Rams re-signed exclusive rights free agents C Tim Barnes, WR Justin Veltung, and QB Austin Davis.

Barnes started the final four games of the season after C Scott Wells suffered a fractured fibula. He was pushed around in the run game and is merely a backup. Davis served as Kellen Clemens' backup after Sam Bradford tore his ACL.

Carson Palmer completed 29-of-48 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys on Monday night.

Dak Prescott completed 13-of-18 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 28-17, Week 3 win over the Cardinals on Monday night, adding a 16 yards rushing and a third touchdown.

Dallas barely possessed the ball in the first 20 minutes of game action, going three-and-out on its first two possessions while watching the Cardinals string together two exhausting offensive drives. Prescott went into the half with just 25 scoreless yards passing and the 10-yard rushing score. After the break, though, Prescott was a man on fire. He was making incredible throws, especially while on the move, hitting Brice Butler for a beautiful 37-yard score on the run. Butler later caught a 53-yard bomb from Prescott to set up an Ezekiel Elliott touchdown to seal the win. Prescott's other touchdown was a short score to Dez Bryant, who powered through half the Arizona defense on his way to the goal line. Prescott will be a mid-to-low QB1 next week at home against the Rams.

Larry Fitzgerald caught 13-of-15 targets for 149 yards and one touchdown in the Cardinals' 28-17, Week 3 loss to the Cowboys on Monday night.

The Cardinals' offense came out piping-hot in the first quarter. Carson Palmer was getting all the time in the world to throw, and Fitzgerald racked up seven grabs in the first quarter alone. He cooled a bit but then turned it all the way back up in the fourth quarter, winning a pair of 50-50 balls over the top of Orlando Scandrick for big gains and then capping off a drive with a 15-yard touchdown on a corner route against Anthony Brown. Fitzgerald and Dak Prescott were the best players on the field. Fitzgerald was real quiet in Weeks 1 and 2 but proved Monday he's a solid top-20 fantasy receiver. He gets the 49ers' rag-tag secondary at home in Week 4.

J.J. Nelson (hamstring) is active for Week 3 against the Cowboys.

Jermaine Gresham (ribs) is also active. Nelson was limited all week in practice but is ready to roll as the No. 2 receiver with John Brown (quad) still out.

Speaking Monday, coach Jack Del Rio said Amari Cooper has "got to find a way" to fix his issue with drops.

Drops are wildly overrated in the NFL, but sometimes they become very hard to ignore. Cooper has already been charged with six drops through three games, which is three more than any other receiver charted at Pro Football Focus. Cooper dropped four balls in the opener and has dropped one in each of the past two games. He has just 101 yards through three games and dropped only five balls all of last season. Cooper gets a tough matchup next week against Denver.

Coach Pete Carroll provided little update on Doug Baldwin (groin) Monday, saying the severity of the strain remains unclear.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the groin strain isn't believed to be serious, but Carroll and the team are still waiting for tests to come back. Baldwin was having a huge game against the Titans with a 10-105-1 line before leaving in the second half. Baldwin has a little extra time to get ready for Week 4, as the Seahawks host the Colts on Sunday night. We'll have plenty of updates.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Tyler Eifert will miss "multiple weeks" with a back injury.

The good news is he does not need surgery. The bad news is Eifert's back is acting up again after an injury cost him Weeks 16-17 last season, then he underwent surgery after the year. Tyler Kroft will take over as the Bengals' starting tight end. Eifert looks droppable in 12-team fantasy leagues.

Andrew Luck (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 4 at Seattle.

NFL Network reported on Sunday morning that Luck is targeting Week 6 for his return. On Monday, coach Chuck Pagano suggested Luck could resume practicing this week, but stopped short of full-on predicting it. Jacoby Brissett played well in Weeks 2-3 against the Cardinals and Browns, but he's entering a trouble spot at CenturyLink Field. Seattle's D/ST should be a popular Week 4 play.

Melvin Gordon reportedly has a "minor" bone bruise on his knee.

Gordon played a season-low 42 percent of the Chargers' Week 3 offensive snaps due to this injury. Gordon apparently suffered the injury in practice last week. Gordon's Week 4 status against the Eagles is uncertain. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says Gordon "wanted to go back in" to last week's loss to Kansas City.

The Bucs say WLB Lavonte David has a "medial" ankle sprain.

It beats a high ankle sprain, which would sideline David for at least a month. On Monday, coach Dirk Koetter said David's injury was "reevaluated," and after doing so the Bucs believe he's "week to week." We doubt he'll play in Week 4.
Sep 25 - 4:02 PM

X-rays came back negative on Matt Forte's toe injury.

It doesn't mean he's out of the woods, but it does sound like a day-to-day injury. Forte never returned to Sunday's win over the Dolphins after rushing eight times for 25 yards. We'll have another update on him by Wednesday.
