Seahawks activated LT Russell Okung (foot) from injured reserve/designated to return.

Okung has been practicing the last two weeks, but wasn't eligible to return until Week 11. He'll be an immediate upgrade over fill-in LT Paul McQuistan. The Seahawks are also expected to get back C Max Unger (concussion) and RT Breno Giacomini (knee) for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Suspended Raiders OLB Aldon Smith met with commissioner Roger Goodell on Friday to discuss his reinstatement.

The NFL was expected to make a ruling on Smith's reinstatement last week but obviously that didn't happen. After finally getting a face-to-face with Goodell, Smith's status should be determined in relatively short order. Smith has been serving an indefinite suspension following repeated violations of the league's substance abuse policy. The former first-team All-Pro hasn't played an NFL snap in over a year.
Dec 9 - 3:30 PM

Mark Ingram (toe, knee) returned to practice on Friday.

That puts him on track to play Sunday against Tampa Bay. Ingram has had some big weeks recently, but his usage remains somewhat of a guessing game. Last week he was out-snapped by Travaris Cadet. Ingram will be a risky RB2 against a Bucs' defense that has performed much better recently.
Dec 9 - 3:12 PM

Michael Thomas (foot) returned to Saints practice on Friday.

It looks like the Saints just gave Thomas the last two practices off. It would be a surprise if he did not start Sunday at Tampa Bay. Thomas has emerged as the Saints' best wideout as rookie, leading the team in all receiving categories.
Dec 9 - 3:01 PM

Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 14.

The Cards will stay with Tyvon Branch at slot corner, where he has been terrific this year and arguably even better than Mathieu, whose play has declined due to a multitude of injuries. Mathieu remains out indefinitely. Despite this news, we would not upgrade Jarvis Landry's matchup because he'll now face Branch.
Dec 9 - 2:40 PM

Saints SS Kenny Vaccaro has dropped the appeal of his four-game PEDs ban and will be out for Weeks 14-17.

Vaccaro's absence improves the fantasy matchup for Cameron Brate, who will take on the Saints in both Weeks 14 and 16. Barring an unlikely playoff berth by the Saints, Vaccaro's season is over. Vaccaro was inconsistent his first three years in the league, but his level of play rose immensely as a fourth-year pro. The Saints have him under contract for one more year at $5.68 million.
Dec 9 - 2:34 PM

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak remained noncommittal Friday when asked about Trevor Siemian's (foot, questionable) Week 14 availability.

Beat writers have sounded optimistic about Siemian's chances of facing the Titans, but Kubiak said he wouldn't have a firm decision until he watches Siemian in Saturday's walkthrough. Kubiak said Friday that Siemian's status would be decided "tomorrow." If Paxton Lynch has to make another start, the fantasy outlooks for Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders would both take a hit.
Dec 9 - 2:29 PM

Jordan Matthews (ankle, questionable) said he will "definitely" play in Week 14 against the Redskins.

Matthews has practiced fully the last two days and should be all set to resume his role as the Eagles' primary slot receiver. Last week marked the first absence of J-Matt's three-year career. Fantasy owners should view him as a WR3 this week.
Dec 9 - 2:28 PM

49ers LT Joe Staley (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 14 against the Jets.

This takes a bit of air out of Colin Kaepernick's bounce-back balloon, and is a concern for Carlos Hyde as well. While Staley has struggled at times in pass protection this year, he has remained one of the NFL's premier run-blocking left tackles. Staley has started in 92 straight games for the Niners.
Dec 9 - 2:25 PM

ESPN's David Newton reports Luke Kuechly (concussion) is expected to return in Week 14 against the Chargers.

Per Newton, Kuechly will return to the starting lineup "barring a last-second setback." Kuechly returned to a limited practice on Wednesday and was upgraded to full on Friday. Fill-in A.J. Klein will head back to the bench upon Kuechly's return.

D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweeted Friday that he is not anticipating Julio Jones (toe, questionable) will play in Week 14 against the Rams.

This is just a beat writer guess, but reinforces that Julio is no lock to be active against the Rams after he did little to nothing during the practice week. Officially, Jones was listed as "DNP" all three days. Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that he "anticipates" Julio playing, but that may be mere coachspeak. If Julio is indeed active, he will be a boom-bust WR1. It's a very tough situation in the fantasy playoffs because Falcons-Rams doesn't kick off until 4:25 PM ET.
Dec 9 - 1:59 PM

Jordan Reed (shoulder) is questionable for Week 14 against the Eagles.

He was reportedly in pain at Thursday's practice but was back out there on Friday and has a reasonable chance to play on Sunday after missing last week's game with a sprained AC joint. Reed will be a must-start if he gets the green light. Washington plays at 1 PM ET on Sunday.
