Panthers assigned the franchise tag to RE Greg Hardy.

The tag for defensive ends is expected to be worth nearly $13 million, taking up over two-thirds of Carolina's salary cap space. GM Dave Gettleman has always preferred a long-term deal with Hardy, which could significantly reduce his cost. Either way, the Panthers were never going to let Hardy hit the market, where he would've contended to become the richest non-quarterback in the NFL. A true sack specialist and dominant edge presence, Hardy is still only 25 years old. His sack total has increased in each of his NFL seasons, topping out at 15.0 in 2013 with 59 tackles and a forced fumble. He's an extremely valuable commodity.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Mark Ingram (toe) is expected to play Week 13 against the Lions.

Ingram was non-committal about his availability on Friday, but he did say the toe "felt good" during Friday's practice. Still, he could be forced into a more limited role because of the injury. Even in a good matchup, Ingram is a risky RB2 play. Tim Hightower deserves a look in the FLEX.
Dec 4 - 8:17 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports DeVante Parker (questionable, back) isn't expected to play in Week 13 against the Ravens.

Coach Adam Gase said he would "err on the side of caution" with Parker this week. Parker got in some side-work Friday and looks like he'll only miss one game. Jarvis Landry should see more targets with Parker out, with Kenny Stills and rookie Leonte Carroo playing bigger roles on the outside.
Dec 4 - 8:14 AM

Michael Crabtree (ankle, questionable) will play in Sunday's Week 13 game against the Bills.

So will Latavius Murray (ankle, questionable). Crabtree hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7 but recorded a season-high 110 yards in last week's win over Carolina. He'll be in the WR2 mix this week.
Dec 4 - 8:12 AM

Lions promoted WR T.J. Jones from their practice squad.

Lions beat writers expressed concern about Marvin Jones' health all week, and the activation of T.J. suggests the Lions also have concerns about Marvin's availability against the Saints. This will be a situation to monitor into Sunday morning. Per the Detroit Free Press, Marvin "moved cautiously while taking sporadic reps" in the portion of Friday's practice that was open to the media. Marvin is listed as questionable with a thigh injury.
Dec 3 - 5:33 PM

Patriots placed TE Rob Gronkowski (back surgery) on injured reserve.

The Patriots already designated a player to return, so he's done for the rest of the season/playoffs. Gronkowski underwent his third back surgery Friday but is expected to make a full recovery. He should be healthy for the start of 2017 OTAs.
Dec 3 - 4:15 PM

Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) practiced in full Saturday and will play Monday night against the Colts.

Marshall was not even listed on the final injury report despite coach Todd Bowles calling his status a "concern" on Friday. He will be a solid WR2 Monday night against the Colts.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Although he’s been disappointing over the last six games, averaging 4.2/50.8/0.17 line on 7.7 targets per game in that stretch, he managed a solid 6/67/1 performance against the Patriots last week. He's been the victim of poor quarterback play all season but Ryan Fitzpatrick played well against New England and Marshall immediately benefited. Their game with Indy could easily turn into a shootout; it has a two-point spread (Colts favored), a 48.5-point total, and both pass defenses are poor. Marshall will be shadowed by Vontae Davis, but Davis has a poor 49.1 PFF grade (that's partially due to injuries and he’s still hobbled up). Marshall is in a great spot on Monday night.
Dec 3 - 2:17 PM

Andrew Luck (concussion) was not listed on the final injury report and will play Monday night against the Jets.

Luck practiced in full again on Saturday. The fact he was left off the report entirely suggests he has passed through the concussion protocol. Luck will be a high-end QB1 against the Jets.
Dec 3 - 1:51 PM

T.Y. Hilton (back) is questionable for Week 13 against the Jets.

Hilton was able to practice in full Friday and Saturday, and Colts.com's Kevin Bowen reports he is expected to play. Hilton will be a back-end WR1 against the Jets on Monday night.
Dec 3 - 1:49 PM

Jadeveon Clowney (elbow, wrist) was downgraded to out for Week 13 against the Packers.

Clowney was originally listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis all week, but it looks like he did not even travel with the team to Green Bay. Already without J.J. Watt, losing Clowney is a big blow to the Texans defense, especially with Aaron Rodgers on the other side.
Dec 3 - 1:39 PM

Charles Clay (knee, questionable) did not travel with the team to Oakland because of the expected birth of his child.

Clay was listed as questionable with a knee injury as he has been most of the season, but it looks like he has a real chance to sit out this week because of the birth of his child. The Bills only said, "His game status remains questionable." Buffalo promoted TE Gerald Christian on Saturday, suggesting there is at least a chance Clay will sit, but he could certainly join his teammates in Oakland Saturday night or Sunday morning. Either way, he is not a viable fantasy play.
Dec 3 - 1:19 PM

Jeremy Maclin (groin) was downgraded to out for Week 13 against the Falcons.

Maclin appeared on track to return after practicing on a limited basis all week and being listed as questionable on Friday. He was clearly not ready to go coming out of a long injury layoff, however, and did not even make the trip to Atlanta. With Maclin out, Tyreek Hill should once again serve as the No. 1 receiver in a great matchup. He is a WR3 with a ton of upside.
