Eagles waived WR Russell Shepard.

Thanks to Jeremy Maclin's injury and a hot start to camp, Shepard found himself in the mix for No. 2 wideout duties about three weeks ago. But then Shepard cooled off, Riley Cooper got back in the team's good graces and the numbers caught up with him. The undrafted free agent probably showed enough to get a look on a practice squad. The Eagles will roll with Damaris Johnson, Jason Avant and probably Jeff Maehl behind DeSean Jackson and Cooper.

Hunter Henry caught 5-of-5 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' Week 12 Thanksgiving win over the Cowboys.

Per beat reporter Jack Wang's calculations, the Chargers are now 5-1 in games where Henry draws at least five targets and 0-5 when he doesn't. Los Angeles' coaching staff decisions with regard to Henry's usage have been egregious all year, but the sophomore tight end has remained one of the NFL's most-efficient pass catchers. Henry will continue to be a boom-bust TE1 option, even in a plum Week 13 draw against the Browns.

Melvin Gordon rushed 21 times for 65 yards and caught 3-of-3 targets for 23 yards in the Chargers' Week 12 Thanksgiving win over Dallas.

Gordon finished with ample volume to make him a top-25 fantasy running back on the week, but he was a liability all night against a Sean Lee-less Cowboys defense he should have shredded. Gordon doesn't make guys miss and is incapable of turning nothing runs into something. He lost nine more touches to Austin Ekeler, whose big-play ability is superior to Gordon's. With all of that said, Gordon is an elite RB1 play each week simply because he gets the ball often and plays in a productive offense.

Dak Prescott completed 20-of-27 passes for 179 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Cowboys' 28-6, Week 12 loss to the Chargers on Thanksgiving.

Prescott has been held under 180 yards passing in all three games without Ezekiel Elliott this month. Rod Smith's late-game touchdown run was the Cowboys' first visit to the end zone since early Week 10. Prescott did have a long touchdown run, but it was wiped out on a blatant hold by LT Tyron Smith, and he threw a 90-yard pick-six to Desmond King in the fourth quarter on a play he didn't see a wide-open Jason Witten in the end zone. Prescott, even in a prime spot, will be hard to trust as a fantasy play next Thursday night against the Redskins.
Nov 23 - 7:27 PM

Philip Rivers completed 27-of-33 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns in the Chargers' Week 12 Thanksgiving win over the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott will undeservedly bear the brunt of blame for Dallas' slump, but Rod Marinelli's defense has been just as much of a liability. They could not cover Keenan Allen all night and hemorrhaged big plays to Hunter Henry and Tyrell Williams. Rivers simply didn't miss, picking apart Dallas even as his field goal kicker got hurt and cost the team points. Rivers draws another favorable matchup in Week 13 against the Browns.

Sterling Shepard (migraines) is inactive for Week 12 against the Redskins.

He traveled with the team but the migraines remained too much to overcome. Travis Rudolph will man the slot with Tavarres King and Roger Lewis outside. Also inactive for the Giants are CB Eli Apple, RT Justin Pugh, OG D.J. Fluker, QB Davis Webb, MLB B.J. Goodson, and LB Calvin Munson.
Nov 23 - 7:22 PM

Keenan Allen caught 11-of-14 targets for 172 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' Week 12 Thanksgiving win over Dallas.

The Cowboys simply could not cover Allen in the middle of the field, and his cherry on top was a 42-yard score that included numerous broken tackles. Allen is a top-ten NFL wide receiver when healthy, and healthy he has been all season, putting to rest "injury-prone" nonsense of years past when he dealt with fluky injuries. Expect Allen to stay white hot in Week 13 against the Browns.
Nov 23 - 7:21 PM

Chargers WR Mike Williams was carted off the field with a knee injury in the first quarter of Week 12 and will not return.

He entered the game nursing a bum knee. It's a disappointing development for the seventh overall pick in the draft, who missed the first part of the year with a back injury. Williams set a season high by playing 55% of the snaps last week.
Nov 23 - 5:28 PM

Ameer Abdullah rushed six times for 14 yards in the Lions' Week 12 loss to the Vikings, adding three receptions for 29 additional yards.

Abdullah also lost yet another fumble. It was credited to Matthew Stafford, but it was 100 percent Abdullah's fault. Stafford put the ball right in Abdullah's mitts. He flat dropped it, and the Vikings made the Lions pay three plays later with a touchdown to go up 13-0. Abdullah's yards per carry is now down to 3.36. Abdullah isn't busting big plays and is rarely scoring. In Year 3, he's proven to be a role player who lacks an obvious role.
Nov 23 - 4:31 PM

Kyle Rudolph caught 4-of-4 targets for 63 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' Thanksgiving win over the Lions.

Rudolph's fourth and fifth touchdowns of the season were his first in three weeks. Left alone on score No. 1, Rudolph caught a beautiful rainbow from a pressured Case Keenum for score No. 2. Amazingly, the 60-yard effort was Rudolph's first of the season. He'll be a back-end TE1 for Week 13 against the Falcons.
Nov 23 - 4:16 PM

Adam Thielen caught 8-of-11 targets for 89 yards in the Vikings' Thanksgiving win over the Lions.

The 80-yard effort was Thielen's fourth straight, and pushed him over 1,000 for the season. Thielen and Antonio Brown are the only players currently past the 1K mark. Thielen made a number of tough grabs, and seemed to always be open. What else is new. Playing genuinely superb football, Thielen will be a high-end WR1 for Week 13 against the Falcons.
Nov 23 - 4:16 PM

Marvin Jones caught 6-of-9 targets for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Lions' Thanksgiving loss to the Vikings.

Doing battle with Xavier Rhodes, Jones surprisingly got the better of the Vikings' lockdown corner. His first touchdown was a tough-handed, six-yard grab at the goal line. No. 2 was the real highlight. Jones split double coverage from Rhodes and Terence Newman down the right sideline to secure a 43-yard grab. The real stunner is that Newman was the 12th defender on the field, and was trying to spring off to avoid a penalty. When he realized it was too late, he stayed on to defense Jones, who won the play anyways. White hot, Jones has three 100-yard games in his past five, and has scored five times in the process. He's up to eight on the year. He'll be an upside WR2 against the Ravens for Week 13.
