It appears Foster's league-high 55 carries have already caught up to him. As a 28-year-old workhorse with past hamstring issues, Foster simply can't hold up to this insane workload. It's likely to be the Alfred Blue show this week against the G-Men, with Ronnie Brown mixing in on passing downs. Blue has some RB2/FLEX appeal in this run-heavy offense. The Giants are missing MLB Jon Beason.
Sep 21 - 8:42 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Raiders "don't expect to have" Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) available for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Patriots.

It'll be the Darren McFadden show once again in the Oakland backfield. Latavius Murray will be the change-of-pace, with Marcel Reece also getting a couple carries. MJD practiced Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable. He already has nothing left in the tank, so if Jones-Drew isn't 100 percent healthy he doesn't do the team any good. McFadden is a RB3 this week.
Sep 21 - 8:33 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports it's "doubtful" Vernon Davis (ankle, knee) plays Sunday against the Cardinals.

It's been shaping up this way all week. Davis hasn't practiced since leaving last Sunday night's Week 2 loss against the Bears on crutches. Derek Carrier is expected to get the start at tight end in an extremely favorable matchup.

Former Titans K Rob Bironas was killed in a single-vehicle car accident Saturday night in Nashville.

He lost control of his SUV while traveling at a high rate of speed, before crashing into several trees and ending up upside down in a culvert pipe ditch. Bironas, 36, was the Titans' kicker the previous nine seasons before being released in March. He recently worked out for the Bucs and Lions. Bironas was a first-team All-Pro in 2007 and had an 85.7 percent career success rate on field goals.

Chargers placed OLB Melvin Ingram (hip) on injured reserve/designated for return.

Ingram won't be able to practice for a minimum of six weeks, and isn't eligible to return until Week 11. It's a major downgrade to the Chargers' pass rush, as Ingram already had a sack and eight quarterback hurries through two games. A combination of Jerry Attaochu and Tourek Williams will replace Ingram opposite Dwight Freeney. Ingram missed 12 games last year with a torn ACL, and will now be sidelined at least seven games this season.
Sep 20 - 4:12 PM

Brandon Marshall (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets.

Marshall returned to a limited practice on Saturday, putting him on track to play. Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is also listed as questionable, but is expected to start. Both are top-ten receivers against a Jets secondary that allowed 346 yards and three touchdowns to Aaron Rodgers last week. With CB Dee Milliner (quad) likely out, Marshall should match up with Darrin Walls, with Jeffery drawing Antonio Allen in coverage.
