Wes Welker (concussion) did not participate in Tuesday's practice.

All signs point toward Welker sitting out against the Chargers on Thursday. He'll likely be officially ruled out on Wednesday.

Carson Palmer is hopeful he can return from his broken left arm in 4-6 weeks.

He's going for a second opinion on Monday. Palmer's initial timeline was eight weeks, so 4-6 weeks would be a significant improvement. The injury is to Palmer's left (non-throwing) arm, perhaps giving him a better shot at a sooner-than-expected return. The Cardinals insist they will be riding with Drew Stanton in the meantime. We would humbly suggest they give Blaine Gabbert a longer look.

Chargers LG Matt Slauson is done for the year with a torn biceps.

The Bolts will turn to third-round rookie Dan Feeney to replace him. Slauson was run blocking poorly, so this won't necessarily be a downgrade to Melvin Gordon's outlook, although Gordon has struggled mightily to run between the tackles this year. Gordon has gotten by as a fantasy RB1 on sheer volume and receiving skills.

Saints RG Larry Warford will miss "several games" with an abdominal injury.

One of New Orleans' few weak links up front, Warford graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 61 run-blocking guard among 77 qualifiers in the first six games. The Saints are armed with strong enough offensive line depth to withstand his loss.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Monday that Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has a chance to return in Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Joseph called Sanders "day to day." The Broncos have dropped two straight games since their Week 5 bye and need all reinforcements on deck for a huge Week 8 divisional bout with Kansas City. Sanders' availability will likely depend upon how he looks in practice leading up to the game.

Coach Vance Joseph confirmed Monday the Broncos are staying with Trevor Siemian at quarterback.

"Absolutely, he's our quarterback," said Joseph. "He can't play well if he's not being protected." Siemian has absorbed at least four sacks in three straight games and 4-of-6 starts this season. He's thrown two touchdown passes since Week 2. Despite all of that, Siemian remains the Broncos' best option with only Brock Osweiler and injured draft bust Paxton Lynch behind him.

Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) is expected to resume practicing next Monday.

Davis hasn't played since Week 2, but ESPN's Cameron Wolfe believes he has a good shot at returning for Week 9 against the Ravens. The Titans haven't been getting much behind Rishard Matthews at receiver. Davis would provide some badly needed play-making ability.

DeMarco Murray suffered a bruised shoulder in Sunday's win over the Browns.

It's considered minor. Speaking Monday, coach Mike Mularkey also said Murray escaped without setbacks with his balky hamstring. Murray has been ceding tons of work to Derrick Henry, but has stubbornly held onto lead duties in the Titans' backfield. He'll be an RB2 for Week 9 against the Ravens.
Oct 23 - 3:04 PM

Delanie Walker (ankle) has been diagnosed with a bone bruise.

Coach Mike Mularkey said it was good news. It's a pain tolerance issue. Walker has routinely played at less than 100 percent, so it shouldn't keep him out, especially since he has the Titans' Week 8 bye to heal up.
Oct 23 - 3:03 PM

Browns LT Joe Thomas (torn triceps, injured reserve) will undergo surgery on Tuesday, and be sidelined 6-9 months.

Speaking Monday, coach Hue Jackson said he was hopeful Thomas would return for 2018. Thomas is due $8.8 million in the final year of his contract. For his part, Thomas wasn't ready to think that far ahead. "Am I done playing?," Thomas asked rhetorically. "I don’t know. I think that’s a decision that’s best talked about in the offseason." Thomas turns 33 in December.

Browns coach Hue Jackson is holding off on naming his Week 8 starter at quarterback.

Jackson said each of Cody Kessler, DeShone Kizer and Kevin Hogan are a possibility. Our money is on Kessler, though it's possible the Browns give Kizer one last chance under center. With the season already torpedoed at 0-7, Jackson doesn't have much to lose.

The Miami Herald reports DeVante Parker will test his injured ankle on Tuesday ahead of Thursday Night Football.

It sounds like Tuesday will determine if Parker plays against the Ravens or misses his third straight game. The Miami Herald reported earlier Monday the Dolphins backed off Parker late last week in an effort to get him healthier. Kenny Stills has been picking up the slack in Parker's absence.
