Bengals promoted LB J.K. Schaffer from the practice squad.

Hard Knocks star DE DeQuin Evans was waived in a corresponding roster move. Schaffer provides linebacker depth with MLB Rey Maualuga (MCL) expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss reports Jonas Gray was not permitted to practice on Friday because he showed up late to the Patriots' facility.

Uh oh. The Patriots are a zero-tolerance team when it comes to matters like this, and for as great as Gray was in fantasy football last week, he is a replaceable player. That is especially the case after New England signed LeGarrette Blount to a two-year deal on Thursday. Gray's usage for Week 12 against the Lions is now entirely uncertain. Blount could steal his role.

Julius Thomas (ankle, questionable) is expected to be a game-day decision in Week 12.

Thomas "appeared a limited participant" in Friday's practice. "If I can go, I will go," Thomas said Thursday. Our guess at this stage of the week is that Orange Julius will be held out, but that's pure speculation. Ultimately, the Broncos are unlikely to decide on Thomas' availability until a few hours before kickoff. Broncos-Dolphins has 4:25PM ET start, creating a trick situation in fantasy football. Thomas owners would be smart to grab Jacob Tamme.

According to the Denver Post, "all signs point toward" Emmanuel Sanders playing Sunday versus Miami.

He's officially listed as probable. Sanders returned to practice Friday and has cleared all of the necessary hurdles the NFL has designed for players coming off concussions. Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell can be safely dropped if they were added as speculative stashes in fantasy leagues. The status of Julius Thomas (ankle) is expected to come down to a game-time decision. Sanders could get more targets if Thomas doesn't play.

ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon reports Jordan Cameron (concussion) will not play in Week 12 at Atlanta.

The good news is he practiced and is making progress. The bad news is the few fantasy owners who've continued to roster Cameron through his injury-plagued year will not have him available in a favorable matchup. Cameron does seem to be on track to return for Week 13, although that's not a guarantee. We'll have several updates on his chances of playing next week.
Nov 21 - 1:28 PM

Larry Fitzgerald (knee) missed his third straight practice Friday.

As expected. Fitzgerald is dealing with a relatively severe MCL sprain and will try to play Sunday, although there's a very good chance he'd be doing so at significantly less than 100 percent. He's someone to avoid in fantasy.
Nov 21 - 1:23 PM

Dwayne Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Jaguars.

As expected. Coby Fleener will get the start and be an every-down player in place of Allen. He's a plug-and-play TE1 against Jacksonville's bottom-third defense.
Nov 21 - 12:59 PM

Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 12 against the 49ers.

Niles Paul will get the start and handle pass-catching duties with fellow TE Logan Paulsen chipping in as a blocker. Paul is a dart-throw TE2 at a position lacking any sort of depth behind Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, and Antonio Gates.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner expects a 65:35 split favoring Jeremy Hill in the Bengals backfield Week 12 against the Texans.

Sounds about right. Hill has severely outplayed Bernard this season, averaging 5.73 YPC in his three starts compared to 4.09 for Gio. Earlier this week, OC Hue Jackson hinted at easing Bernard back into the mix after his three-game absence. Bernard also worked with the receivers last week, suggesting he'll be featured more as a pass-catcher out of the backfield while Hill hammers it between the tackles. Hill is a strong RB2 with RB1 upside. Bernard is merely a FLEX.

Derek Carr completed 18-of-35 passes for 174 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 24-20, Week 12 win over the Chiefs.

In a scene that evoked the 0-13 2007 Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Ravens, the Raiders threw everything they had at the Chiefs, and escaped with the narrowest of victories. Carr added two critical quarterback sneaks for first downs on the Raiders' game-winning drive. He found James Jones in the back of the end zone for his lone score with 1:42 remaining. Carr could hardly be described as "good" this evening — he averaged 4.97 yards per pass attempt — but avoided big mistakes, and generally kept the Raiders out of 3rd-and-longs. Carr's play has stagnated in recent weeks. He's going to be in for a very long afternoon against the Rams' defense in St. Louis in Week 13.
Nov 20 - 11:46 PM

Latavius Murray was forced from Oakland's Week 12 game against the Chiefs with a concussion, and will not return.

What a shame. Finally unleashed behind finished veterans Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew, Murray rushed four times for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He notched scores of 11 and 90 yards, using vicious cutbacks to break free on both runs. The second was the longest play by any player in the NFL this season. Murray took a helmet-to-helmet hit on his fourth rush, however, and was obviously woozy. If there's good news, it's that he has 10 days to get healthy for next week's game against the Rams. It's safe to assume Murray will be the Raiders' new starter when healthy. Following his 90-yard score, Murray's 107 yards on the evening represented 14.4 percent of the Raiders' season total.

The Bills and Jets' Week 12 game will be played at 7ET Monday evening in Detroit.

It's the second time in five years Detroit has hosted wayward snow travelers, as the Vikings and Giants squared off in Motown on Dec. 13, 2010. It's the most-fair solution, as playing in MetLife Stadium would have been an unfair advantage for the Jets in a game the Bills have to win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Aside from the change of venue, the change of schedule has no fantasy ramifications. All points will count for Week 12 as normal.
