Panthers SS Quintin Mikell (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 3.

Promoted off the practice squad just two days ago, Robert Lester will start in Mikell's absence. It's excellent news for the Giants. Being ruled out at this stage of the week suggests Mikell has a high-ankle sprain. He's week to week.

ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia wrote 60 receptions is "not a stretch" for sophomore C.J. Prosise "if he stays healthy."

The "if he stays healthy" is an important addendum after Prosise was limited to six games as a rookie. That said, Kapadia notes Seattle running backs combined for 75 catches last year, and Prosise is the best bet to earn those targets. Eddie Lacy will be the workhorse, but Prosise is in position to earn a PPR-friendly role.

LeSean McCoy is excited about his potential role in the passing game under new OC Rick Dennison.

"That’s something I’ve been a part of, but it’s been a while since I’ve actually got the ball a lot in the air," McCoy said. "(Dennison is) big on that, you look at all the successful running backs that’s been in his offense, from Arian Foster who I’m a big fan of, he did it on the ground and in the air." McCoy caught 78 passes as a sophomore with the Eagles, but he has not topped 55 in a season since. While 78 is likely out of the question in what should be a run-heavy attack, McCoy is a good bet to top the 50/356/1 receiving line he put up last year, especially considering the Bills' thin depth chart at receiver. McCoy is a high-end RB1.

Kirk Cousins said he wants to get Terrelle Pryor "as many touches as possible."

"I like it because I’ve never had a conversation with a receiver like I’ve had with him," Cousins said about the former quarterback. "He really can see it and he’s going to hold me accountable." Cousins worked with Pryor during the offseason, and it appears the duo have already built some rapport. Even with Josh Doctson healthy, Pryor projects as Washington's No. 1 receiver and is firmly in the WR2 discussion for fantasy.

Bucs K Roberto Aguayo connected on just 5-of-9 field goal attempts during two OTA practices open to the media last week.

Competitor Nick Folk went 9-for-9 on kicks all from the same distance. Tampa Bay Times reporter Rick Stroud is skeptical Aguayo will be a part of the Bucs' 2017 roster, just one year after GM Jason Licht traded up to draft him in the second round. Whereas Aguayo managed a league-low 71 percent field goal rate as a rookie, Folk is a lifetime 81.3-percent kicker.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss expects the Patriots to hold onto Dion Lewis, but in a lesser role.

The Patriots' backfield is well stocked following the additions of Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee. Reiss expects the Pats to "carefully manage" injury-riddled Lewis this season, limiting him to 15-20 snaps per game. Reiss did note that Lewis hit the line of scrimmage with "noticeable burst" at Thursday's OTA practice. Lewis is also expected to return kickoffs.

Franchise-tagged QB Kirk Cousins says extension talks with the Redskins have been "really positive."

"As one person told me, Deadlines do deals," said Cousins. "That’s just kind of a rule in negotiating, so why would something happen way before a deadline? I’m not in a hurry, they’re not in a hurry, so we’ll just see how things go." The Redskins have been in talks with Cousins since the start of the offseason, but haven't gotten anywhere. It sounds like Cousins is still open to an extension if his demands are reached. Washington has until July 15 to work out a deal.

The Boston Herald's Karen Guregian reports Rob Gronkowski (back) was a "full-go" during OTAs.

Guregian notes Gronk was allowed to do everything despite it raining, suggesting the Patriots are very comfortable with his recovery. That is not a surprise considering the team allowed him to participate in a WWE event earlier this offseason and recently restructured his deal. Injuries will always be a concern, but Gronkowski remains the top overall fantasy tight end.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports DeShone Kizer is "on the fast-track" to winning the Browns' starting job.

Coach Hue Jackson called Kizer a "quick study." Kizer is being pushed to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Cody Kessler is getting the majority of first-team reps, but it looks like the Browns have no plans to slow play Kizer.

Saints RT Zach Strief has agreed to a restructured contract.

He's getting a well-deserved raise. Per Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Advocate, Strief's base salary for 2017 has been increased from $1 million to $1.7 million while his per game roster bonus was bumped up from $1.4 million to $1.7 million. Strief started every game at right tackle last season while earning PFF's No. 10 tackle grade out of 76 qualifiers.

Broncos signed third-round WR Carlos Henderson to a four-year contract.

The Broncos now have all of their draft picks under contract. The Louisiana Tech alum will look to carve a role behind top wideouts Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders as a rookie. Henderson came in as the No. 7 wide receiver in Evan Silva's dynasty rookie rankings earlier this month.

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said he's been pleased with first-round RB Leonard Fournette's pass-catching at OTAs.

Fournette wasn't asked to catch many passes at LSU (41 catches for 526 yards in three seasons) but he seemed comfortable as a receiver at the Combine and his Pro Day and has kept up the good work at OTAs. Beat reporter Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union only saw Fournette drop one pass during Friday's practice. If Fournette continues to progress as a pass-catcher, he should develop into an every-down back.
