Patriots placed RT Sebastian Vollmer on injured reserve with a broken right leg, ending his season.

It's a huge blow for the Pats, as their offensive line had been one of the few areas of the team not racked by injury. Vollmer was playing some of the best football of his career, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 2 right tackle. He'll be replaced by third-year G/C Marcus Cannon. Signed through 2016, Vollmer will be back as the Patriots' right tackle next season, but the injury costs him a $1 million roster bonus. Vollmer is also losing out on playing-time incentives.

Michael Crabtree (ankle) is active for Week 13 against the Bills.

Latavius Murray (ankle) is also active after both players were listed questionable. It's the same routine as last week. With Bills LCB Ronald Darby (concussion) out, Crabtree gets a boost against rookie CB Kevon Seymour.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is active for Week 13 against the Raiders.

Marquise Goodwin (wrist) is also active after both players were listed questionable. They figure to be the Bills' top two receivers in this one with Percy Harvin (illness) and Robert Woods (knee) out. Watkins is a WR2.
Dec 4 - 2:36 PM

Charles Clay will not play Week 13 against the Raiders due to the expected birth of his child.

Clay did not travel with the team to Oakland on Saturday, and it does not look like he will make the trip on his own. Clay has not contributed much this year, but the Bills are dangerously short of pass catchers. Sammy Watkins may be forced into more snaps than Buffalo would otherwise like to see.
Dec 4 - 2:13 PM

Lamar Miller (ribs) returned to the game late in the first quarter.

Miller went to the locker room to get his ribs examined and perhaps a little more padding after the first series. He has been used as the clear lead back since returning.

CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson reports Texans QB Tom Savage is in the hospital with an infection on his throwing elbow.

Savage is obviously inactive, leaving Brandon Weeden to back up Brock Osweiler in Green Bay. It was reported Savage had an infection earlier Sunday morning, but the location and severity were not known. This report raises questions about Savage's availability moving forward. There were rumblings Savage could take over for Osweiler if the starter continued to struggle. Osweiler is unlikely to be benched if Weeden is the only other option.

The Boston Herald reports Julian Edelman's oft-troublesome foot has "progressed to the point where (the Patriots) would like it to be."

Howe added, "Don't be surprised if he starts to take off down the stretch," meaning have a big finish. The Patriots certainly need a big finish from Edelman after losing Rob Gronkowski for the season. Edelman's foot has been managed, never turning in full practices and sometimes taking practices off entirely. He has played in every game this season and has showed improved chemistry with Tom Brady in recent weeks. Edelman is now an every-week fantasy WR1.

The Eagles plan to feature Wendell Smallwood Sunday at Cincinnati.

They also planned to feature Smallwood in last week's loss to Green Bay, but fell behind and resorted to a lot of Darren Sproles. Smallwood isn't fully trusted in pass protection, so he won't be featured in the passing game, but is expected to be Philly's primary ball carrier. He's just a flex option.
Dec 4 - 11:41 AM

Mark Ingram (toe) is active for Week 13 against the Lions.

Ingram seemed genuinely questionable for a time this week, but is ready to split work with Tim Hightower. Ingram absolutely tore it up in last week's romp over the Rams, but it's fair to wonder how often he'll get the ball at less than 100 percent. Our guess is that Hightower will probably win the touch war, making him the slightly better fantasy play. Ingram is on the RB2 borderline for Week 13. Inactive for the Saints are WR Jake Lampman, CB De'Vante Harris, RB Marcus Murphy, LT Terron Armstead, RB Daniel Lasco, OL Landon Turner and LB Sam Barrington.
Dec 4 - 11:39 AM

Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) is active for Week 13 against the Rams.

Tom Brady (knee), Julian Edelman (foot), and Chris Hogan (back) are also active. With Rob Gronkowski done for the season, Bennett is a plug-and-play TE1 the rest of the way. He and Edelman should hog targets.
Dec 4 - 11:38 AM

Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) is officially active for Week 13 against the Texans.

There was never much doubt about his availability, but it is possible Rodgers' mobility is limited. Even so, he is a high-end QB1. Green Bay declared RG T.J. Lang (foot), ILB Blake Martinez (knee), C J.C. Tretter (knee), LB Kyler Fackrell (hamstring), WR Trevor Davis, CB Makinton Dorleant, and DL Christian Ringo inactive for Week 13.
Dec 4 - 11:33 AM

Lions WR Marvin Jones (thigh) is inactive for Week 13 against the Saints.

Andre Roberts will slide into three-receiver sets, but it's Anquan Boldin and Eric Ebron who should see the biggest benefit. Also inactive for the Lions are LB DeAndre Levy, LB Tahir Whitehead, OL Joe Dahl, OT Cornelius Lucas, QB Jake Rudock and S Don Carey. Jones should be back in Week 14.
