Steelers signed LB Vic So'oto and RB Tauren Poole to reserve/future contracts.

So'oto appeared in one game for the Cardinals this season after appearing in five between the Packers and Raiders in 2012. He'll fight for a spot on special teams, but is unlikely to crack the Steelers' 53-man roster.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said sophomore WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') will be a full-go for OTAs.

Just last month Gruden said Doctson would be moved slowly through OTAs, so this is a promising development. It is not a surprise, however, considering CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay recently reported Doctson "has looked quick and healthy this offseason." Even with Terrelle Pryor in the fold, Doctson has an opportunity to earn a big role this year if he can stay healthy.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer (eye surgery) will not attend OTAs.

Zimmer recently underwent the eighth surgery on his right eye. "Coach Zimmer will be taking time away from the team to dedicate to recovering from eye surgery and restoring his health," the Vikings said in a statement. "We all agree Mike's health is the priority and we believe rest and recovery are in his best interest for the long term." The Vikings expect Zimmer to return "in a few weeks."

Redskins president Bruce Allen said the July 15 deadline for a long-term deal is "the driving point" in negotiations with franchise-tagged QB Kirk Cousins.

Allen said the team has maintained "constant dialogue" with Cousins' camp and he is "still optimistic" something will get done. That optimism seems unsupported by the facts on the ground, but Allen is right that deadlines drive action. Perhaps the Redskins and Cousins will surprise us this summer.

ESPN's Rich Cimini reports free agent CB Darrelle Revis will not face any league discipline stemming from an incident in Pittsburgh earlier this year.

Revis was initially charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor after a street fight in February, but those charges were dropped in March. The NFL reportedly continued their own investigation after the legal matter was resolved, but they also found no wrongdoing. Even with the possibility of suspension no longer hanging over his head, Revis has not gotten a sniff of interest in the last month.

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini spoke to a scout who was "taken aback" by how many "off-target" passes Christian Hackenberg threw in pregame warmups last season.

Hackenberg didn't see the field as a rookie, telling given his second-round draft status and the miserable play of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bryce Petty. The Jets are having an open competition at quarterback, but Hackenberg is a long shot to overtake Josh McCown and Petty. New York's decision to draft Hackenberg 51st overall was one of the worst picks in recent memory.

CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay reports 2016 first-round WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') "has looked quick and healthy this offseason."

Doctson missed most of the offseason program and training camp last year with a mysterious Achilles' injury before landing on injured reserve after two games. Even after signing Terrelle Pryor, Washington needs much more from Doctson this season to help replace DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. If he can stay healthy, Doctson should push for 100 targets and be a big factor in the red zone.

NFL Network's James Palmer reports "some people" within the Jaguars believe Branden Albert will show up for OTAs on Tuesday.

Albert skipped voluntary work and had gone radio silent in hopes of landing a sweetened deal from his new team, but he reportedly texted coach Doug Marrone on Friday. Palmer says the two sides plan to talk over the next couple days. It looks like Albert will be an option for Jacksonville this season, but he will face competition from second-rounder Cam Robinson at left tackle. The loser will likely end up at left guard.

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff said he is "confident" the organization will work out a long-term extension with walk-year RB Devonta Freeman.

"Like I've said before, we want him here and he's a very important part of our organization," Dimitroff said on SiriusXM's Schein on Sports. "We're ready in the relatively near future to have some discussions with their representation." Freeman recently told ESPN's Josina Anderson he wants "elite" running back money, but that apparently has not discouraged the general manager. Dimitroff previously identified training camp as the likely timeframe for a deal to be struck.

Broncos.com's Andrew Mason said the organization is "very high on what (TE A.J) Derby can do."

The Broncos took a shot on Michigan's Jake Butt in the fifth-round of this year's draft, but the rookie will be out until at least August recovering from a torn ACL. Even when Butt returns, Mason notes he is a different tight end that Derby, who is more of a glorified slot receiver than an in-line option. Considering how much the Chargers utilized tight ends under new OC Mike McCoy, there should be room for both even when Butt is healthy and ready to contribute.

ESPN's John Keim thinks there is less than a 50-percent chance walk-year QB Kirk Cousins signs a long-term deal with the Redskins before the season.

It is not a surprising belief considering neither side has expressed optimism and coach Jay Gruden recently dodged the question entirely, saying, "I know he’s gonna be here this season, and that’s all I care about." Perhaps something changes if Washington is able to put together a playoff run, but right now the two sides seem headed toward a divorce next spring.

Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman recently underwent core muscle surgery.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Inman will be out six weeks, a timeline which will keep him from participating during the rest of the offseason program but have him ready for training camp. Inman caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four touchdowns last season, but he projects as no better than No. 5 on the depth chart this year if everyone stays healthy.
