On NFL Live Wednesday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen suggested benched QB Josh Freeman's trade value is zilch.

"They would probably take anything for him at this point," Mortensen stated. In addition to poor performance, Freeman carries a fully guaranteed $8.43 million base salary that any team would have to take on if they acquired him via trade. That's barring an in-season restructure/extension, which would seem awfully unlikely. This year's NFL trade deadline is October 29.

Julius Thomas (ankle) is inactive for Week 12 against the Dolphins.

Nov 23 - 2:55 PM

Lamar Miller (knee, shoulder) is active for Week 12 against the Broncos.

Miller's mid-week knee issue amounted to little more than a scare, though a normal workload can't be considered an article of faith. With a tough matchup, Miller is a low-end RB2. Damien Williams and Daniel Thomas should both get work. Inactive for the Dolphins are CB Cortland Finnegan, CB Jalil Brown, WR Charles Clay, LB Jonathan Freeny, OT Nate Garner, DT Anthony Johnson and OG Billy Turner.
Nov 23 - 2:54 PM

Larry Fitzgerald (knee) will not play in Sunday's Week 12 game at Seattle.

Fighting a Grade 2 MCL sprain, Fitzgerald just isn't quite ready. Considering he was a true game-time call, we suspect he'll be ready for a nice Week 13 matchup against the Falcons. John Brown, the exact kind of receiver that gives the Legion of Boom problems, will start opposite Michael Floyd.
Nov 23 - 1:43 PM

Colts RB Dan "Boom" Herron was announced with the starters against the Jaguars Week 12.

Trent Richardson had been dealing with an illness early in the week, but he got in a full practice on Thursday and Friday. Richardson could still start and see the most touches, but Herron appears set to play a big role either way. Richardson is averaging 3.4 yards per carry this season.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports Julius Thomas (ankle) is "gonna be out" against the Dolphins.

The Denver Post has since confirmed Glazer's report. It means Jacob Tamme will get the start, and be a plug-and-play TE1 for Thomas owners in a bind. Per Glazer, the Broncos don't believe Thomas' injury is "very serious," but they're sending his X-rays to a specialist. Thomas has a long history of ankle issues. His status can't be taken for granted for Week 13.
Nov 23 - 12:54 PM

According to FOX's Jay Glazer, Doug Martin will start Sunday's Week 12 game against the Bears.

Martin, Charles Sims and Bobby Rainey are all active. Mike James was a healthy scratch. It's interesting that Martin, coming off an ankle injury, will grab the start considering how ineffective he's been of late. That said, he fits as an early-down back complemented by Sims who can catch passes and change the pace. Ideally, it's a backfield to avoid Sunday -- we could very well see an even split.
Nov 23 - 12:53 PM

After speaking with Browns coach Mike Pettine Sunday morning, FOX's Jay Glazer refutes a report that Josh Gordon will be limited to 20-30 snaps in Sunday's game at Atlanta.

Gordon showed up to work this week in far better shape than the Browns expected and "really improved" as practices went on. So although the original plan was 20-30 snaps, we could see last year's leading receiver on the field for way more than that. "We have the full gamut in store for him," Glazer relayed from Pettine. They'll check in with Gordon at halftime and see how he feels. "As long as he can deal with the pounding, we are going to run him and run him and run him." Gordon should be in all season-long lineups.
Nov 23 - 12:27 PM

ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirmed Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) suffered no setbacks ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Listed as probable, Sanders is ready to rock just seven days after a jarring hit from Rams FS Rodney McLeod. He can comfortably be fired up as a WR1.
Nov 23 - 12:02 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on Sunday NFL Countdown that Dan "Boom" Herron is a guy to watch "today and moving forward" in the Colts' backfield.

Herron was a preseson darling, rushing for 112 yards on 22 carries and catching 11 passes for 55 yards and one touchdown. He's a downhill, north-south runner. The Colts see the writing on the wall with Trent Richardson; he doesn't hit the hole hard and sometimes doesn't even see the gaping holes in the running game. Richardson will get the first carries Sunday against the Jaguars, but it may not be long before we see Herron. He's a worthy add for the stretch run.

Sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Robert Griffin III will be on a short leash in Sunday's Week 12 game at San Francisco.

The Redskins dysfunction continues. Taking over as "Raiders East," they're now leaking that they could yank RG3 in favor of Colt McCoy -- either during Sunday's game or ahead of Week 13. Head coach Jay Gruden sharply criticized Griffin's fundamentals this week and even said the 2012 No. 2 overall pick has been "coddled." The Redskins, 0-2 since RG3 returned from a dislocated ankle, are 9.5-point underdogs Sunday. There's a disconnect between Gruden, who clearly wants a new franchise quarterback, and the front office.

Arian Foster is inactive for Week 12 against the Bengals.

Alfred Blue gets the start in place of Foster. For the second straight week, Blue is a candidate for a lot of volume in a plus matchup. The Texans' Week 12 inactives, in addition to Foster, are CB Kareem Jackson, QB Tom Savage, WR DeVier Posey, S Josh Aubrey, LB Max Bullough, and T Jeff Adams.
