Notre Dame DE Stephon Tuitt will not participate in Combine drills due to a "Jones" fracture in his left foot.

The injury was revealed during a Combine scan. Tuitt is expected to undergo foot surgery "in about a week," with a recovery timetable of 6-8 weeks. NFL Network's Bucky Brooks ranks Tuitt as this year's No. 2 defensive end, behind only Jadeveon Clowney. Tuitt still may schedule a pre-draft Pro Day sometime in late April or early May. He is a projected top-50 overall prospect.

Eagles LT Jason Peters was carted off Week 7 against the Redskins with a right knee injury.

His knee got hit from the outside and bent inward in a gruesome way. He writhed on the field in pain before trainers had to fit him for an air cast and eventually cart him off the field. It's almost surely a season-ending injury for the 35-year-old. Halapoulivaati Vaitai has replaced Peters at left tackle.

Free agent DE Dwight Freeney is visiting the Seahawks.

Seattle is dripping with pass-rush talent, from Michael Bennett to Frank Clark to Sheldon Richardson and even former Eagles first-round bust Marcus Smith, so this could be more of a look-see and checkup on a veteran. Now 37, Freeney was still productive on limited snaps with the Falcons in 2016.

Eagles MLB Jordan Hicks was carted off Week 7 against the Redskins with an ankle injury.

Hicks came into the game questionable with a calf injury but made the start and was injured on the second play of the game while trying to cover Vernon Davis. He had to be carried off the field and then carted to the locker room. Nigel Bradham slid to middle linebacker with Najee Goode playing WILL.

Wendell Smallwood (knee) is active for Week 7 against the Redskins.

He's back after missing the previous two games. LeGarrette Blount has settled in as the Eagles' lead back on early downs, but this backfield is always open for change. Smallwood can't be trusted as a fantasy starter Monday night, but he should mix in on pass downs. Inactive for the Eagles are LB Mychal Kendricks, CB Ronald Darby, WR Shelton Gibson, DT Justin Hamilton, OG Chance Warmack, DT Elijah Qualls, and DE Steven Means.
Oct 23 - 7:12 PM

Rob Kelley (ankle) is active for Week 7 against the Eagles.

LT Trent Williams and CB Bashaud Breeland are also both active for Monday night after all three were listed as questionable. Kelley is expected to get the start, but he's a low-floor, low-upside RB3. Inactive for the Redskins are CB Josh Norman, OT Ty Nsekhe, S Deshazor Everett, LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, OG Tyler Catalina, TE Jeremy Sprinkle, and DL A.J. Francis.

NFL suspended Vikings FS Andrew Sendejo one game for violating the league's player safety rules.

Sendejo illegally hit Mike Wallace on Sunday, giving him a concussion. Sendejo was previously fined earlier this season for a big hit on Cameron Brate, so the suspension is next in line after a fine. Sendejo will probably appeal. For now, he's out for Week 8 in London against Cleveland. The Vikings then have a Week 9 bye before coming back stateside for a road date in Washington.

Carson Palmer is hopeful he can return from his broken left arm in 4-6 weeks.

He's going for a second opinion on Monday. Palmer's initial timeline was eight weeks, so 4-6 weeks would be a significant improvement. The injury is to Palmer's left (non-throwing) arm, perhaps giving him a better shot at a sooner-than-expected return. The Cardinals insist they will be riding with Drew Stanton in the meantime. We would humbly suggest they give Blaine Gabbert a longer look.

Chargers LG Matt Slauson is done for the year with a torn biceps.

The Bolts will turn to third-round rookie Dan Feeney to replace him. Slauson was run blocking poorly, so this won't necessarily be a downgrade to Melvin Gordon's outlook, although Gordon has struggled mightily to run between the tackles this year. Gordon has gotten by as a fantasy RB1 on sheer volume and receiving skills.

Saints RG Larry Warford will miss "several games" with an abdominal injury.

One of New Orleans' few weak links up front, Warford graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 61 run-blocking guard among 77 qualifiers in the first six games. The Saints are armed with strong enough offensive line depth to withstand his loss.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Monday that Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has a chance to return in Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Joseph called Sanders "day to day." The Broncos have dropped two straight games since their Week 5 bye and need all reinforcements on deck for a huge Week 8 divisional bout with Kansas City. Sanders' availability will likely depend upon how he looks in practice leading up to the game.
Oct 23 - 4:04 PM

Coach Vance Joseph confirmed Monday the Broncos are staying with Trevor Siemian at quarterback.

"Absolutely, he's our quarterback," said Joseph. "He can't play well if he's not being protected." Siemian has absorbed at least four sacks in three straight games and 4-of-6 starts this season. He's thrown two touchdown passes since Week 2. Despite all of that, Siemian remains the Broncos' best option with only Brock Osweiler and injured draft bust Paxton Lynch behind him.
