Rashard Mendenhall (toe) missed his second straight practice Thursday.

The increasingly injury-prone back's status is officially dicey for Sunday. Mendenhall has missed a ton of practice time this season, so it's still possible he could return on Friday and earn a "probable" designation. If not, he won't be a recommended FLEX play.

Le'Veon Bell rushed 13 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns and caught 9-of-10 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against Baltimore.

Bell struggled to find running lanes on his limited carries, getting most of his yardage in the pass game. He lined up at receiver for a 20-yard touchdown on the Steelers' first drive, with both of his rushing TDs coming in the red-zone. Bell had his knee bent on a first-half run but managed to stay in the game. The scoring salvaged Bell’s night but this wasn’t one of his best rushing performances. Bell will remain a top-five play against the Patriots in Week 15.
Dec 11 - 12:15 AM

Ben Roethlisberger completed 44-of-66 passes for 506 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 14 win over Baltimore.

Roethlisberger moved the offense effectively despite a tough matchup. He was check down heavy outside of a few deep passes to Antonio Brown. Both of Roethlisberger’s touchdowns came in the red-zone, with his highlight a 20-yard strike to Le'Veon Bell. The Steelers trailed for most of the second half before Roethlisberger led them to a game-winning field goal late in the fourth quarter. Roethlisberger has been on a hot streak with at least two touchdowns in five straight games. He gets a matchup with the Patriots in Week 15.

Bucs DT Gerald McCoy fears he suffered a torn biceps in the Week 14 loss to the Lions.

McCoy has torn his biceps twice already in his pro career, tearing the left one as a rookie and the right one the following year. He knows what it feels like, so we'll take his word on it. McCoy would certainly be lost for the remainder of the season against the Falcons, Panthers, and Saints the final three weeks. Tampa already has little defensive line talent, as McCoy is the only true difference maker up front for this woefully-bad defense.
Dec 10 - 10:40 PM

Coach Todd Bowles announced Josh McCown suffered a broken left (non-throwing) hand in the Week 14 loss to the Broncos.

McCown was banged up in this one, injuring his back in the second quarter before then hurting his left hand the next quarter. He'll undergo further tests to determine if he'll need surgery, and we'd imagine he will. McCown was in a cast after the game. The 38-year-old almost made it through the entire season but suffered his yearly injury before doing so. It's so tough for him, as McCown is a legitimate starter in this league but cannot sustain health. Bryce Petty is next man up for a Jets team that has far and away exceeded expectations under McCown's guidance.
Dec 10 - 9:28 PM

Dede Westbrook caught 5-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Seahawks.

Westbrook's first NFL touchdown came on an 18-yard corner route to the right side of the field in which he split zone coverage. His eight targets led the team, the second time in three weeks that Westbrook has led the team in target opportunity. Westbrook's receiving yardage has now risen in each of his four games since being activated in Week 11 and he's had at least five receptions in each of his past three games. Westbrook will be on the table as a startable option in Week 15 against a Texans defense that has struggled to cover opposing wideouts on the season.
Dec 10 - 9:15 PM

Eagles TE Trey Burton caught 5-of-6 targets for 71 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' Week 14 win over the Rams.

Burton's day got off to an ominous start when Brent Celek scored on the Eagles' opening drive, but Burton had a score of his own before the first quarter was through. He then scored again in the opening minutes of the second. It was everything fantasy streamers could have hoped for. With Zach Ertz (concussion) expected back for Week 15, Burton won't be on the radar against the Giants' sieve-like tight end defense.
Dec 10 - 8:30 PM

Cooper Kupp caught 5-of-7 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' Week 14 loss to the Eagles.

The 100-yard game was Kupp's second in three weeks. He had a 64-yard grab where he did major damage after the catch. Three of Kupp's four-highest yardage totals have come since Thanksgiving. The production binge has also coincided with Robert Woods' (shoulder) absence. Woods is expected back for Week 15 in Seattle, which would make Kupp more of a WR3 than the WR2 he's been producing as of late.
Dec 10 - 8:21 PM

Todd Gurley rushed 13 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Week 14 loss to the Eagles, adding three receptions for 39 additional yards.

Gurley was running wild from the opening drive, where he piled up 32 yards and a score on two touches. Strangely, he was barely used the rest of the first half, though coach Sean McVay did resume getting him the ball after the break. Gurley seemed to have as much juice in his legs as he has all season. Extreme value and touchdown opportunity will keep Gurley in the top five for Week 15, but he has a daunting road assignment in the Seahawks.
Dec 10 - 8:09 PM

Alshon Jeffery caught 5-of-11 targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 14 win over the Rams.

The score was Jeffery's eighth of the season. He made a shoestring catch in the end zone. It came with a cost, as it ended up being Carson Wentz's final play of the day before departing with a knee injury. There's worry Wentz has torn his ACL. Nick Foles would be a drastic downgrade for the entire Eagles offense, and make Jeffery a risky WR2 for the duration of the fantasy playoffs.
Dec 10 - 7:57 PM

Russell Wilson completed 17-of-31 passes for 271 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions while adding 50 yards rushing on five carries in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Jaguars.

In his toughest matchup of the season, Wilson had his hands full early on. He hit halftime with a season-low 36 yards to go along with an interception. Wilson then found the long ball in the second half, connecting on gains of 43, 61 and 74 yards in the second half, with the last two being touchdowns to Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett for fourth quarter. Those two touchdowns gave Wilson 17 fourth quarter passing touchdowns on the season, an NFL record for a single season. Wilson did throw the three picks - two to A.J. Bouye and one to Jalen Ramsey-but still turned in a top-5 fantasy week in his toughest assignment of the season. Wilson will be a set and forget QB1 option next week when the Seahawks host the Rams.
Dec 10 - 7:52 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Eagles are "concerned" Carson Wentz has torn his left ACL.

It's a worst case scenario after Wentz went down late in Sunday's win. More should be known after an MRI but it sounds like he's done for the year. Losing Wentz is a major hit to Philly's chances of making a deep playoff run. The Eagles are now forced to turn to Nick Foles at quarterback.
