USA Today's Tom Pelissero passes along Combine "buzz" that free agent DE Michael Johnson could head to the Vikings.

The dots connect, as ex-Bengals DC Mike Zimmer is now the Vikings' head coach, and Minnesota is needy on the defensive line with Jared Allen a virtual lock to leave in free agency. Johnson just turned 27, and is a solid pass rusher with plus run-defending skills. Minnesota is $28.8 million under the cap.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports D'Onta Foreman suffered a torn Achilles' Week 11 against the Cardinals.

Nov 19 - 5:02 PM

Doug Martin rushed 19 times for 38 yards while catching two passes for six yards in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Dolphins.

In an outstanding with perfect game script, Martin was once again nondescript on Sunday. He continually found little running room, but with the Buccaneers staked to an early 20-7 lead, managed to stack volume. The volume has regularly been there for Martin, but he's been a black hole of opportunity for fantasy purposes. After rushing for 5.7 yards per carry in his first game of the season, Martin has carried 99 times for 269 yards (2.7 YPC) over his past six games. While backs with his touch floor are in few supply for fantasy, Martin cannot be counted on as more than a low-end RB2/flex option next week versus Atlanta.
Nov 19 - 4:54 PM

Redskins RB Chris Thompson has been diagnosed with a broken right fibula and requires season-ending surgery.

Brutal, though it was the expected outcome after Thompson got rolled up in ugly fashion at the Superdome on Sunday. It ends a breakout campaign for a player who entered Week 11 leading the Redskins in both rushing and receiving. Thompson had been Kirk Cousins' most trusted target. Now the Redskins are left with Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall at quarterback. Perine will bang between the tackles while Marshall will try to catch some passes. Long viewed as "injury prone," 27-year-old Thompson will be a free agent in March. His market will be tough to predict.

DeShone Kizer completed 16-of-32 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Browns' 19-7, Week 11 loss to the Jaguars.

Kizer also lost two fumbles, the second of which the Jaguars housed for a game-sealing score. The first should have also been housed, but referee Pete Morelli's crew made an awful call, blowing the play dead. Kizer was truly, truly dreadful, air mailing passes — including both his intercetions — while showing close to zero pocket awareness. It's what he's done all season, but coach Hue Jackson said afterward he will stick with Kizer for Week 12. Be sure to tee up the Chargers' defense against the Browns.
Nov 19 - 4:37 PM

Adrian Peterson rushed 14 times for 26 yards and caught his only target for 13 yards in the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the Texans.

Pederson opened the game with 13 yards on his first two carries, but he had nowhere to go after that, routinely getting hit deep in the backfield. He was also stuffed on a pivotal fourth-and-one in the fourth quarter which all but ended the game. After going for 159 yards against the 49ers, Peterson has had nowhere to go the last two games, and things are not going to get any better next week against the Jaguars. He will be just a volume-based RB3/FLEX in that matchup.
Nov 19 - 4:36 PM

Kirk Cousins completed 22-of-32 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns in the Redskins' 34-31, Week 11 overtime loss to the Saints.

Cousins played a nearly perfect game, finding his receivers in space, giving them chances to win 1-on-1s and delivering huge throws in the face of pressure. The Redskins' defense, on the other hand, suffered an incomprehensible meltdown, blowing a 31-16 lead with 5:58 remaining. The Saints' offense became a freight train against the Redskins' soft coverage. Cousins committed a late intentional grounding, but was more or less blameless in the debacle. The biggest news for Cousins today was the loss of Chris Thompson for the season. He has been Cousins' most effective pass catcher all year. Cousins will still be a high-end QB1 for Thanksgiving night against the Giants.
Nov 19 - 4:34 PM

Latavius Murray rushed 15 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 24-7, Week 11 win over the Rams.

Murray looks to be taking hold of this Minnesota backfield; he has scored three touchdowns in the past two weeks and is getting all of the goal-line work, scoring two more times from inside the 10-yard line in this one. The first was straight up the gut from eight yards out and the other a two-yard plunge. Jerick McKinnon still got 19 touches, but his upside has been capped a bit with Murray getting the scoring carries. Murray will be an RB2 on Thanksgiving Day at the Lions.
Nov 19 - 4:28 PM

Larry Fitzgerald hauled in 9-of-10 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the Texans.

Fitzgerald came out of the gate hot, catching three passes for 23 yards on the opening drive, and he kept things going with a big third-down conversion and a nice 20-yard touchdown grab amid tight coverage in the second quarter. He slowed down after the break as Blaine Gabbert faltered, but he still finished with yet another good fantasy line. He will face a tougher test next week against the Jaguars, but he will still be in the WR3 conversation in that matchup.
Nov 19 - 4:26 PM

Blaine Gabbert completed 22-of-34 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the Texans.

It did not result in any points, but Gabbert played well early in this game, making a few tight-window throws in big situations including a great third-down conversion to Larry Fitzgerald in the second quarter. Following a Tom Savage fumble, Gabbert finally converted on his performance, hitting Fitzgerald with a great touch pass for a 20-yard touchdown. Following a Savage interception, Gabbert found rookie TE Ricky Seals-Jones for another score just before halftime, and he hit the rookie again for a touchdown to get back the lead late in the third quarter. Things went downhill from there, however, as Gabbert threw two interceptions with the game still in doubt in the fourth quarter. Despite those interceptions, Gabbert moved the offense better than Drew Stanton has to this point. Arizona should give him another chance to start next week against the Jaguars.
Nov 19 - 4:23 PM

Kelvin Benjamin exited Week 11 against the Chargers with an apparent knee injury.

He left the field after making a 20-yard catch on the opening drive. Benjamin made a visit to the injury tent on the sideline before being loaded onto a cart and taken to the locker room. It looked like his right knee. Benjamin's 2015 torn ACL was in his left knee. Zay Jones is again the No. 1 receiver.
Nov 19 - 4:19 PM

Tom Savage completed 22-of-32 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Texans' Week 11 win over the Cardinals.

Savage started the game well, completing his first six passes for 50 yards and a nice touchdown pass on the move to Lamar Miller. The bad Savage came out after that, however, as he was strip-sacked to help set up Arizona's first score and threw an interception a couple drives later, although the pick was not really his fault. Savage got back on the right track by hitting DeAndre Hopkins for a 28-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, and he made a great play to escape pressure and find Stephen Anderson for a 22-yard gain which set up a go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth. The Texans never relinquished the lead after that. Savage was not great on Sunday, but he did enough to keep his job another week.
